It hasn't worked for me but it's worth trying. A fix that was given on another forum was to unmount the Data partition. It didn't work with me but maybe it will with you? Or (I haven't tried yet) you could try restoring the backup in an older version of the recovery (because this is a problem with 3.1.0 and 3.1.1).
did you find solution ? i have same problem . i can backup but i cant restore anythiny. i tried all twrp versin nothing helped . i also tried on termainal pm remove-user 999 . this not help too .

i try to wipe factory/data and it's appear agian
and it's disappear after run game or app
any body know how to slove this problem?

at the moment I'm trying to go back to Stock rom. But I think my recovery is not working well, because I'm not able to do a nandroid backup or even a restore from an old backup fails every time. So I decided to renew my recovery by following this instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831161&highlight=cwm
Unfortunately I´m stucking at this point where I enter this.

USB debugging is on, I tried several usb ports and corts. Still don´t know how to move on. Hope you can help me.
Ok I solved the problem. I don`t know how, but adb root acess was disabled.

I have taken the backup of my current stock rom (4.4.2) and I was trying different custom ROM. After few hours I have restored back to my stock rom using clockworkmod recovery. But the issue now is that I'm unable to view any photo or videos in the Gallery also while I was trying to open it display "Unable to load photo" error message, but I can able to view all these images using Ex File explorer.
I have tried searching for solution for this issue but none of the suggestion has worked. :crying: I have also tried clearing the cashe and data for Gallery and media storage. Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue.

Finally this issue got resolved after I restored the backup rom once again. Thanks all..!!
Hey guys i recently decided to switch on pixel experiece rom on my redmi k20 from miui 12 based on android 9 and i watched couple of videos and unlocked my bootloader installed twrp recovery & then i factory reset in twrp then tried to flash my rom but it showed
" Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file 'storage/PixelExperience_plus_davinci-11.0-20210716- 0534-OFFICIAL.zip'
and then i thought maybe wiping data can help and i wiped all data but that problem continues & now i am so worried that what to do as i cant reboot.
Please anyone guide me to fix this.

After installing [ROM][10] DarkJoker360 AOSP 10. I tried to get back to my stock ROM.
I tried to restore the backup using [RECOVERY][warsaw][3.4.0-0]TWRP. But I failed to do that.
Then I tried dload method by using the same recovery, but it did not work!!
I also tried to install using ADB, but it's showing "remote: partition length get error" when I tried to flash stock recovery and boot.img .
My phone is unlocked with PotatoNV.
I know I did something wrong! Please help me to get a raid from this situation!!!
