Does anyone know how I can display any calendars that are shared with my default gmail account [that the HTC Calendar sychs with] on the phone?
Sadly it only displays the default calendar of the account itself.
I understand you can do this in Androind
ooops sorry Mods I didnt see there is a separate Q&A section now!
I updated from a rooted Defy+ to Quark's CM10-20130307 ROM last week, and just today while trying to add an event to my Calendar I noticed that the phone's calendar option is no longer there! I can add an event, but only if I use my Gmail account Calendar (something I'd really want to avoid).
Is this normal, though? Maybe I lost the phone's Calendar from the moment I changed ROM (if not earlier?). Which .apk should be installed in my phone to handle the phone's calendar? I have Calendar (Calendar.apk, v4.1.2-eng.quarx.20130307.203806), and Calendar Storage (CalendarProvider.apk, v4.1.2-eng.quarx.20130307.203806) installed, it seems these should be sufficient.
The lack of phone's calendar is apparent both in the shipped Calendar and the Calendar application I use (aCalendar). I've found no threads with this same problem....
EDIT:
It turns out that by default Android does NOT come with any local calendars, and the one I had in my Defy+ was a Motorola feature. In order to get a local calendar in my custom ROM I had to install Calendar Manager.
hello guys!
I have tried syncing my Facebook Birthdays to my Google Calendar
but their notifications, despite me setting a reminder, did not show
any suggestions?
Coming from my Galaxy Nexus, I had a calendar in my Google Account, where all the birthdays of friends are stored. You simply add them in Contacts and they get synced with a different color as its a different calendar.
Now with the G2 I have the problem, that all old contacts are synced in that birthday calendar. They show up in the calendar widget. But new ones go automatically into the main calendar of my Google account, thus creating a mess.
Under Calendar Settings, all calendars are ticked and should sync accordingly.
But under Contacts, when creating a new birthday for a contact, I found that the main calendar is chosen by default. If I click on the setting to which calendar to add the birthday, it only shows the main calendar and Create new. No option to choose the birthday calendar, which should be there and which is synced as well. Does anyone has a similar problem?

I used to have my Outlook calendar display within the Google calendar app on my phone. After my upgrade to Marshmallow, my Outlook calendar events will not display within the Google calendar app.
I never noticed before that the Outlook calendar will not display within the Google calendar after the upgrade as I was using the Sunrise app (which was bought my Microsoft). I do have the Outlook account configured and both Google and Outlook calendars display correctly with the Sunrise app and the Outlook app. I do not want to use the Outlook app for my calendar; I have factory reset my phone and it still does not display. I have searched many, many different calendar apps but none work.
I have verified through my wife's phone (Galaxy S6) that both calendars display properly. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? If so, have you been able to fix it? I very much appreciate any suggestions as I have searched high and low with no avail.
I am running a DROID Turbo 2 / 6.0 (24.14.12.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US)
