ParanoidAndroid 2.99 beta9.9 problems

Hey guys,
Ive been having problems running PA 2.99 -

I get through initial set up and BAM! "Unfortunately, launcher has stopped"
I thought it might have been UI settings, i flicked across main page and there was a settings shortcut, clicked it and changed UI to all different modes i could, phone, phablet, tablet, tablet (mid). after that i lost top and bottom bars. I reset and now I have a black screen with
"Unfortunately, launcher has stopped"
any ideas here? I only have eyes for PA

Might want to read the thread some. It's a known issue and has had quite a few mentions in the past 24-48 hours.

Also make sure you wipe cache/dalvik before the GAPPS flash.

Ok I just woke up so forgive me.
I have reflashed and wiped everything but WITHOUT Gapps.
problem seems to be gone and I will be loading APK's via TWRP for the time being.
mabye i should try this Gapps instead? - http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps - second one on the list, I was using the one at the top of the list.

I have been using the Nov. 30 signed gapps package at goo.im/gapps. That is the most recent one that didn't cause the launcher issue for me. Another option if you don't want to change gapp packages and you intend to use a different launcher is to click on notifications and then one of the play store notifications. Once in the market install your launcher of choice and open it and set it as default. That is what I did this time and have had no issues using Nova launcher.

ZE552KL WW_14.2020.1703 update disable theme, need earlier SystemUI

Seems like theming is no longer possible on WW_14.2020.1703. All themes can't be downloaded, instead, it sends 'waiting' message that seems to last forever. Anyone experiencing this? If by any chance. SystemUI apk from earlier version of android N could be shared, preferably from 1701, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to go back to a theme that brings me closest to stock android quick setting appearance.

If you have rooted, just disable themes app, change the apk in system with an older version released at the end of last year, enable and wipe data. If app crashes, wipe theme app data, disable, reboot and enable.

Get the version released in November/December in apkmirror.com

I also tried to install compatible themes (according to developers description from Playstore) with Asus launcher but no luck. I don't have root. Is there another method without root access ?
I like Asus launcher but i hate his icons/notifications

Icon packs does a better job for that. You don't need themes. I prefer icon pqcks from Sourabh Gupta. He updates icons frequently and all his icon packs has 5700+ icons. His latest Android O Icon Pack is pretty awesome. It is paid though.

I'm afraid that's not possible without root unless Asus re-enable the option in future update. I think the transparency of quick setting might cause issue(s) with currently available themes. And you're right, quick setting with the rounded toggles and notifs, especially in lock screen, are painfully ugly.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to get new launcher with app drawer on stock 26s?
I have installed this rom from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/help/firmware-leeco-le-3-pro-x720-global-t3720146 but there is no app drawer and it doesnt have the new launcher.
How can i do it but sty on stock without rooting?

You should get update after few days running the rom, it will automatic install new launcher with app drawer and option for 5 by 5.

You need to use Eui launcher? No root you can install other launcher from Playstore easiest way to have app drawer, Flick launcher, Nova etc
If you want to use Eui launcher:
I think you need root and install one other launcher on the phone. I use app from Playstore "Root Uninstaller" by KunKunSoft to uninstall existing Eui launcher(Launcher3), reboot the phone. Then install new Launcher3 1.3.3.04 (apk file) from my link.

There is app call "Pixel drawer" by Sagar Vasnani if you want just app drawer, sometime I use it, just search by word "drawer" on Playstore

I want to stay completely on stock as my banking apps wont work otherwise, even with magisk and safetynet pass. I dont want other launhcer either
I just want the LeEco launcher to be updated, do i have to log into my leeco account as i havent created one? Do i have to set it to a specific region? as i have it set to other regions

how I can disable shortcuts app in oos launcher?

I installed oficial oreo stable oos and I don't find how to disable shortcut in the desktop. In play store doesn't appear.

Yes, it's annoying...
Still not possible to switch off the automatic shortcuts on homescreen under OOS 5.02.
I wonder when this is fixed.

Got an update for the launcher yesterday (V2.2.1) and now there is an option to disable automatic shortcuts.

How to lock background process OOS 9.0.0?

In previous version there was an small lock icon to lock background process in recent tab.
But in OOS 9.0.0 I can't see them option, is it removed or am I missing something.

If I am not wrong you are using an older version of OnePlus Launcher for the multitasking.
In this there is no option to get an app locked. You have to update the OnePlus Launcher to the latest one to get the option.
This has been my own experience.
If someone else knows a version of OnePlus Lancher which has the lock option, please provide the version.

Thats right. I'm using the older version 2.5.1, because Im unable to update it to the newer version,
I download the several apk with ver.3.X.X but when I try to install it, every single apk with ver. 3.X.X failed to install for me.

Okay, I fixed it. I uninstalled the updates for oos launcher, thats all.

This was going to be my suggestion as well. Because that's what I had to do.
Uninstall updates for launcher, Restart the phone and then update the launcher from PlayStore.
