Hi! Is there any way to make other music player work for our RGB on the sides? Its only working on google play music which is very frustrating.

Hi! It's still possible to make the RGB strips work on other apps (not just on music player apps) and I've got a temporary workaround for this. Simply add the app to Shark Space then access the Game Dock, click on the app's title on the Game Dock, go to the Multi-Experience tab, and turn on Athletic Lights. That's it. However, the RGB strips won't work if you leave the app itself so they won't work while the music player is in the background process. But it works when the screen is off as long as the app is in foreground. My device runs on China ROM, and that's how it works. It should also be the same with the Global ROM.
P.S. Not all apps can be added to the Shark Space so there has to be a separate option for this that hopefully will be added in the future updates.
Hi Joe,
I am not sure about Jetaudio but it is working with Poweramp and Blackplayer ex.

Hey guys,
I've looked for the past hour trying to find a good music pannel but I can't find any. If this topic has already been addressed than I appologize
I don't think i'm mistaken when I assume that many of us would appreciate a pannel we could configure to work with WM player, Nitrogen, HTC player etc, but most importantly be able to go to the next / previous song on the pannel itself. For the moment we can only play / pause and it's not very user friendly when trying to switch songs.
I think AndrewSpec is on to something here with SlidingAlbums v. 1.1, even pushing it a step further, but being able to forward rewind would be the best.
Thx,
Will
Here's a plugin that works with Nitrogen. But, you'll need to use the latest alpha.

It even lets you skip to the next/prev song!

Looks pretty good for Nitrogen but unfortunately QVGA only (and only Nitrogen, but that I can live with)
thx though
I'm sorry, but I don't see the problem with the standard panel and WMP ? You can play/pause and next/prev directly, like you're requesting.
Was wondering if anyone had same issue.
I listen to a lot of music over Google Music. Ive noticed that I dont have a lockscreen widget (most of the times if not all the time) and quite often instead of the widget I get sort of artefacts from Camera (the lockscreen one) or the actual Google music Widget itself.
I'm only rooted everything is stock since start...
This is sort of what I get

This is mostly the same size as music widget on photo above
Bump edit. I have factory reset/flashed new stock software and updated it via WiFi and still the same

I have this same problem with the lockscreen. cm10 and franco's latest kernel at this time....
Is it possible to access Google Play Music controls (next track, previous track, etc) while I'm in another app? Or do I need to switch back to the Music app each time I want to change songs?
If I could pull down the notification bar (which contains the Music controls) while in an app, that would work -- but I can't seem to figure out how to do that...
Thanks!
Do you mean this?

How do you mean that you don't have this feature?

Yes, but is there a way to pull down the notification bar when I'm in an app (like a game)?
What I'm looking for is something like the double-tap home button to access music control like on an iPhone/iPad. I'd prefer to not have to exit the app that's currently running when I want to changes tracks. BTW, I'm on 4.2 Jelly Bean.
When you can't see the notification bar, just press the multitask button and it wil appear

I was wondering if there is a way to invert all the colors on the screen. This is a feature on iOS (triple-button press with accessibility), and also its a stock widget on the Samsung Galaxy S3.
I searched for an app that would do this but to no luck. Is this possible on stock Nexus 4?
Example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thank you
I don't think there is anything that can do this on stock Android unfortunately. The only type of apps with similar function is the ones that overlay the screen with a translucent black or coloured overlay so that you can read at night without straining your eyes.

I have one other question : WHY ?
If you want to use phone at night, simply install a dark theme

Thanks Chrono_Tata, yeah thats all I could find as well, might resort to the screen overlays for now.
I guess I'm just used to the iPod Touch, where I could on-demand triple-press the home button and it would invert the screen. This was convenient when viewing white-background webpages, PDFs, etc.
I know that some apps support themes however not everything does. Having a system-level on-demand toggle would be in my case more convenient than ensuring the apps I use support themes and managing each apps themes individually.
I tried the default Google Play and Music. Both displays a widget that allows me to pause/restart the track, but none of them displays how much play time remains on the track. Such functionality would be useful because I play files than often last an hour or so.
most of the players don't offer that functionality in the lock screen.

The music player on iOS (even on 7.x) gives you a progress bar and the ability to backtrack or forward from lock screen. If most android players don't have this functionality, in addition to the _default_ player, that's a serious problem. Remember that besides being phone, photos, web browsing, and games platform, the music player is one of the top applications of smartphones. Aren't smartphones meant to kill the ipod? Then why I can't access the most basic functions of music player from the lock screen? All I can do right now is stop and go. that's it.
poweramp haves all that functionality you talk about
