My screen never turn off with proximity sensor. Pocket mode is on and proximity sensor it ok, I tested in with and app. What can I do?

Give us more details about your phone: region model (sim locked, unlocked), rooted or not, Magisk modules you're using if rooted, firmware version...

A6010, 9.0.14, magisk 19.3 without modules.

If it's when you callling, it's a bug in the oneplus dialer app just install the google dialer app and problem is gone.

Proximity sensor causing problems to Knock Code, perhaps software issue?

Two months ago I updated the firmware of my LG G2 D802 to Android 5.0.2 via the LG PC suite. After the installation I made a factory data reset to have a "clean" firmware.
Software info.
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: LRX22G
Software version: V30b-EUR-XX
Currently this is the latest stock firmware.
I use the Knock Code as lock screen. The proximity sensor is causing a problem to the Knock Code after the update to Android 5.0.2.
It makes the smartphone believe that there have been 5 attempts to enter the code even if the screen hasn't been touched.
I've uploaded a video about the issue on YouTube.
Please search for "LG G2 D802 proximity sensor problem with Knock Code " because, as a new user, I'm not allowed to insert links.
It usually happens that the Knock Code recovery procedure is activated when I put the smartphone into my pockets.
The proximity sensor is working fine while phoning. I wonder if this could be a bug of the new firmware.
I installed the app Terminal Emulator. Is there a command to log the system related messages, something like the Linux terminal command tail -f /var/log/messages ?
In this way I could post the log and maybe a skilled user could help me to understand if it is a software or hardware problem.
Thanks for any help!
Bye!

CAMERA FAILED (not even wiping chache helped)

i got a glaxy s4 and everything works, except the camera. i constantly get the message: camery failed
i tryed everything:
- wipe cache of camera and galery app and reboot
- i also replaced the camer module
- was on 4.4.2 stock and flashed optimized cm 12.1 and imperium v10
if i enter the code *#34971539# on 5.01 stock i can only press phone/cam fw check and cam and phone fw versions are different. i also can press isp core voltage check and vendor id and it returns null value.
under 4.4.2 i could also use other option in that menu but nothing helped. i flashed 5.0,1 and after the camera wasnt working i replaced it with a cam from someone that broke his screen and didnt need it.
can someone please help me?
no one?
bumping threads under 24hrs old is against xda rules.
ok here are my findings:
- even after camera module replacement the camera isnt working
- if i dial *#0*# i can turn on the front cam and it works
when i dial*#34971539# and press PHONE TO CAN FW WRITE than i get:
- CAM FW WER: S13F0SAGB39
- PHONE FW VER: S13F0SAGHO1
and when i press update it updates and tells me to reboot. after reboot the camera still isnt working and the strangest part is when i check cam fw version it is the same as before the update and if i press PHONE TO CAM FW WRITE i get the same option to update again. so actually the PHONE TO CAM FW WRITE is not working.
also i flashed stock android 4.2.2, 4.4.2, 5.01 with odin and the cam fw is always the same. is there any way to manually overide CAM FW? or does anyone have a solution?
i was also thinking if maybe some part of the system is corrupt and if there is any way to completely reflash the phone (because now with odin some settings remain even after flash)
I´m facing a similar problem with my S4, but both front and rear cameras don´t work.
About your situation. What is your s4 model? Did you installed the right module? Between all the s4 models, the rear camera modules are not the same? Between i9500 and i9506, for instance, each have a different rear camera module.
Hope it helps

my model is i9505 and i did install the correct module and its not working.
it seem like the camera fw doesnt want to update or its a faulty motherboard.
does someone have an idea what i can try to fix it?
I got the Same problem. It sucks as hell and i hope someone can help us!
same problem, someone knows how to fix now?
Same issue
I have the exact same issue with my T-Mobile variant of the S4. I've tried wiping the camera memory, factory resetting and even applying a new rom. I'll keep searching for solutions and if I find anything, I'll let you guys knows. I'm leaning towards this being a motherboard issue.

[Information] Bug related to new Samsung firmwares about the fingerprint sensor

Hello
I'm not alone to be surprised by this new bug, but... here is it.
On the latest monthly release of Samsung firmwares (I discovered the bug on my S6 edge S3DPF1), Samsung updated the fingerprint service and they pooped their service.
If you proceed the update without doing factory reset -> you're okay.
If you do a factory reset with the latest firmware -> your fingerprint sensor will fail everytime
So if you've got this problem, downgrade to the precedent firmware and do a factory reset.
What is doing this bug : "Lift your finger." during 5 secondes while registering and bad chances to unlock phone
Mine Is rocking With Fingerprint Sensor No Problem At all

Unrooted my Device, GPS Issues followed

Hello, I once rooted my S7 edge (SM-G935F, Android 7.0), however some apps complained about my device being rooted (mainly my mobile banking app, as it noticed something wasn't normal on my device, turned out that something was the root) Therefore I decided to unroot my device, it worked perfectly except that apps don't find my phones GPS anymore (yes it is turned on and I have restarted my device already)
I have checked both the GPS Settings putting it on GPS Only or on High Accuracy didn't help. Neither is the problem with the apps, not a single one finds my GPS. When I dial *#0*# to get to GPS calibration it tells me that I either have connection problems or an invalid MMI-Code
Additionally I had Android Marshmallow while my device was rooted, as I unrooted it I flashed Nougat via Odin
Did you update your modem/baseband?
Also there was no need to unroot you should of just switched to and used magisk hide
