Hi everyone,
I would to know if this tablet has a gyroscope sensor. According to gsmarena, there is one, however according to an app called Gyroscope Test there is not. Also apps that required a gyroscope doesn't seem to work. I don't know if the kernel I installed simply doesn't support the gyroscope.
Thank you
Hey, I just downloaded aida64 and gyroscope test to test it.
Aida64 shows me:
LIS3DH Acceleration sensor: x / y / z
MS-3R(YAS532) Magnetic sensor: x / y / z
MS-x Orientation sensor: Azimuth / Pitch / Roll
AL3201 Light sensor
Screen orientation sensor
If I open the gyroscope test app it shows me:
Device Model ID: Samsung GT-N5110
Detected hardware
Gyroscope: No
Magnetometer: Yes
Accelerometer: Yes
Google Cardboard compatible: No
If I run the simulation in the app, I was able to looking around by moving my tab. It was smooth and correct.

I want to ask about gyroscope calibration.
I'm using stock rom ICS DXLP9 and speedmod kernel.
In Setting, display, there is gyroscope calibration. But in my note, its sensor not moving.
Trying to flash to stock kernel, its the same. Its sensor is not moving.
Is this gyroscope calibration, normally its sensor move or not ?
When trying using secret code *#0*#, in sensor test, for gyroscope, its can detect movement.
Is there anything wrong with my note ?
Which apps are you using that require the gyro?
Hello,
I noticed that the proximity sensor on the nexus 4 is not a proximity sensor persay, it just detects if an object is there or not (digital on/off). To give you an example, when downloading the following application (Android Sensor Box), testing the proximity sensor would actually give you a number between 0-5 cm. So if the object was 2.5 cm away from the sensor, the software would report 2.5cm and so on. On the other hand, for the nexus 4, when placing a object between 0-5 cm away from the sensor, the software would report 0, when the object is 5cm or greater from the sensor, the software would report 5cm. Can anyone confirm?
Thank you

Confirmed. This is a hardware limitation of the phone.
Hello
I have an LG E610 which is marked as not for sale, I had the famous "user debug mode" show in the UI, but almost everithing was working well.
I tried to flash it using official kdz ROM, and this passed well, but after booting, I don't have the screen rotation, neither the GPS, I don't need GPS. But the screen rotation is important for me.
Using the Android System Information I got this list of sensors:
BMA250 3-axis Accelerometer
BMM050 3-axis Magnetic field sensor
BMM050 Orientation sensor
GP2A Proximity
Rotation Vector
Please help me find the drivers for this sensors (if this is the problem).
Thanks in advance
so did any one solve this problem have same s*&^%$
Hello zenfone users,
Today my sister's zenfone 2 laser arrived (ze550kl) and I have two questions:
The specification says that it has gyro but it's not working in youtube or Google camera ;\ cpuz shows "orientation sensor" that works like gyroscope because it shows angle of the device. What do you think? Is this real gyroscope that we will be able to use after modding?
My second question is about double tap to wake. I enabled it in settings but it's not working at all. In one shop that had zenfone laser on display it was working flawlessly. Is this hardware issue? It hasn't got any protector on screen. In fact all of the off screen shortcuts are not working.
Edit
OK sorry I'm stupid xD Doble tap works. I was trying it using this plastic cover that it comes with so proximity sensor thought that something is in front of it so tap wasn't working sorry.
My phone is ze 500 kl that's why it doesn't have gyro xd
I'm interested in knowing about gyroscope also, I'm planning to buy a ze601kl but if no gyro it's a no go for me...
Did you try with z-devicetest or similar sensors app to see if it works there?
Well I checked cpu-z on my friends moto g 2gen that has real gyro and it has both gyroscope and orientation sensor on the list. Both were showing angle of the phone but orientation in degrees and gyro in radians so that's strange. http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/general/specs-asus-zenfone-2-laser-t3242377 this says that it has gyro but for example google camera/youtube 360 can't see it.
edit
allright I found info here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/sensors/sensors_position.html
Orientation sensor is not a gyro! It works similar but it uses geomagnetic field sensor in combination with a device's accelerometer.
EDIT
ok again I'm stupid it's ze500kl not ze550kl xdd sorry
Plz mod delete this useless thread
So i just got a Nixon Mission, awesome android wear device, lacks access to the sensors inside of it like : thermometer, altimeter, barometer, e-compass, gyrometer, accelerometer and humidity sensors.
Does anybody know if there is a face out there that has all these , or an app ?
tks
