Known issues
Video camcorder is glitchy
Low incall volume
Screen recording only works in a 3rd-party apps
If found a bug not listed here, feel free to report
Installation
Upgrading from CyanogenMod / LineageOS without wiping
For now, a dirty installation over another LineageOS 13.0 builds is not supported. It's highly recommended to proceed the installation with a full wipe.
First time LineageOS 13.0 installation:
NOTE: These builds aren't supported by Chrono Kernel, please don't install it - more on that in F.A.Q. section.
Download and flash a custom kernel from http://xda.mister-freeze.eu/XDA-files/ChronoMonochrome/kernel/temporary_kernel
(for Galaxy Ace 2 choose temporary_kernel_codina.zip, for S Advance - temporary_kernel_janice.zip). This step is not required if you already have TWRP recovery installed.
Reboot into recovery
Perform factory reset
Flash the Lineage 13.0 zip from SD card
Reboot
F.A.Q.
Camera start issues?
I hope I've worked around this issue, however it can be possible that camera refuses to start sometimes.
In the case this happens, for now there's only solution to wipe data partition.
Compatibility with standalone Chrono Kernel?
These builds aren't supported by Chrono Kernel.
The reasons for that are some incompatible changes in the ROM, so in order to make ROM maintaining easier, the standalone kernel version was dropped for now, however this can be changed in the future and support can be brought back. For now, please don't report bugs if you have installed it over these builds.
It seems like LineageOS 13.0 is quite outdated and unsupported anymore. Any reasons to build / use it?
It's truth, the currently supported LineageOS versions are 15.1 and 16.0. The reason to return to some older LineageOS builds is a maintaining issues on a such newer Android version as Pie or Oreo. It has become clear I can't support LineageOS 16.0 builds with big amount of hacks used in our builds.
Ok, this device development is pretty much dead rather than alive. Why keep it up?
It's a non-profit project. I like to support especially such an old devices, so no problems if there wouldn't be that much of users.
Finally, an unofficial LineageOS 13.0 build was released a long time ago for this device. What is different in these builds?
Existing LOS builds for this device has a lot of hacks in the source code. With upgrade to a newer Android versions it becomes more and more difficult to support it. I had to reconsider the way some device specific fixes are implemented, so that it should be easier to support it.
Still, I'm not entirely sure I'm able to get rid of every device hack used, however after some experience gained from I9300 development I feel myself much more confident than before. So that said you won't know if you don't try.

Reporting bugs
When reporting reboots, please produce log below as follows
(using adb or terminal)
Code:
su
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
and attach in this thread.
If reporting another issues
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
A rough timestamp of when the issue occurred is also useful.

to quickly & easily capture logcat (Main log), Kernel log (dmesg) & Last Kernel log (last_kmsg which is important in case of unwanted reboot) without using a computer + adb or use a Terminal emulator on the phone:
Root the phone
Developer Options > Store logger data persistently on device > select All. More info about it here on developer.android.com
Install the free SysLog.
Reboot the phone & reproduce the problem(s).
Open Syslog & select logcat, dmesg & last_kmsg. Add some significant keywords in the bottom including in Notes describing the bug & hit Take log.
The individual logs + a .zip of all of them will be saved in /sdcard/Syslog. You must rename them .txt to be able to attach them to an XDA post like logcat.log > logcat_log.txt for example. Or you can choose Share which will .zip them & then you can attach to a post or upload somewhere & link to in your post if the .zip is too big for XDA's attachment service (20 MB max).
***
Bug Reports & Logs?
If the phone is not rooted you can grant this permission to enable Syslog using ADB (15 seconds ADB Installer) & a computer:
adb shell pm grant com.tortel.syslog android.permission.READ_LOGS
You can also install an app like MatLog to analyse the logcat, filter it, search in it, export files etc but Syslog is fast & easy. If not rooted grant permission for MatLog:
adb shell pm grant com.pluscubed.matlog android.permission.READ_LOGS

Our S advance cant handle Pie roms for sure. This is perfect!
it would be nice if. You did lineage os 14 ultimaterom has annoying storage bug imma go try this
Hey, thanks for this ROM. I believe I found a bug. When I set a timer for 2 minutes, it took about 2:50 to go off. Longer timer durations will increase the delay.

Deathly Auditor
sorry, wrong thread. please delete.
Finally
Here it is :
2017/01/12 build
Bugs for now :
* Wifi broken, logcat errors "Supplicant not running, cannot connect" (for me at least, please report)
* Fingerprint disabled
* Mobile data connection bloken (SIM works)
i loaded the rom; the exact issues as you list.
also file browser doesn't want to see ext sdcard even tho seen in settings; sdcard1 is same as just sdcard
i took the browser from that rom, but it does not install on marshmallow; why?
@deadman96385 about the wifi issue, could I have made something wrong in my device tree?
Thank you
Edit : I found my mistake, i will make a new build today if I can.
if its not related to kernel, can you make flashable zip instead of flashing the whole rom again ?
For a dirty quick fix until I upload the new build :
Boot in TWRP, mount /system partition
and with adb or with TWRP terminal type :
Code:
ln -s /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_apsta.bin /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_apsta.bin_4354_a1
ln -s /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_ibss.bin /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_ibss.bin_4354_a1
ln -s /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_mfg.bin /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_mfg.bin_4354_a1
ln -s /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_sta.bin /system/etc/wifi/bcmdhd_sta.bin_4354_a1
Sorry for this mistake.

As the current ROM is starting to become quite stable, there's been progress made towards automated weekly builds for LineageOS 14.1.
The infrastructure is being set-up by @thompatry.
If this goes forward, this implies:
There will be a new build every week, probably build being completed late Friday.
The builds will no longer be personally tested by me before being uploaded (but everything will probably be fine)
Change logs will no longer be posted within every new build, but instead when the changes are uploaded to GitHub. I will try though to post changes for major bugs or fixes as they are released.
Some builds might feature only minor changes, ie. only updating the LineageOS source

Purpose of this thread? TESTING.
Unofficial builds will receive additions before they are added to the official LineageOS repos. These builds are made every Friday, not every build will have extra features. These unofficial builds also offer OMS.
Beware you will not get much support when using unofficial builds, unless I am testing something. If you complain about an issue, a log MUST be given or I will simply ignore you and not reply to you. If you have issues installing refer to the Official LineageOS thread, this is not a support thread for people who can't install it and/or just want OMS. Its mainly for users who like testing new features, are in need of Permissive SELinux, and are able to understand what is going on, and are able to provide Logs should they be required.
Even though OMS is in the ROM, I will not be supporting issues that people have with it!
Whats different?
SELinux is permissive
OMS is included
Using exynos5420 repos (including kernel etc) which are more beta then official repos.

Using it since yesterday, and it's just great. Waiting for it since long time, lineage is the best time for me because of its simplicity but the lack of one support was the reason I was using aicp or rr. But this lineage +oms change everything, for me it's perfect combo thanks a lot
Just , with July bean gapps face unlock (smart Lock) FC, with aicp with June beans also same problem , should be a beans gapps side issue. I'll give further reports after some times but until now no problems

ok, rom works... on mods
battery seen it working not sure though if charging... does not seem to be reported.
moto camera is connecting camera starts but the shutter does not open
battery saver mode is slow like hell but is suspect that is normal.
@erfanoabdi @DD3Boh i'm having a issue when you set to performance mode on battery settings the phone lags and you can see the ui freezes but balance mode works, maybe is something with the power profiles, and using 2 sim i have issues to connect to internet or switch the sims.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. Wi-Fi working ootb (thanks to rsyhan and Manolo)
I'm going to test every rom in mi8 lite forum as soon as I unlocked my BL.
This rom must be first bez it is Pie?.
Thanks devs .
Any feedback on the status of this ROM?
Finally!!! Gonna try it this evening or else tomorrow
Many Thanks!!
Anyone find bugs?
Just tried to patch this ROM into my platina, but at first I got a Error 7 message. Looked like the updater-script had a line to many, or mayb misconfigured?
After removing this line:
assert(platina.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF.4.0.7-00100") == "1");
The installation continued as it should, and I'm now configuring the device.
I could also not find where this line should be matching to?
Think I was replying to fast...
The system could not boot at all as it was hanging on the first screen which says "Unlocked bootloader". Nothing else happened.
Tried all I could so far to make it boot but nothing worked for me.
So back again on a working ROM....
Uploaded lineage-16.0-20190111-UNOFFICIAL-platina.zip to /sdcard and entered TWRP-recovery (version 3.2.3-1003).
During installation the following message is shown:
Checking for Digest file ...
Skipping Digest check: no Digest file found
assert failed: platina.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF.4.0.7-00100)=="1"
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Do I have to wipe something before installation? Or what is going wrong here?
*BUGS*
assert failed: platina.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF.4.0.7-00100)=="1"
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Unable to boot after delete this assert
NEW BUILD:
EDIT: Build doesn't boot. I will check soon. My friend @Lunarixus got AOKP to boot, hopefully Lineage should do the same.
Changelog:
- Fixed error 7
- Fixed DT/vendor *should boot*
- Updated sources
PLEASE INSTALL MIUI 10 PIE FIRMWARE BEFORE INSTALLING
Please grab logs such as kmsg and dmseg if it doesn't boot.

Great! With this build I was able to boot! This LineageOS 16 is now running on my MI 8 Lite. Thanky you for your work!!!
Question: What to do with your firmware updater? As I wanted to update the firmware, as requested in #11, I installed the zip, rebooted, ... but what have I to do then. I didn't find any changes in settings (perhaps I didn't see it) and no new app. So ...?

If you don't update to Pie before flashing any 9.x ROM, you'll have all sorts of broken things like sound not working, HWC broken, camera broken, etcetc.

This thread is for Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 builds for klimtwifi (SM-T700) The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
I don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
Have not attempted a clean flash
First time flashing LineageOS 14.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s)
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data/factory reset
Flash LineageOS
Install the Google Apps addon package (Optional)
Reboot
There will be a new build every week, every Monday.

Installation
How to Install md5sum ? is it needed ?
How to install this version if I have the official version installed?
Enviado desde mi MI 8 mediante Tapatalk
I just installed the latest version. To install it over the official version, it was necessary to let twrp do a factory wipe.
The ROM appears to work just fine, but I have a few questions:
-the ROM suggests to configure the fingerprint, but I can't get my finger recognised. Is the fingerprint supported at all? (If it isn't, it is no big deal. I just need to know.)
-a new app called "Deathly Adiutor" is installed by default. Apparently, it is set up to manage the exynos processor. Do people use it and how?

Do I have to Install md5sum file ?
No, you don't need to install the md5sum file. You can use it, and then the rom is checked for tampering, but it is not compulsory.

In what way, does anyone know? Speeding it up? (That would be cool!)

It is a kernel editor, you can edit clock speeds etc. It is developed by us (Exynos5420 team). It could not be on the official builds due to Lineage restrictions with pre-installed apps.
Please use it ONLY if you know what you are doing though
Thanks @DarkExistence for the contribution and continue with the ROM, my tablet revives now. I am testing it and at the moment it works very fine, only small lags in some transitions (build 20190420)
Thanks for building!
Please let me know if you need some specific testing and reporting scenario.
I tried to install latest unofficial release to my SM-T700 with the official samsung 6.0.1 release installed, with unlocked bootloader, last TWRP and rooted but can't boot, remains at the LineageOS logo. Official LineageOS installs without any issues. I also tried with older TWRP and unofficial releases with no success. Before the installation I did a factory reset and format data. Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks

Hm, installs fine for me. I assume by factory reset you mean the relevant trigger in twrp? Maybe try regularly wiping dalvik, data, system and cache in twrp (sounds like you might not have wiped the system partition, as a factory reset leaves that untouched)
Finally got around to giving this a try after backing up Official.
Fully wiped/formatted prior to install which went without a hitch.
Then I found I had problems with GPS not connecting.
Since this is my only and regularly used T700 device, restored my Official back again.
