First find and long press the app you want to play music with in this case I'm doing ytmusic.

No problem your not samsung just make these things way to complicated I'm just a technology nerd ? with too much time to dig into the settings and find out what they do. Hope this stops the playback issues
I just happened to run into this issue this past week with jetaudio player. I've never experienced my music stopping with my other music apps with optimization on at all times and sleeping app in the background always on. But for some reason with jetaudio it does this and I hate it lol. I find when I turn running in the background on for the app it really drains the battery alot.
Also I can't even seem to get the jetaudio app to stop running on my lock screen whenever music is playing it's annoying with no fix sadly.

How do i close a program in the magic, i dont want it running in the background. Is there a prog like a taskmanager or something..??
Hi ,
Download "advance task manager lite" off the Market. This is a very very helpful app which can close all your programs running and very simple to use. And it is Free.
If you need anymore help feel free to post back

It's a free version. The actual name is "Advanced Task Manager Lite" so do a search on "Advanced".
I did do a search and can't find it. Anyone else managed to find it under Rogers in Canada?
I can easy find it. I use it every day, but i find it a bit strange that you cant close apps in any other way! And alot of programs doesnt have a "Quit/Exit" function.
Does anyone have any explanation to why its not possible to close programs without download extra programs?
you know,
I think i heard Something about when you leave the app , it does actually sort of close.
It saves the state you left it in (freezes) and unfreezes when you enter it again. So really the App is not running or using any comsumption at all until you are in the app.

This is true.
It is because android is awesome at app management. There is no real need for closing apps. It leaves apps kinda open (saves their state in ram) but not running. That`s why most apps open so fast. And even though more ram is "in use" it doesn`t cost you battery life.
Thanks for confirming ,
What a fantatic way , The OS is fantastic and I can guarantee that Android has alot of potential and Can only get better and come up with more technological breaking idea's!!

Oh i didnt know that!! Sounds really fantastic. I have to get used to a whole new way of thinking then, i think im too used to windows
Anyway. I love Android more and more. But i was shocked when i found out that you cant send or receive files via bluetooth. I hope this is their number 1. priority in the next released. I mean, comon .. phones have been able to do this for 10 years now!

i did not find it either. i m using rogers too
but you can download Close Everything at Market for free.
i think those apps are similar. the only difference is you have to close EVERYTHING instead of choosing an app to end it.
anyway, the system is not getting slower even i open lots apps.
maybe, the "freeze" thing is true
yesterday I had my phone fully charged before i got to sleep, in the morning 8 hours later the battery was almost empty. GPS and WIFI was disabeld, so I think all the programs in the "background" ( a lot ) killed the battery.
Or what do you think killed the batt?

if you disable background data usage in data sync that will save batt life and lower data usage too.
do not know if that helps at all

alarms still work (tested just now)
i do not know how that app works ~oops~
maybe it does not work at all hahaha
not all programs stop running. some are designed to run in the background
the only real way to check what is running is to use a task manager
I paid $0.99 for advanced task manager. Its a good, but basic app. And hardly breaks the bank at that price!
The other issue I get is "go slows" sometimes on the phone. It doesn't seem to crash, just response times go into the seconds. I switch off and on to soft reset and its fine.

Why should I disable data usage? If i have an app that use data, then I only need to close the app. Please correct me if I´m wrong.

yeah, I stated that it is the changes made besides those you can see from UI. (UI stands for User Interface - battery notification counts under this category).
P.S. I know MediaHub is included but without starting the application, you can't tell from looking at the UI alone.
Edit: I added Almost to my sentence, there happy? lol.

JI6 feels extremely smooth compare to stock JDF, I don't even use lagfix anymore because it makes the phone soft brick when you flash another ROM (stock or cooked). Many people have reported the same changes in feeling as well for both JI5 and JI6.

Built in to ji6, If so where?
On a side not I've noticed after the update my phones a little buggy. Like it blazes in places it used to lag and lags on things it used to never have problems with. I know the is not the thread to talk about such things. Just thought I'd mention it while asking about the market widget. Thinking of doing a hard reset to see if that still clear it up.
Also not positive about this but I think the phone will auto drop out of 3g when battery is low, possibly to save juice. Like I said I'm not positive on this but I get full bars at home and since updating phone has dropped out of 3g several times, which has never happened before. This only happens as far as I've noticed when battery is getting low. Maybe its just coincidence. Has anyone else noticed this?

JI6 was very smooth compared to JFD, that's for sure. However, having moved on to Bionix 1.8 w/ voodoo, I find stock JI6 kind of laggy, especially in home key transitions.

Is there a way to turn that off? I got the update last night and it was annoying to have that tone go off while charging my Vibrant overnight.
Left out the part where the update fixed the default program bug. You can change program defaults without the phone resetting them. As an example ... Using launcher pro or zeam when I press home it would give a selection dialog that tells you to pick one. Now if you were to check the default and choose launcher pro the home button would automatically open launcher pro like three time then open up the default program selection.

Yeah I just noticed the option to have the app default HQ
Also they updated the UI of the music player
While playing music in the now playing section (where it shows the album art) when they phone is tilted to landscape the player now puts the album art to the left and the controls on the right (it would go to the spinning discs if landscaped)

So I am finding conflicting information online about this functionality. Essentially when I would like to do is say a hotword (the default is "google") and the phone would launch a search. As far as I can tell this can only be initiated from within Google Now, which to be honest is almost pointless. Given that you need to touch the screen to launch Google Now its just as easy to hit the little microphone icon. Is it possible to launch the Google Now search without actually being in Google Now? It would be great if I could simply roll over after I get up in the morning and say a hotword which wakes the phone and launches the search app.

You are correct, that's how it is supposed to work. The phone Googling every time somebody said Google would be out of control.
It's probably possible somehow, but the constant listening for voice input would reduce your battery to a potato.

The microphone constantly enabled while endlessly comparing the input to listen for a keyword?
Absolutely, yes.
Ok, so what about if that only happened when it was charging? For instance, when I am sleeping I leave the phone on the nightstand next to my bed and it is plugged in. Alternatively if you have it setup in your car so that it is charging while you drive. Both instances are ideal for when you would need truly "hands free" access to search functionality.

Tasker I believe.

Hello Guys,
I have been trying almost all the KK Roms available for SP.And the only thing holding me back was battery life.
So i looked into info and found Google services/ google play services taking around 20-30% of my battery. This is the case mostly when you have location reporting turned ON.So i did some digging of myself and found a possible fix without loosing any functionality.
Google services now doesn't even make to the list of battery drainage as you can see in the screenshot below.
HOW TO-
[1] Go to settings>privacy>privacy guard(In some roms it might be under security).
[2] In privacy guard tick the option for built in apps.
[3] Then locate google play services and long press it for further options.
[4] There will be lot of options like location, read contacts, modify contacts etc..
[5] Set permissions as denied for all EXCEPT LOCATION..
[6] Reboot to see changes and terminate already running processes.
You can have a better idea with the screenshots attached below.
this doesn't affects any google apps like google search, play etc..
I Hope this works for you too:laugh:

Hi all
I use my share location sometimes on way home from work, but it doesn't work, as soon as I open the app again it starts to work again?
Seems the app has to be open and running and on to be working.
Not an issue on previous phones, is there a way to allow it to remain running? Seems silly to need to have it on?
Try to not optimize the battery usage on WhatsApp. That may solve the issue. I have experienced delay in notifications with WhatsApp, so I removed that optimization. Normally this solves the 90% of the issues with location, notifications or background processes
