Hello guys, how to uninstall dolby.??
I have a sennheisser headphones and the sound is terrible, very sharp... meanwhile in my older phone sounds good
When I disable it, then in youtube music, or google music I cant even see the option of the equalizer of those apps.
Any help please?
I agree that it makes the audio distorted and sound like garbage. Much better to install Magisk + Ainur Sauron + ViPER4Android FX (then try out Viper Clarity)
To disable Dolby you can use Titanium backup and freeze it!

I do not have root. Can I install and freeze Dolby with Titanium?
Unsure. You might be able to find some app like Titanium that works the same but non root?

does disabling it from the app info page not disable it?
Oh that should do it. I thought there wouldn't be the option. Some system apps don't let you do this
I did a comparison between G7 and Z3 Play with USB C digital audio adapter (Anker)
G7 sound still a bit more distorted than Z3 Play
If you're really serious about playing music, Z3 Play is a better choice because you have option not to use audio processing at all (100% express)
***** update *****
Here is a solution:
If your G7 is rooted, go to /system/app/ and move two dax folders to external memory card and reboot

try another music player from playstore n turn off its equalizer or fx so it can use your dsp music fx ..... ex. best music player.apk
By mistake i uninstalled music fx in grand 2..how to get my music fx again?
if you are on stock or custom rom in both cases you have to reinstall the firmware or rom again. however, you can try copying the apk again to /system/app folder, but i guess it will not work.
Has anyone tested another sound mod enhancement besides dolby atmos?

Yes I have. V4A also known as Viper 4 Android is supported by our device (at least it worked for me. NO GUARANTEE). It works about the same as Dolby Atmos. Its as usual a personal preference thingy, just like some people enjoy a Playstation and others the Xbox.
Besides that there are other packs out here on XDA that might work but they have not been explicitly tested or anything. Go and use the search if you want to experiment a little but remember, ALWAYS Backup all your stuff.

did you manage to get viper working with the stock music player?

Yes I did but only with the chinese Version. That also has been with the old Android (5.1.1). With the european version of the music player it had issues and didnt do anything to the sound.
It also worked with Google Play Music, Spotify, Phonograph and the HTC Stock Music app that I am using now on 6.0 with Dolby Atmos.
Dolby Atmos has always been my goto software because it worked with all tested versions by me and honestly I have been through many versions on the P8 Lite.
Try A.R.I.S.E, I'm using EC 7.5 with smeejay's tweak.prop, try it!

Extract that zip, there is a folder there, "extras", it's there.
I use PowerAmp to play all my music. I found Dolby Atmos app on my Axon 7. But I could not turn it ON while my Poweramp player is playing. Also what is use of Dolby Atmos and how it works ?
Atmos is just a software eq. You can just stick with PowerAmp eq if you want. If you have FLAC music and want to use the hi-fi DAC, you will have to use the ZTE music app. The DAC doesn't work outside of the app from what I can tell.

That's software equalizer. Hi-fi DAC is hardware component.

Checking MusicFX means it will use the phone's built-in EQ which is the Dolby Atmos one which should use the Hi-Fi DAC.
EDIT: Ok I guess I was wrong, but it is possible to use the Hi-Fi DAC with Poweramp 3.0 Alpha! See HERE

Poweramp Alpha does work with Dolby Atmos. You just need to put Poweramp in Hi Res Audio Output through the settings.

Nope, just have the installed version from the Play Store. I'll get the alpha, thanks for the response.
Am I the only one that can't get the tracks to be listed in listed order in the stock music app? No matter what I do or which section I choose to view the tracks, they're always listed alphabetically.
Got burned by Lenovo's A10-70 tablet that also have implemented Dolby ATMOS. That tablet sound will get screwed up every time I loaded Poweramp normal Play Store version. Even disable Direct Volume Control in Poweramp does not help. Please tell me if both normal and alpha version of Poweramp works fine with this phone since I am very much interested. I am also not familiar with ZTE software update policy. Not sure if it will get updated as often and as long like Google Nexus phones.

Shuttle (and Shuttle+) work well with Dolby Atoms, just disable the built in EQ.
DON'T use "n7 Player" - Before their update, it messed up Dolby and I had to reset my phone twice (a 3rd time was my fault). After their latest update, it renders Dolby Atoms useless and when you try to enable it, it restarts the phone (had to reset my phone twice). Thanks to n7 (my favorite player) not playing well with Dolby Atmos, I've had to reset my phone a total of 5 times since getting it 3 weeks ago.

Headset HiFi and Dolby Atmos works with my music player of choice as well: Clean Music. Probably because it's just a simple GUI (entire player is less than 1MB) and leaves all the processing to the system.
Okay apart from Poweramp and builtin music player - what are other good options to make use of best available audio on board with Axon 7 ?

Well Spotify seems to work well for me. It probably doesn't use the Hi-Fi chip but with Dolby enabled the sound is very nice.
Call me stupid or lazy but the volume is tiny compared to my old LG G2. I have to turn it all the way up to 70%. Is this the case for you guys?
Hello
I tried to use poweramp, but this isn´t dolby Atmos enabled, but, I ´m using Jetaudio plus... and this works PERFECT, remember that this sound app was designed for use in high -end mp3 players ( like cowon), and i can say with full confidence that works great with dolby atmos, boosting very well the music in the speakersphone, in the bluetooth car stereo and headphones ( wired and wireless)... this app bringing bass optimization ( in the original speakersphone the bass is very poor), let me know your experience, i´ll try to help
Please don't recommend warez. Against XDA rules. Getting paid apps for free is warez.

i love when someone expresses gratitude with an aid. The post was edited, It was with pleasure!
Someone on the Zte forums said you need to disable direct volume control and BT direct volume control in the settings. In order to get power amp to work with Dolby.
And I can confirm that I am able to use the hifi setting and Dolby with Tidal. Which actually makes the music sound better to me than my dp-x1 onkyo player, which makes me mad cause that thing cost me 800$ lol
hi, I found sound volume is too low for speaker on this phone. I got G4 which sound pretty good for my like.
My solution at the moment is use App "Volume boost GOODEV" from play store to boost the volume. I found you can boost 30-40% if set it to 50% or over sound start to crack and lose quality.
Do we have any mode for sound for device use SD820/821 anyone? thanks

Which dolby atmos we can enable volume leveller for this phone? Can you share the link to download?
The dolby I mentioned didn't work. For the moment with stock rom I use app "Volume booster Gooddev" it helps
I recommend Viper4Android for that, it has a setting called Cloud and it's an adjustable boost. Also there's a decibel boost systemwide. I found that Arise's works best and the Aroma installer flashable zip works best. Make sure to click the option to remove music FX so all volumes route through it and also let it set permissive mode. Like to use the EQ to cut out the low bass that a tiny phone speaker can't reproduce, pretty much anything under 150hz or so.

I use stock dolby atmos. If by any chance u have problem accessing the dolby control panel,
Download Anycut from playstore. Inside the app tap new shortcut - activity - dolby - ok.
Then u can access the dolby control panel from your homescreen.
Turn on dolby and tap any preset that u like. Tap the same preset and edit as u want.

Does it clash with other audio mods? Also, may I use it in a mod of mine if credit is given?

May be. It depends on the compatibility.
For example, viper stop working after installing this modification. But if you flash Amplio at first, and then install Viper everything will be ok. I guess same situation with others well known sound mods.
Amplio deleting AudioFX MusicFX etc. Amplio changing some system files. You can unzip archive and see, which files are changing.
Unfortunately my English not so good, and I cannot tell about this mod better.
Just backup and try.
I use this mod only with Neutron player and Sennheiser CX400 I, and no other mods needed for me.

Where did you see words, that sound stay perfect?
Just better, not perfect.
Result depends on the headphones, the music style, your own perception of sounds.
