Wifi problem!

hello, ive recently try to connect to the internet using my wifi connection...now i established a connection with wifi and when i try to go on ie or skyfire..its trying to connect ota (over the air). as if i had a data connection witch i dont (cause the price is ridicules) so i cant go on the internet on my wing. my rom version is 4.17.405.2 WWE...can anybody help me out please cause i would like to use the wifi on my phone thanks!

The ROM version doesn't mean anything, unforunately. It defaults to whatever "version" the OEM folder that was used to cook the ROM unless the ROM changes it. It doesn't mean much outside of the cook's or manufacturer's internal versions. If this is a cooked ROM, which ROM is it? If it's a default ROM, then the ROM version means something.

[Q] network connection doesn't work..hlp

hi, i have the hd2, and the network that i'm connecting to in israel is "pelephone"
in 'newpan' site the official suplliar of htc, ther is a fix to internet connection to the hd2 on pelephone network... and it working fine..
but when i install android on the phone... the internet connection doesnt work, and when i'm changing the sim card to a difrent network. it does work.
is there a chance to make one for the andriod ver?
i'll upload the cab fix if you think its possible

Hi.i flash typhoon 3.5.3 on my hd2.but when i try to access an ad-hoc network,after write pass's network, rom can not connected to net work.how i can active this....please help..

i want to help but i dont use ad hoc and dont know what it is. you maybe ask your question in the rom's thread.

hi .ad- hoc is an connection computer to computer with wifi without an access point for sharing internet and files without wifi router but this just need network card...can you understand??????

I installed "Barnacle" from market, because WIFI tethering wasn't working.
This program starts an Ad-hoc network on WIFI that shares the phones data connection.

It has been a problem in official releases for long. It was said that CM had already added Ad-hoc support in their latest versions, but I am not sure because I haven't tested them in Typhoon 3.5.3 yet. I think I'll need it too.

I think i discover a new bug in this rom , it`s in wifi i can`t see or connect to connectify network only in this rom , i can see it and connect to it with other devices and wifi adapters !!!!! Can someone confirm this bug?
Wifi is working fine with me (Router wifi work) , but there is different type of wifi(ad-hoc) u need to use connectify program on windows or make a virtual wifi and share the internet to it. then connect from phone to the virtual wifi , and it`s not regional bug it was working with me in Nexushd2 4.1 JB 1.4a

Why nobody reply or even confirm the bug !!! i post 3 threads before and no one reply!! am i blocked or What???

I installed the rom botcat v7 and everything works great
But it is impossible to use the wifi hotspot, my computer does not see the phone
I search the forums but I did not find solution
