after looking around after reading a post of the fragility of the (supposedly) strong sapphire lens, i thought id ask if any of you have had any scratches or blemishes on your camera lens currently, and if so, what do you suspect caused it.

It has a minor super thin one (only visible in a certain angle in the sun),that was there from when i got it.Not sure if it was from the factory or from the one that sold it to me (i asked him to test the phone before shipping it) But its NOT like the ones i see on video, its like the ones that you can see in your screen, when you using it without a screen protecor, the super thin ones.
I carry my phone in the same pocket as my loose diamonds, so that's probably the culprit. Doesn't bother me, though. I take photographs with my camera and I put my lens cover back on before I sling it back over my shoulder.
(seriously, people... It's a phone with a crappy snapper regardless of how many megapixels, gyroscopes, and rooster comb filters it has.)

no offense, but its actually (for a phone) a decent camera, with a decent set of features, that i ALWAYS have with me.
my Gnex has a scratched up lens, and as much as i like to take my SLR to work, church, mountain biking, and shopping, i typically dont. but i do have my phone with me. and if these lenses are getting damaged after a few days of heavy use and a few weeks of light use, its going to be a problem if i expect the phone to last more than a year.
is there any way you can use your nice shooter to take a picture of the current state of your lens, and are you VZW version or no? also do you REALLY carry diamonds, or do you usually have your keys in the same pocket? do you know what might have caused it?

That's my video and here is the original thread on it
Honestly, my phone lens is fine. No visible scratches or blemishes. I just don't use a phone camera for much beyond text/email attachments...like "hey, check out this fine auto in the parking lot", or, "'this' is the brand of olives you need to buy."
As far as my pockets go, my phone gets a dedicated one; no keys, or change...or diamonds.
I don't have a good camera with me at work. Just the pocket cam I keep at my desk. Regardless, here are some pics (not photographs :laugh
I recently bought a Tegra Note and i want some advice from the rest of the community , it would be nice if people can post what cases they have bought as i am unable to find a cover for the tegra note which protects both the back and the front or just the back (gel case).
Is there really no cover or case which has been made for our tablet ( all functions including camera accessible)?
Thanks for the contribution.

There is a flap cover but you will have to shop around as some are made for Asian Tegra Note and others for Western Market. The Asian versions maybe cheap but maybe weaker than official Nvidia designs. Like the flap-cover equated to about $10 for me buying off AliExpress.com when included in a bigger order.
You could find a seller of this tablet that also does the flap cover and ask if they will sell separately.

Hi mate theres a few on fleebay that it fits in but not properly due to the shape and speakers set out. However the offical smart cover has just hit the UK
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/lapto...ga-tegra-note-7-cover-black-21847928-pdt.html
Its a Rip for £20 but they look smart in them. The Note 7 has a magnet on the bottom speaker side at the back
Its worth getting you can buy 3 or 4 cheaper ones over time will fall apart and not look as good or buy the real deal. Mines on order for pick up later today:0)
No discount codes either but 3% back on quidco thats a maga 0.60p yay.
You could wait a few months until the copy ones come out and other people have more to sell
Tegra case isn't great
The official covers seem to have sold out at PC World and Currys. I found out today when mine broke and I tried to order another one. I liked the cover but it was not worth £20. When mine broke, it was the hinge that snapped with little force. But I was able to see that the silver plastic hinge is not strong enough; the plastic is too weak and the metal bar that holds it is only an inch long at each end and very thin. You can also see that the amount of plastic surrounding the bar is minimal, so don't lift the cover in a way that leaves the tablet dangling. Essentially, these are design flaws that mean it doesn't last long. A pity, as the sleep mode and variable viewing angles allowed by the main cover worked well. I haven't yet found a copy. Better materials and a little more thinking in the design department about the official cover and I wouldn't need one.
Hello. The camera lens inside the hole (behind gorilla glass) is not centered.
It is much higher and very noticible.
Also my note 4 box (from Bell) came without a seal.
Please advise.
Anyone ? 46 views and 0 replies.....
Can ANYONE with a Note 4 PLEASE check to see if their front facing camera is centered ?
Mine fine.
Sent from the TermiNOTEr 4!
Happened a lot on the S5 too, , the camera not centered. Is no big deal
Mine isn't perfectly centered, but then I've never had a phone that is other than the iPhone and the HTC One M8. Even the rear camera is slightly off center. At the end of the day though, it isn't a huge deal. It won't effect the quality of the camera, it just looks a little annoying.
Trust me, if you want to see a REALLY bad front facing camera, take a look at the Sony M2.

I guess you are right.
I went to the bell store and they took out 2 new Note 4s. Both had front cameras off center.
It doesnt affect the camera quality I think so whatever.

My problem is with the alignment of the rear camera. It is pushed off to the right in the glass window. Also the adhesive trim sticker that is under the rear camera glass is failing, both around the circumference of the camera hole and the upper and lower edges. I went to Best Buy to look at their display Note 4s and they all had perfect camera placement, both front and rear.
Sure it takes pictures fine, but when you pay this much for a phone you want some level of quality control.
Has any one else taken their back? I am going to try and exchange mine later today.
Mine is off centered also sitting higher than the center point of the screen hole. Doesn't bother me too much but yes this is an indication of imperfect build quality.

My front cam is ever so slightly off center, but only by maybe 1/4 of a milimeter. If your camera works right I wouldn't worry about it.

Yikes, I would definitely exchange that. Some allowances must be made since these things are assembled by human hands, but that is not acceptable at all.
Hi,
I like to capture photos from Phone and Digital Cameras. In earlier moto phones camera lens is given little bit inner from its outer ring or case but in Moto G4 Plus camera lense is straight and there is no specific protector so I got some scratches on its lens due to keys and pens which I put along with phone in my pocket. Is there any solution to protect camera lens from scratches?
Back cover

Back cover brah
Though a good armor or any case is a decent solution but if u ain't considering it then try.
gadgetshieldz.com . Buy a rs 49 skinnova camera skin. N put it.
It's really good......
My camera lens already scratched . Any way to buy new lens online
Cut a piece of plastic that protects the screen after purchase. This is static and sticks to the glass lens
No matter from which lot you got the mobile, it'll get scratches. I observed it on my first week use then I quickly ordered Camera skin from here
and now it's looking fu*ng cool and no more scratches
Hi Guys,
does the lens protector from gadgetshieldz.com cover the camera glass fully or partially?

Finally got it today, received 2 at the price of 1, check the image attached to get an idea on how much camera area will be covered by this skin.
So it covers the glass around but not the lens

Thats right but ultimately there's an additional layer after applying the skin, so now the camera lens does not touch the surface

https://www.gadgetshieldz.com/motorola-moto-g4-plus-skins-decals-wraps.html this is the link, well no coupon code required, I think they send 2 at the price of 1 by default, it'll cost 49 Rs plus 90 Rs delivery charge
Does it really affect the clarity of photo?because i owned an iphone 4s and it was scratched but did not affect it at all.

It doesn't affect the clarity but the scratches may reach a level where the pics taken may not be of good quality
It's better I'd buy along with the back skin rather than spending 90 rupees for delivery. This will give a custom look from others as well protects from scratches and even the shipping will be free :victory:
Edit : Even adding Protect10 promo code will give 10 percent offer too :good:
The performance of both cameras is fantastic. The front camera has a wide-angle lens, which covers a lot of area. This is great for shooting group selfies. The image quality from this camera is very good. Even in somewhat low light -- but not very low light -- it can click selfies that have minimal grain or noise and have largely pleasant colours.
Just dedicate a pocket for the phone use ONLY. And don't lay it with the lens on hard surfaces, not a rocket science.
That lens is sapphire btw.
My phones lens are scretched too much what should i do ? The back camra photos are too much bured because of it
I just received my silver hard case today. It was part of my $150.00 in accessories offer.
It is a really nice case. It is as thin or even a little thinner that the Spigen Hybrid Clear I bought waiting on this.
The stands fell a little flimsy and don't know if they would stand up to repeated use. They work best in landscape. They ridges on the back feel good in the hand and are good for using one hand.
This is my first name brand case and overall i like it. Don't know if i would pay retail for it though.
It is really tight around the edges. I have a Whitestone cover on the way and wonder it will work with this. Any on try it yet?
Can you post a pic?

I've been using this variety of case since the Note 8. Wasn't sure if I was going to like the revised version for the Note 10+. My worries have been unfounded for the most part. The case is protective and not obtrusively bulky. The kickstands work well without getting in the way of everyday handling. It's a nice mid range protection rating case for sure. I would probably step up to something a bit tougher for outdoor use (deep forest exploring, fishing, etc) but like it as an everyday driver. I got mine in black to match my phone.
This is the case:

all ive used are the samsung military/rugged cases since i got on the note train with the note 8. no regrets.
