Netflix APK - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

Anyone have the most recent (or fairly recent) Netflix APK? I'm on Q Beta 3 and didn't realize after doing a factory reset that Netflix didn't restore and the play store is showing it as an incompatible app. Apkmirror is where I'd usually go but the most recent version there is 3-4 months old for some reason.

I got around this by installing the patched boot image. Sure, it breaks CTS (if that wasn't already broken with the beta), but somehow the magisk part makes it to where Netflix is installable
EDIT: dang Gboard is inaccurate as all heck...

You do not pass safety net...
Therefore you do not get Netflix...

Dwonload from app mirror and it will update through the play store safetynet check is only for the initial download

Problems With In App Purchases

So, a few days ago, when I was browsing through my games, I wanted to buy some in game stuff. But then, I clicked on the item I wanted to purchase, it said in app purchases cannot be completed. As my phone was just rooted natively, which got me thinking if rooting is the problem. Then, I got a fresh new copy of developer ROM by MIUI official for Pro. But after I reinstalled everything, the same problem still occurs, so it made me wonder, if the reason in app purchases could not be completed is because of the framework that the app loads. For example, it loads Xiaomi's Framework instead of Google's Framework.
Anyone has any solution for this? Play store works just fine, but in app purchases doesn't.
My current problem
1st picture is the same game as the 3rd picture, but ran on different platform.
1st picture- On Redmi Pro MIUI 8 7.6.10 Weekly Build (Developer), previously on MIUI 8 8.2.10 Stable, both china versions.
3rd picture- On Nox Emulator on PC Android 4.4.1 with Root enabled.
It works in the emulator but not on the device.
Nox is running stock Android by the watyy.
2nd picture is another game, unfortunately couldn't get the app to work on the Emulator.
Much help would be appreciated!

Play Store not checking/showing any updates (running latest 8.0.0 Oreo)

Whenever I click the little circle to refresh the available updates it informs me that there are "No updates available" - this evidently isn't the case because I can go onto Chrome and it informs me that it needs an update. Sure enough, if I search for Chrome on the play store I can update it manually from its page but the updates section in the play store WILL NOT show ANY updates.
This is what I would consider a serious issue because nothing is ever going to get updated now.

I had this problem a long time ago. Try this:
DISABLE the PlayStore instead of clear data.
Reboot.
Enable the Play store app again
You can also force play store update after that by going to Settings and tapping the "Play store version" once

When I tap the play store version it informs me that it is already the latest version.
Thank you luminoso, after a little bit of fiddling around - it is working now!
So how did you solve it?

Unable to watch Prime Video

Hi,
I have a Fire HD 10 (2017) tablet, debloated with "Amazon Fire Toolbox" v4.2, with the Prime Video app still installed. The app runs fine, but I cannot watch any video on it -- every time I start one, it says "video unavailable". I tried restoring all the apps just in case, but the problem still exists. The videos are fine when I use a web browser.
Some more information: In addition to using the Toolbox, I unsuccessfully tried to root the tablet with Kingoroot a few months ago. The tablet does not currently have root access. Hulu works fine.
I wonder if anyone knows what caused this. I am hesitant to contact Customer Service at this time since I am doing all these tweaks, but I hope if there is a simple fix to that. Thank you

No, I am not using the Google Play version -- I "restored", i.e. unhid it using "pm unhide" in the adb, therefore it is supposed to be the stock version of the app, if I understand correctly.

Oh in that case the amazon video app is probably dependent on another package. You'll probably need to unhide more apps until this will start working. Sorry I can't be of more help.

¿Play store certified custom ROM? RR, PIXEL, AOSP EXTEND

I have tried multiple custom roms and none can be installed Netflix I have to go back to stock, therefore, there is one that can be installed netflix or other apps without installing magisk, since I have two phones one is a motorcycle g 4 play and the redmi note 7, and on the moto g 4 play it has pixel experience and if it lets me install netflix
The image is an example as it appears in the custom rom

Ok think there might be a issue with Google apps baked in ROMs this does not work with them but I can flash a rom with no gapps and flash them separately and this method works every time good to find this issue though i did not try this again til I seen your post this rom evaluation x 2.0 I'm using is the first one I tried with them baked in but I was on viper Wich you flash gapps separately and this worked.

Chromecast with Google TV APK on Android TV

So I've been using the APK version December 2020 of CCWGTV (LauncherX) and it work fine, but been trying to install the new versions of it (named Google TV after February update) and after a few minutes I always end up getting this screen and then I can't do absolutely nothing.

Thank you. It worked.
Android TV can install applications from Google Play and also in APK file format, just like mobile phones. The problem is that these files must be uploaded to the Android TV device; It doesn't matter if it's a TV or a player. Chromecast works with almost any TV with an HDMI port. Just plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and start streaming. Check what's going on around your home. Now you can use your voice to control your Chromecast with Google TV through a Google Assistant-enabled speaker, display, or phone.
