I encountered a strange bug, when we set a live wallpaper on stock 050 rom the device theme is set to light i.e. The notification, quick settings, volume sliders etc are set to white color.
It we go to settings - display - device theme and set it to dark it does not change to dark. Reboot, factory reset, wipe cache doesn't work. If anyone knows any workaround or something more on this please reply.

Hi there...
I just got mine and first thing I wanted to change was the background image.
1) disabled TouchFlo3D in settings->home>elements
2) tried to set background image
my problem: The background image appears very bright almost white, so i cant really see it and because it is so white i almost cant read any words...
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
AO
This is one of those things that really bugged me when I first started using Windows Mobile. If you choose your Today screen background by going to "Today" in "Settings", the transparency is set at 50% or 60% by default.
Open the "Pictures & Videos" app. Select the image you want to use. Tap menu, tap "Set as Today Background...". Here you can set the transparency to 0% and tap ok.
Btw, I wonder why there's a transparency setting in the first place. Are there items that can appear beneath the wallpaper?
Yeah I had this problem a long time ago on my MDA do what he said and you should have a nice dark background in no time.
Hi,
I'm currently having an issue trying to change the background wallpaper on htc sense.
My problem is not the home screen wallpaper choosen by user but the fact that it shows the same wallpaper all along the tabs. such as in sms or settings etc etc... and its hard to read an sms or text with the wallpaper behind. I'd like to have it black like most roms have them and only the home screen using the wallpaper.
I'm currently using the latest energy rom (14apr.2010wwe)
Thank-you in advance for all help handed!
That is a feature of Background for all tabs.
You can try setting to default in Settings Tab\Personalize, select Home Wallpaper and when asked if you want to set to default choose yes.
Otherwise you'll just have to select a dark wallpaper.
You should also ask this in the ROM thread as there may be others with similar concerns.
is it normal not being able to change the number and the colour of the dock buttons (i mean the fixed ones at the bottom of the screen), background image and also the colour of the fancy lights moving around the background of the screen by changing the theme with theme chooser?i am wondering because even if i change the theme that has a different background image etc. the ones i mentioned dont change at all.
by the way, i have searched the web but couldnt find an answer.
thanks..
Not sure if anyone has noticed but when using a screensaver that is suppose to have a transparent background (be able to see what is on the desktop) it defaults to the background color chosen for the start screen theme.
An easy example is the bubbles screensaver that comes preloaded, the weird thing is when selected and you preview it, it previews with a transparent background you are able to see what is on your desktop, but when you let it run its time and it pops up on its own it replaces the background with the color theme you chose for your start screen.
any ideas on how to change it to remain transparent? I've tried changing the background color of the start screen to transparent with Decor8 but the screensaver background still is not transparent.
attached are the images of how it should look and how it actually looks.
never noticed it, but i tried and indeed the background isn't transparent. strange
This is a stupid issue, but it's annoying me. I installed a wallpaper changer app and after that I haven't been able to change my wallpaper. I Uninstalled the app but when I go to change the wallpaper it only gives me options to change the lock screen wallpaper. The only way I can change it now is if I change the theme.
Originally I had the multipack wallpaper and I'd like to get that back. Thoughts?
I would try going to settings > apps > press 3 dots to show system apps
and then delete the cache and data of the following apps:
galaxy themes
com.samsung.android.wallpaper.res
com.android.wallpaperbackup
com.android.wallpapercropper
You may not need to delete cache and data from all of them. You can try one by one in the above order (starting from Galaxy themes) to see which does the trick.
Thanks. Are the multi pack backgrounds only for the lock screen? I now notice that I can set a single static wallpaper, but not the multi packs.
Yes. The preinstalled multipacks are only for the lock-screen. I think you must install a separate app from the play store to get rotating wallpapers on the home screen.
