Global Context Menu will not open!!! - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have spent multiple evenings and countless hours scouring the web to find out where Im going wrong, and the only thing I found is I must be the only dummy out there that has this problem. i have tried 1000 times, but i cant get the global context menu to open through talkback. Or any gesture to work other than tap or double tap. This has been infuriating, as i have rooted/frp unlocked many phones over the past couple years......im completely at a loss. Can anyone help please. Sm-g530w. frp locked. If anyone replies with "swipe down and right", i may go nuclear lol. Thank you.

Same here, did you find any solution?

Same as well on my j7

Wierd problem viewing SMS/Emails

I did a few updates on my Exec yesterday, dont think this problem existed prior to this, but dont really want to hard reset to get it back to how it was.
I basically go into any SMS or Email, and it starts 1 page down from the top (with SMS just showing white background) which I then have to scroll up to be able to read the start of it.
Ive done LOTS of searching, and found a few people have had this problem also, but couldn't find a solution.
Anyone got any ideas I can try?
Cheers
Big thanks to 'MikeChannon'
I thought it may be linked to the 'tab' not working either. So I turned off 'smoothscrolling' within PIE and that has cured it.

Update Magazine Unlock Pictures on P9 Lite

Hi guys, i searched the internet for hours but couldn't even find people with the same issue, or very rarely at least with no solution given.
I bought my p9 lite a few weeks ago and so far everything is basically on stock except for the nova launcher.
But still since i bought the phone i only had 15 Images in the magazine unlock folder and have never gotten any update whatsoever on them, although in the magazine unlock settings i subscribed to all of the available topics and enabled automatic updates. When i click on update covers manually it tells me there are no picture or text updates available.
What is going on here? This can't be it now, can it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
#Edit: Sorry, just realised this kind of questions isn't being answered here. Seems like i can't delete this thread so i'll leave it to the admins...
Regards,
Kujo
can you point me to this thread?

[q] zte zmax pro frp bypass?

So I bought a ZTE ZMAX PRO from ebay but the guy didn't mention he still had his google account linked. So when I boot up the phone I get welcomed by the FRP screen. I text the guy and tell him all the problems but he doesn't reply unfortunately. I've tried almost every possible way to bypass the FRP screen but nothing works. I wanted to know what other ways are available so I am able to actually use this phone.

Sorry it took so long to reply, and I'm sure you've already found an answer to this problem, but there is no method currently to bypass FRP. If the seller will not work with you on the issue, I would contact e-Bay and explain the situation. Worst case scenario, you should get a refund from eBay. Hopefully your issue is resolved by this time, or if not, that this helps to resolve it.
How much did you pay for it? I bought mine in metropcs store near me brand new for $122 after tax and everything. This is my fave phone by far. The VR experience in this phone is the awesomest. I would follow the advice of the other poster. I had been a victim of a lying seller too it was on amazon though. I can sell you my samsung on5 if you like? It is in working condition. VERY slightly used. With very slightly used case.
As many have probably already found out there is currently no known proceedure to bypass the FRP on the Zmax Pro If there is then it has not been posted anywhere on the web as of yet...I know this because I have one that is google FRP locked and have read every article and watched every video available and have tried every method out there for every zte phone and nothing works so for the guy or gal out there who does have a method for bypassing the Google FRP I would very much appreciate if you would share it with me I can be reached at [email protected] Please send me any info or links regaurding this issue that will allow me to open this phone ASAP Thanking whoever in advance...
If your phone is 'legit', then the legit way to bypass FRP is either call google, call ZTE and/or call where you bought your phone right? All you need is RECEIPT and they will help you solve your FRP.
I do know the 'pride' you feel though after bypassing FRP yourself. I felt that when I bypass FRP myself on my samsung galaxy ON5. Eventhough I already contacted Samsung and Google and they already gave me an RMA number.
Not worth the headache though. After I bypass FRP on my Samsung, I ditched it and bought Zmaxpro.
It made me not mess with brand new phones though. Guys it really is NOT worth the headache.
At the very least, if you want to mess with these new phones. Research FIRST, if there is an FRP bypass method for it, if not then, why give yourself a headache and an expensive paper weight really?

because you can find em cheaper used.. i bought one frp locked for 40$ but cant bypass it lol its a clean phone and i bought on offerup knowing it was locked..
i also searched before hand and theres 2 methods, one using swyft keyboard the other using dictionary in google keyboard..
however, latest update makes those methods useless..
why post if youre not going to help? telling someone they shouldnt have bought it after the fact is irrelevant..
does anyone know what FTM mode is used for? or if theres any stock firmware images that can be flashed somehow to rollback the security updates?

LOL. I am not telling YOU, but anyone who care to read it. But why would I even bother telling you ANYthing when you did exactly the same in galaxy ON5? Right? you are hopeless case, buying FRP locked phones coz it's cheap then posting on all forums for solution. well then enjoy the headache.
I actually had a deja vu when I read your thread on the other forum. Just sayin..
Guess I am going to the other forum coz zmaxpro has a LOT of love on there. Even have a root thread going on.
I kind of hope they won't be able to root though, For my selfish reason that I really will keep my zmaxpro as long as I can and want it to be remain stock as long as it can for security reasons.
I want to tell on the other forum why they feel the need to root new phones when it already has all the features root gives you. I really am puzzled.

lmao the galaxy on5 was a piece of cake.. it got screwed up though when i flashed firmware from another variant and no one had a stock firmware for the carrier i needed but eventually got it all situated
and you are a troll.. that is what xda and other forums are here for.. to have questions and share knowledge and find solutions.. at least i am contributing to xda.
Why go on an android forum and ask ppl why they want root in a rooting thread? lol if you dont need it or want it then dont comment as you are not helping anyone including yourself.

So far the 'contributions' I see from you is begging for FRP bypass for an 'offer up' phones. you might as well copy that FRP begging sentence of yours coz I am sure you will create another thread again on your next 'offer up' phones in the near future then you can paste your FRP begging sentence. There that's my brilliant contribution for you.
LOL, how am I a troll? I think you are. You are so arrogant and foolish.

i am not a troll for asking questions and brain storming with others who have the same issues and questions to find solutions.
you on the other hand like to talk down to people as if theyre stupid because they have legit questions and might not have the same knowledge as you in certain areas.. why dont you help people?

Come on now, it's actually you that does that. I've seen so many posts of you doing exactly that. Oh thanks for pointing it out. Your contibutor status. I am new here and so far the only ones I see from you is the bolded quote.
I guess we agree to disagree. I unfortunately can't help with your FRP bypass coz I don't think I will put myself in that situation ever again. And that's the difference between you and me. I guess, good luck?
ok folks, i found a way on youtube on how to bypass the google lock but it needs to be done on each reboot until we can find a way to install apks.. its saying its not allowed
FRP bypass. Works.
There's a video on this page that shows you how to do it. The guy doesn't say anything in the video so you just have to pay close attention to everything he does and repeat it exactly. I've had a ZMAX PRO that was frp locked for over 2 months. I followed every step closely and now I'm finally able to use it. This really works. Email me at [email protected] and I'll send you the link. They won't let me post it here because I'm a new user.

Tried it works but a lengthy process..its very simple by skipping few steps.......this is what i did and unlocked like a charm...
1) Press two finger on the screen prompting the language option and start...it should open the accesiblity option..click on exit.
2) then try gestures in the screen with an inverted "U" .....it should open the recent app list...(it needs few attempts)
3) on the top of the screen type stock..it will show stock android ...launch it....
4) go to settings ...go down which needs two fingers to swipe down as the accessibility option are still open it...disable the talk back on the accessibility options.
5) go to settings ..apps..on the corner right up..click on system apps..then drag down ..go to lookup apps which needs to force stop and disable..
6) go to settings again go to security ..enable the unknown source option.
7) go to home screen back by recent app button or home screen (Home screen button some time might not work)and open chrome browser...search for test dpc apk...download and install the latest test dpc apk...
8) once installed open the apk ..select as individual owner .1st option then next..then click on add account this will redirect it to adding account which will prompt the google old ID again..
9) click on recent app option and go to settings again ..go backup & Reset ..erase everything...which should reset the phone..by restarting and the ID is gone...(make sure your battery is above 30% inorder to reset.
10) Once reset the phone is set as new device without an ID.
!!!!!!Bingo its done..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats almost exactly what i did lol.. however in my experience if i did it without turning ADM off the test dpc did not work as intended, it would just reboot the device saying i wasnt admin and Id have to start the process over again

Agreed its your method and i have just worked on your method..without ADM and disabling the Accessibility by going to taptalk option. for me it didnt ask anything as i first disabled the lookup which should stop the Admin request.
All credit goes to you..

[HOWTO] Samsung Galaxy Tab A T580 remove FRP Google Protection

Been struggling for days to bypass frp on t580, android 7.0 finally succeeded an wanted to share with you guys
Searched alot on xda and other sites, here are the steps:
1. flash 6.0.1 a firmware from samfirmware with bootloader u2 for example T580XXU2APL4.
2. on wizard setup, add wifi network to have internet, then in top corner press more->add network. type 2 letter then select them with it pops up a menu and in the right there is a google icon saying "Assist". press than 2 times, the second time is opens google search.
3. type chrome and open chrome. from there go to rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Apps and get com.sika524.android.quickshortcut.apk. install it (it will ask you to allow unknown sources).
4. in chrome go to apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-account-manager/google-account-manager-6-0-1-release/ and install google account manager, overwrite the current one (it gives the option to type google user and password).
5. press back until you go to the google search, type "quick" open Quick Shortcut Maker.
6. in the Activities tab scroll to "Google Account Manager". click on it and choose the one with description "Type Email and Password".
7. tap "Try", then go the menu in the right top corner and select "Browser sign-in" and login with your own Google Account
8. hit "Back" multiple times until you arrive to wifi settings from the wizard. press next and continue with the setup, google account will no longer be asked.
i've attached the 2 apks, just in case.
Have fun

That solution was documented in this thread many months ago. I keep an eye on eBay to buy locked T580s, unlock and resell them for a profit.

No need to delete it at all. Having it posted again helps. I just felt that the person who actually came up with it deserves some credit too. I think their login was Beut.

HOW TO Edit APN: PIE 9.0 (HOTSPOT WORKING!)

Disclaimer: My SM-G955U is a Sprint device and has been UICC SIM unlocked... I don't think that should matter though...
DubWiseNJ said:
Hey guys, maybe this has been talked about before, maybe not, I'm strictly just trying to help people.
So if I enter the ##DATA# dialer menu, edit, msl 000000, and follow the menus to apn settings, I still was unable to edit my APNS...I could select between 2 of them, but if I tapped one to edit it, it was greyed out. However once on accident I realized I had gotten it to be able to be edited.
When you get to the menu that lists your different APNS, apparently TAPPING AS FAR LEFT ON THE SCREEN ON THE APN YOU WANT TO EDIT.. brings up the editable settings... dunno why this is. Maybe it's just my phone? (Sprint galaxy note 9 newest firmware as of May 18th) but yeah, it works like the olden days.
Hopefully this helps some people out, if it's been talked about before I apologize, my intention was only to help people out.
I do have a question while I'm here though, does anyone know why in my Settings, Connections, Mobile Networks, APNS menu do I have around 6 or 7 different APNS, but in the ##DATA# menu I only have 2? And for that matter, I can't even manually add the others. If anyone knows how I can either find a way to select between the other 5 or 6, or get it to where I can manually add them that'd be awesome. Anyways, hopefully I was some kind of a help to someone. Later everyone, I love everything this site is about!

I DID NOT come up with this hidden method for editing the APNs, it was found here in an S9 APN editing thread....
Tried on my S8+ and all works well...
Just add "dun" to the APN type section of your default n.ispn or x.ispn APN and save changes.
I mistakenly took the 9.0 update and searched for many hours how to get the hotspot working again before I stumbled upon this.
Just trying to spread the info. Seems to work on many Galaxy S models.
please sir, how do i get into my ##DATA# dialer menu on Samsung note 8
Worked perfect for me on Sprint, UICC locked, S8+
Very nice find!!!!
