Root for h910 running h91020h - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hello all, I was wondering if someone could help me root this. I have a locked bootloader still, so this should be a bit tricky. I kinda need this phone as it's my only phone with more than 1gb ram atm. So, if possible, I would like bootloader unlock at Max priority rn. I can easily find a rom. Root should then be the only difficulty. The reason I want this so bad is because battery life is a piece of garbage. Also, more customization would be amazing. Or, if possible, if someone could inform me if those 20g patches/unlocks will work, that'd be great!

Pretty sure this is the wrong forum for this.
Either way, this should help you. Its pretty much just going back to a version of nougat where the dirtycow exploit works. Most roms also need a nougat modem to work. Im currently on Lineage 16.0 with GammaKernel 1.2, my phone acted up on stock LG roms. Performance is great, as long as you can handle the camera being worse than stock.

BOE1 ROMs? Haven't touched custom ROMs since my S4, need help getting back into it.

I have a G900V on BOE1 rooted. I'd like to try a custom ROMS that gets rid of all the bloat, and preferably looks vanilla.
Is this possible at all? As far as I can tell there's no way to access a custom bootloader on this phone, but if it is possible, what do you all recommend for a speedy, responsive experience? Maybe there's something I can do without ROMs since I have root?
Xposed still doesn't seem to be supported which is unfortunate. Sorry I'm rambling and asking nooby questions, I just haven't messed around with all this in a while, and would like my phone to be snappy again.
I you're looking for a stock-ish ROM I had very good results with the Optimal ROM. ==> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796260
I changed over from that to the MOAR ROM, I like the customization abilities of that one better. You can find all of your options here ==> http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development

Xposed is supported, you just need the right version for Samsung, which can be downloaded here. Install the v75 snapdragon non request concurrent GC version in flashfire and you'll be good to go.
MOAR rom and no the retail versions bootloader is still locked. There is some hope it might get unlocked http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/bootloader-unlock-coming-soon-t3271883

Hello, new here, question about rooting?

I am a new owner of a G6 H870, and I love everything about it, except for the bloatware and apps I don't want / need. Do I need to root to get rid of these, or is there any alternative, such as making it a pure android OS experience. If so could somebody explain what to do and link a guide on how to do it, as I don't have any prior rooting experience. Thanks in advance
There is no stable custom rom that will give you a stock android look and feel at this moment.
It is possible to get rid of some bloatware though, even without root.
If you do unlock your bootloader and then root, you could try the Fulmics rom. It is a debloated version of the stock rom with extra tweaks added.

stock rom suggestion aosp limits

Hello
I have a v20 on the way, ls997, can't wait. I'm a big fan of the electronic that lg put in this phone. The ois, laser pdaf, quad dac etc and want very much to use these. This means I need stock rom. Is this still correct? All CM/Lineage whatever rom users are missing out on the quad dac?? Slow autofocus?
It looks like the only Sprint variant stock custom Rom is classicrom and that stopped development t at 7.0 android.
Are there other custom roms that will allow use of all the phone's electronics as God intended?
Rooted 7.1 (or 8 when ready) v20 is my goal (daydream!). Maybe need to stay in official updates?
Thank you kindly for your suggestions, I am trying to explore the v20 landscape and f learn what's possible. Thanks again for your help!

Looking for OnePlus One ROM for parents. Help Appreciated!

I have upgraded to OnePlus 6 for a while now and have finally retired my OPO. My OPO is one of the early builds as it still has cyanogen logo on back. I bought this in Jan/Feb 2015 and have been using it since then. I haven't had any issues with phone, haven't replaced anything (although I am planning to replace the battery before handing it over to my parents), the phone is unrooted and running the last OTA update that was provided.
Based on the info above, do u guys have any good ROMs to suggest for my parents. They aren't too tech savy so probably some ROM that provides OTA updates and doesn't crash would be the best. Also, higher the android version, the better it is(if working stable).
I am comfortable enough unlocking bootloader, installing custom recovery, rooting, etc but I just want to give something to my parent's thats stable, better than stock, and keeps the phone from getting outdated.
Thanks for your answers!

Is overclocking possible on rooted stock??

So now that we know Oreo 8.0 is the last official version for our X compact, is there any way to overclock the cpu?
I mean it is already fast enough for anything but still I would like the ability to do that, even underclock it a little.
can we make a custom kernel for this device? or is there a way to edit the stock kernel with new clocks?
well i dont have much information about these thing, i only know that we need a custom kernel for overclocking and stuff.
Im on unlocked and rooted stock .118 oreo.
Also, is there a way to upgrade adreno/vulkan drivers on this device? they are outdated and recent drivers have been reported to be much better in other devices but why not sd650?? LINK HERE
