Hi,
Just wondering if the Nexus 6p is in the Google ban? My wife is still using the Nexus 6p and is happy with it.
Thanks

Why wouldn't it be? Its made by the garbage company huawei isn't it?
Also do you even know what the situation is with it? Or did you guys read some hot take on Facebook about it?
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-huawei-tech-alphabet-exclusive-idUSKCN1SP0NB
People that already have the device will still receive play store updates for now.
https://www.xda-developers.com/google-revoke-huawei-android-ban-blacklist/
Existing devices will have access to play store and app updates.

Edit: first part was pretty stupid of me so editing. With this device being a google device, they wouldn't be less they have the hardware do it which is doubtful.
But for people using China phones that let them control the software, I promise they are.
So we can use nexus 6p with gapps indefinitely?

Just wondering if I bought a new Nexus 7 and signed in with the Google account I have done on my current one, will I got more credit? Or should I just use my secondary Google account?
Thanks

If you use the same gmail account, no.
If you use a different one, then yeah

Yep. Credit is 1 per gmail account
So, on a related note, here's what I'm trying to figure out... Let's say you bought a Nexus 7 from Google Play, received and used some of the credit, and then return the tablet. Presumably, the credit is rescinded. But, suppose you've subsequently purchased a replacement Nexus 7. Is the credit reissued?
I'm in precisely this situation, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Google does. I have a feeling I'll end up losing the credit...
The credit is not rescinded as far as I know. I think I remember reading about this somewhere else.

Since nexus S is not a very known phone I am still always asked by people what phone is this, I actually like this thing.
Anyways it's kinda interesting to answer that. I used to say it's a google nexus S, then I used to say that it's a samsung google nexus S and now I simply say samsung nexus S. People are like oh it's a galaxy? I am like well you can say that.
Samsung is the cool **** these days.
I say it's a nexus

yeah...nexus is the king, no matter what. I throw nexus around like it makes me look cool lol
I just say Nexus S. I never say the phone's brand name, just the model number. It's a habit.
People still ask me what kind of phone I have. I simply tell them its the Google Nexus S and its one of android's flagship devices. Then I proceed to explain to them what that means lol

Android. If they ask what computer? Linux. Simple as that.
# My dog is my avatar.
I usually say nexus s 4g, I've only found a handful of ppl that have even heard of it... most ppl, including the morons at our local Sprint store, think I mean a galaxy nexus...

I don't actually know anyone else who owns one!

If they have to ask what phone it is I just say it's a Samsung. Anybody who would know what a nexus is would recognize it on sight.

The conversation usually goes like this:
Friend: What's your phone?
Me: Oh it's a nexus!
Friend: Ah...a Samsung?
Me: Well, yeah...but it's a pure Google/Android device...
Friend: So....it's a galaxy?
Me: Oh no! It's pure Google. Samsung modifies their version of Android.
Friend: Oh OK....(changes topic at this point since he actually has no idea what the hell I'm blabbering about and/or he uses an iPhone anyway).
I say "nexus s" and they say "oh" and change the topic lol

People who care know that Nexus is Google's branding, people who don't won't care if it's a Samsung or a Google or anything. I usually say I have a Nexus S (adding Sprint if they asked) if they then give me a blank stare I say "Samsung and Google partnered to make a pure Android phone."

This is pretty much on par with almost every phone conversation I've ever had. Now these are mostly avoided by coworkers and family because they don't want to hear me blabber on about "pure Google" and ROMs.

I've given up saying Nexus pretty much, at least with the people I go to school with. I tell them it's an Android, and if they want to know more then I tell them it's a Nexus S.

Hello all !
What do you think about the stock of Nexus 4 ?
To my mind it's a big fault of Google and they have lost a lot of sales.

I think he means how many of the phones they had in stock, like they delayed shipping etc.
70,000 initial if I'm not mistaken. Currently sales must be upward of 500,000.
Google has neither disclosed any sales info nor talking anything about the phone itself. On the other hand LG seems to act like an a$$hole. If there is some one to blame then it would be LG.

I've never really thought about or noticed this issue.
I wonder if any other xda members have experienced delays in the availability for this device?

I'm on the RC5 and getting this error.
Trying to disable keyboard and dictionary provider apps doesn't work either. I tried TB to just remove them but no go. My next step is trying to pull the apks from the /system/app folder.
Has anyone been able to install the new Google aosp keyboard from the Google play store while running CM10?
What's the difference from the one on the play store to the one already on the device?

Its mainly for people with non-Nexus devices. Although future updates from Play Store will be more handy as its updated more.

Multi language support. CM can't sign add-on dictionaries and therefore no aosp based ROMs can automatically download them from within the app settings.
That's my main reason to use it.

Nexus 5 and 6 became available at t-mobile between Nov. 14-19. So I'm assuming 6p will become available in the next week or so.. Still not sure if I want this device or not considering new devices will be equipped with the new SD820 or exynos 8890..

It's been said before that they wouldn't be sold in stores, take that for what ever you think. However people are still waiting on their pre orders so I highly doubt it.

Did some more research and what you said is true. I just wish I can finance their phone without having to join project fi since I'm already with T-Mobile... And I know I can finance it through huawei but there's an interest, I might have to do more research.
Why don't you call t-mobile yourself and find out?

I called T-Mobile and I was told that they are not carrying Nexus 6p or Nexus 5x anytime soon and I can purchase it from Google. I even left a comment on T-Mobile official YouTube and was told same story.
By the time 820 devices are out they'll be an 830 or 850 ..... You'll never have the newest

Speed of innovation is faster than Evolution of devices these days. Chip manufacturers are always a step ahead of the Device Manufacturers, its like a Cat & Mouse race.

you could always get a Moto XPE. they have their own financing, or use a but it later account.
