Samsung OneUi for Redmi Note 7 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

I recently replaced my Galaxy S7 with a redmi note 7, the Smartphone is excellent but Miui is really picking up against Samsung OneUi. I saw that the Redmi note 5 Pro received a port from OneUi. Can we do the same thing knowing that the Galaxy A9 2018 uses a Snapdragon 660.

That would be awesome

Yes, it's going to be great. Let's just hope someone does.
I will try to contact the developer of OneUi on the Redmi note 5 to see if he can do anything.

For me the most important thing to port is Multirom .. it's gonna be huge

@AL_IRAQI could you please take a look at our Redmi note 7 and port Samsung OneUi software ?

Oneplus 2 or Redmi Note 3?

My girlfriend is looking into purchasing a new phone. Should she get the 1+2 or Redmi Note 3?
Also forgot to ask why the oneplus 2 or Redmi note 3
Oneplus 2
Never settle
OnePlus Two.
why? because it's better than the other phone.
my wife has Redmi Note 3 with gigs of ram and i can tell u that is better and snappier that my oneplus 2 except the camera miui is better optimize
I was actually researching both phones as well, but I hear that the Redmi wont be updated to MM. It sounds like it comes as is and I dont care how cheap a phone is, Support is Priceless!!! I am worried sbout the Non-Spec charger and whether Oneplus 2 will get FP scanner support for Aosp roms.
Oneplus 2 or Redmi Note 3??? The question is meaningless. Not the same category.

Can we expect ONE UI for Zenfone Max Pro M1?

Hey guys! Just a lil query, can we expect One UI for the Zenfone Max Pro M1? Redmi Note 5 pro and OnePlus 6 has received a port, not the most stable port but nonetheless. So can we expect one ui for our phone too? After using One UI on the S9+ and S8+ , I'm kinda liking it ?

No offense but the port will never be as fluid as using it in a Samsung Device (I think you already know this) so it's best to buy an old Samsung device. Coming to your question, yes we will get the port atleast as GSI in the coming days. I'm no developer but I'm sure we'll get one.

Is there Samsung ONE UI ROM for Redmi Note 7?

Anyone have an idea about Samsung ONE UI Port for Redmi Note 7?
I'm waiting for someone to prepare it.

Ubuntu Touch for Redmi Note 6 Pro Tulip

Is there any way to install Ubuntu Touch on Redmi Note 6 Pro? I saw they made a port for the Redmi Note 7
Never heard of, but glad if someone port it to. I can test it and help a little on the coding.

Which Device should I Upgrade to?

I have used the Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon (mido) for more than 3 years now. And I have to say that the journey has been amazing. The legendary device always amazes me by its outstanding developer front. In this journey, i have found many rock-stable Custom roms, god-level gcams (that click pictures even now that are much better than the redmi note 8 pro in some cases), outstanding Kernels, etc.
But now I am thinking of buying a new device. And due to mido, my expectations with the new device regarding development are pretty high.
Please suggest me what device I should go with, which has legendary development like our beloved note 4.
I heard that Poco F1 is legendary too. Please give your opinions.
And though I know that Pixel and OnePlus devices are legendary in development, I am not that rich to buy these phones (not even second hand, lol ). My preferred brand is xiaomi (redmi or poco).
Thanks.

Redmi Note phones have different names and different hardware depending on where you live.
Redmi Note 9 Pro in India is the same phone as Redmi Note 9 in Europe. Xiaomi makes it really difficult for customers sometimes.
About your list, never buy a phone with Mediatek / Helio chipset. These phones never receive any support from devs. Just take a look how many Roms we have for Mido (Redmi Note 4 with Qualcomm Snapdragon) and how little for Nikel (Redmi Note 4 with Mediatek).
Redmi Note 9 Pro is the newest and has already customs ROMs available, so I personally would go for that one. The only downside of the phone could be that the screen is very very big.
Redmi Note 8 or 7 aren't that much cheaper but have older hardware.
Poco F1 is also rather old already and not a good deal anymore.
Or wait a few weeks for Mi A4. It runs pure Android One which means it will receive at least 3 years of security updates and 2 years of Android updates (Android 11 and 12 for sure). So there is no need for custom ROMs.
Thanks a lot.
