Hi everyone,
First, i'd like to thank every developer in our forums who are contributing in making this phone greater by their efforts !
can one of our respected devs port it to our device ? it's a great phone with great developers in our community (compared to every other phone released in 2019) who i really hope they can port it to us, it will be a very huge thing to add, as we will be able to enjoy both MIUI AND Lineage at the same time

I think MultiROM can not work with Android 10 ROMs as patching the Boot image is hard in android 10.Also, this project was discontinued long back and devs showed no interest in it.
MultiROM has been dead for years and there is no chance it will work on a 2020 android device.
Our best bet is DualBootPatcher, I've ported the redmi note 7 seven to the project using the general guide but the patched ROM zips still fail to install, I think there is something at the core need to be changed.
Regards
Still up?
Is the solution about dualbootpatcher works now? I follow the link but it's also dead like MultiRom. Hope someone can get work around in this I hope to dualboot note 7 with Ubuntu Touch.

LG gt540 is a old device...
Inviato dal mio GT540 con Tapatalk 2
Besides the age of this device and the fact that there are almost no active developers (I mean real developers, not people who port roms with the help of miroslav_mm's sources and kernels), you must also realise that the ubuntu talked about in the article is not the ubuntu that you're used to from your pc. This is a special version for phones, that maybe will be able to run native linux apps. However, not even a first testing version has been released yet.
The probability of this ubuntu project dying a silent death is much bigger than the changes of it ever coming to the gt540.
Nope, GT540 is too weak.
Yeah it'll be too weak for the desktop version and too weak even for the coming Ubuntu mobile. Go check out Ubuntu websitr , minimum 1GB ram 1GHz cortex A9
Noo
we need a powerfull phone than GT540 for ubuntu
Yeah... see this

Will be working on it with lj50036 this weekend.
Nice to have Omni based rom on our shield
@sbdags
Great initiative.
Will of course flash and test it when you make it available.
Hope you get the stylus to work!
It's a rough build. Got a lot to fix first.
Compiled just straight Omni a few weeks ago. Same thing happened for me. Very buggy.

Yeah seems to be based off 5.0.1 sources and wifi doesn't work...
Hope you can get it fixed.
By the way I have a Lte Europe version.
OK this is just the WiFi version for now:
First Beta of Zombi-pop is up
http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/orig-development/rom-t3194966
This is very exiting! I have the EU LTE version and look forward to taking Z for a spin. It's kept my Asus TF700T running well. Thanks for brining this to the Shield Tablet.
I want is android 6 .
Beta 2 is up!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tablet/orig-development/rom-t3194966
20150912 ZOMBi-POP 5.1.1 Beta 2 changes
- Re-based from omni-5.1.1-20150909-zombi_wx_na_wf-KANG maintained by lj50036, hardslog, sbdags
- Updated vendor blobs to rel-st8-l-r6-partner
- New Kernel - Updated kernel source to rel-st8-l-r6-shieldtablet
- Updated ESFileExplorer to version 4.0.2.1
Maybe I put it in the wrong dev forum as hardly anyone seems to be trying it.
The rom flies for me! lj50036 and will be testing F2FS later which should give even more speed.
Thank you for the great work, but yes, you're right, this is the wrong forum. You should have posted this in the original android development forum.

Beamed from my Nexus 5
That's disappointing. Although shouldn't CM13 be released independently to zui?

yes, i too saw that, but the same timeline release for the both newly launched (Zuk Z1) and 2014 released (one plus one)..?
whats disappointing there? You can always run CM13 before that, but it really takes time to get a more or less stable COS marshmallow out and a few months of development work is not much, as testing and debugging takes up a ****ton of time for them... The only important thing is that they keep Lollipop up2date too, including major bug and security fixes while they work on marshmallow. And so far they have done that, libstagefright etc was always fast patched by CM and COS team.
Imho i don´t get why always everyone needs the latest buggy android version on their device, all i want is a STABLE os as i need my phone for working daily!
Reading the interview of Steve Kondik the work to be done to move CM from 5.1 to 6 will much smaller that what was from 4.4 to 5.
So hopefully we'll see it much quicker......
lets hope for that

If you have no experience in this regard, it's better to stay clear of project Spaget, as you will most definitely brick the device.
If you flash Project Spaget, you just only install GSI Rom, One UI for J7 Pro not supported Project Treble so if you flash Project Spaget and using One UI, you will be brick phone
