I've recently changed from a redmi note 4 to a note 7.
I use an app (prepladder) to watch some video lectures. My problem is that the frame rate of the videos becomes extremely low.. With even the audio getting a little erratic when I try to play videos faster than 1.5x.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I didn't have a my problems on my old note 4. I've tired playing the videos at lower resolutions but that hasn't helped.

There are a lot of users reporting micro lags and stutters. Can anyone tell me what can be termed as micro lag and stutter?
Basically those are sudden drops in frame rate while animating. I've put a video of side-by-side comparison of Moto X Play to Nexus 7, although I am not able to post links. You can open following video id on youtube: XR7Y6iBwm5o These frame drops are visible clearly there (watch in 50fps)
Hey guys...I just got this phone today because of the 240fps video capture, however when I gogo to play videos I can't do a frame by frame playback. I've taken slo-mo videos with an iPhone and the playback is awesome where I can scroll with my finger the exact speed forwards or backwards frame by frame.
Is there any kind of slo-mo player similar to the iPhone's for the nexus 6p? Even the one the Samsung note 5 was pretty good...but this photos player or anything that I've used in the play store sucks. the best would be if someone could get the iPhone's picture preview app to this phone.
Been looking everywhere online and there just isn't anything it there lol...why doesn't anyone make something like this? Is it that hard?
Seriously though even the one on the Samsung would be ok but this playback on Google photos suck
Ok so if anyones interested in using the slow mo for sports I finally found the best app for it to playback slowly frame by frame. The app is called coach's eye...ive now used it a few times and I have no idea why its only rated as 3.9 stars...to me its so nice and would rate it 5 stars.
The app is free if you just want to record and playback, but if you wanna start drawing lines and other options I think you have to pay like $15 or something. Either way the app is awesome and anyone that wants to use it for sports needs this app especially for golf =).
Hi, there is something wierd i am experiencing with my note 4. The quality of the video pre n post going into slow motion is very poor. Its very framy like its running in 10-15 fps before the slow motion starts n after the slow motion ends n the video starts to play at normal speed. I also took a slowmo video on my note 4 n transfered it to galaxy s6 n after the rendering the video was smooth.
I also saw a couple of slowmo video taken from note 4 posted on youtube n they too were framy.
Please help
Hi all,
I have been tinkering with filming on my S7 edge recently and discovered some discrepancies regarding the S7 edge video recording fps.
I shot 3 FHD (standard/30fps) video and 3 FHD (60fps) and played back on my macbook pro via Quicktime.
I noticed that for the 3 FHD (standard/30fps) videos, the frame rates displayed on Quicktime movie inspector are 23.96fps, 23.97fps and 24fps instead of 30fps.
Then i checked the 3 FHD (60fps) videos. The frame rates displayed on Quicktime movie inspector are 59.96fps, 59.97fps and 60.07fps instead of 60fps.
I compared the results to the videos shot at 24fps using my Canon 70D. 3 videos @ 24fps consistently showed frame rate of 23.98fps on Quicktime movie inspector.
So i am wondering, why does the video recording fps of S7 vary by so much? Is it software or hardware issue?
Thank you all.
Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party, but I've been noticing very similar results when filming with my Galaxy S7. Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
Tried a few ultra4k recordings today and I'm not impressed at all. Playing back on my (4k monitor working perfectly with other 4k videos) PC and the videos flicker very slightly every 1 second !?. The detail isn't impressive either, curved blades of grass have jaggies on them ! (looks like too much compression). I record to an external 200gb class 10 SD card.
Thoughts ??
Update
Noticed several posts along the same lines so I'm not seeing things YET if played back on the mobile itself using the inbuilt player or VLC there seems to be no issue ??. I can zoom in a little with the inbuilt player too and don't notice jaggies on grass or weird effects in flowing water.
Samsung must have done something odd with the video to upset a pc. Any one with experience ?.
