Hello,
I would like some help regarding unlocking a Sprint Galaxy S8. Sprint will not unlock the phone for me so I have to do it through a third party. I've been reading a couple forums but I am a little bit confused. When I go to third party websites they will send me an unlock code, I have to insert the other sim and then I have to enter the code. But I've also read some threads about an unlocking app or that you have to install something, I'm not sure. I was hoping someone could clarify this for me and help me out.
Thanks in advance.
you would have to use a third party website, I recently unlocked my sprint galaxy s8 with the octopus box since I ordered one. just be careful with which site you are going to use to get the unlocking service.

I know its a lame question but its bugging me.
Im thinking of buying a couple of Vibrants for my wife and myself to use on Brazil. They are locked to T-Mobile (are they?) but is there any way to unlock it by software?
I know that kernel, drivers etc where released by Samsung (opensource.samsung.com) and we can already root it...will a unlock method be too difficult?
Thanks in advance
Just call T-Mobile and ask for the unlock code. I did and they email it to me the next day... just say you going out of the country and you going to use their sum card... That’s it
calling anyone who can help out a windows mobile returnee. i just got a t-mobile wing from my cousin from the US as a gift but it's still sim locked to t-mobile. this is my 2nd windows mobile phone after my o2 XDA IIs got stolen way back 3yrs ago. i love these kinds of phones coz i can do lots of stuff like install apps. but of course, i want to use the phone on my home network also. so, can i ask anybody on the site, who has free time, to call t-mobile and help me out to get an unlock code? i am from the philippines and i have no other way of calling t-mobile to get an unlock code. i tried my cousins but apparently, they're too busy to do such things at the moment. anyway, i just wanted to post this hoping somebody here, who is a t-mobile subscriber, would be kind enough to call t-mobile up for me. thanks to whoever wants to help. my t-mo wing's IMEI is 35286201606649701. my email address, by the way, is [email protected]. thanks guys!
no one wants to help...tsk tsk...
please help....
how long should the unlock code be? i got a 15-digit code? is that correct? and how do i type it in? the unlock code dialog box let's me type only 8 digits? anyone care to help?
HTC-P4351 from Unicel
I have an old HTC P-4351 (assume it's the same as the T-Mobile 4350 "Wing") that I bought from a local carrier (Unicel) that went out of business a year and a half ago. I replaced it with an AT&T Tilt2 which I'm very happy with and have found a ton of neat tricks for here. Thanks for that.
I'd like to put the 4351 on eBay but it's locked, the company is out of business and can't provide an unlock code. I attempted to get one from HTC but they replied that only the carrier could provide that information. From what I see on eBay, the thing could fetch about $80 if it wasn't a locked brick sitting in my drawer.
IMEI: 35286201072742502
Instructions on how to unlock would be greatly appreciated.
I just had a nice, long, "LiveChat" with AT&T, who purchased the original carrier (Unicell) the phone was sold by. They seemed eager to help, knew exactly what I was asking for and why, asked all the right questions including the IMEI... and then told me no unlock code was available in their system after looking it up.
Hello,
I have read the sprint samsung unlock thread DIY and also some other threads for flashing ROMs etc
Instead of trying to do this myself is it possible to unlock a phone that I recently purchased off CL by calling a service/purchasing a code from a website?
Is there a certain service that is more reputable than others?
I would normally unlock a device myself but this one seems more difficult than normal, with people as recent as today "softbricking" their phones.
Thanks,
aga080
No, so do it yourself or buy an already locked phone.

It depends on which model (L720 or L720T) and where you are located. There is not "code" unlock on these, but a competent mobile phone tech in your area should be able to do it for about the market rate to do a traditional Samsung late model smartphone "code" unlock (30-45 bucks).
Hello, I am about to purchase a used sprint s8. Several questions:
1. I am planning to check the esn against swappa's checker. Should I do anything else to verify that it isn't stolen/locked?
2. Do I need to go through an unlock code to use sprint's s8 in att network?
3. If I do need an unlock code, etc- It seems unlike apple, samsung's s8 unlock code is quite cheap, around 15 to 30 dollars on ebay and on various threads here. What do you think is the best unlock one that worked for you?
Any other advice will be helpful! Thank you.
A colleague of mine is trying to get this phone unlocked but has been unable to obtain an unlocking code. (Edit, I believe it's branded by Verizon?)
He has tried several vendors on ebay but they have all said they don't have the unlock code for his IMEI in their database yet. Some of them added that eventually they will get the unlock code, it just takes time.
Is there anything else that can be done?
Thanks!
This has been an issue with the verizon variant of moto e4 and this topic has been discussed in another thread. Also you should be aware that the bootloader on the verizon variant is not unlockable as is in the case with other recent verizon models so it's not possible to root or install a custom rom.

No.You Cant unlock it in this moment. You need to wait like one or two months. When the database update his servers, then you can ask for your code.
Hi Gents,
Thank you for the info. I will let me colleague know.
I stayed persistent ... Calling differant Verizon numbers, live chatting on line, basically bugging verizon wireless for almost 3 whole weeks... They gave me my unlock code about a week ago. even tho i really qualified for it about 3 weeks ago... Always , always always make sure u speak withe a live agent and accuse them of lying 2 the hardworking Americans... I took it there more than once with Verizon ,but it took all that before they gave it 2 me... Im not special so u can do it 2.
