Anybody know how to enable Qualcomm aptX to work with Bluetooth headphones?
snapdragon 430 does not support aptx codex, even you have aptx library.
maximum codec for bluetooth is aac codec, you need enable this in bluetooth device setting > HD Audio.

* aptX HD
*aptX
*SBC
By default, SBC is select, but do you have try others ? what's the best ?
Sometime, i loose the bluetooth connection in my car and i must to off/on the connection.
Thank you.

tl;dr set it to aptX HD and hope it falls back gracefully when not supported. No idea why it wasn't set as default...
I don't think the Bluetooth connection issue with your car has anything to do with the codec. Mine has trouble connecting every time regardless of what is picked. It is really frustrating, so hopefully it'll improve with a future update...
Depends on which codec your headphones supports of headphones supports aptxx

If your device supports Aptx (like some High-Rez Audio headseats), go for it .
If not select SBC
Aptx HD in only for Bluetooth 5.0 devices (actually no headsets or car audio system are available on the market with this feature)

Why not just select aptX[ HD] and let the devices negotiate down if it's unsupported?
Hmm my Sony XB650BT seems to connect using aptx hd. It doesn't appear to step down, but maybe it's playing aptx but still on aptx hd? The headset lists that it is aptx.

Unfortunately no because most of the time the AD2P protocol will choose SBC as the default codec if the codec you chose (aptx or aptx hd) is not compatible/available

As far as I know this is true and matches my experiences bouncing between aptX in my car and my non aptx Bose qc 25..

Does s7 edge with Nougat have aptx Bluetooth codec? If so then how do I activate it?
Does s7 edge exynos with nougat have aac Bluetooth codec?
If so then how do I activate it?
If my headphones support the older aptx codec then will they support aptx hd as well?
I'm hoping that s7 edge exynos isn't limited to sbc only.
S7 Edge supports aptX, not aptX HD. Probably not AAC. I don't think you manually activate anything, the best codec should be chosen automatically.
You might want to look into UHQA, which is supported by a few Bluetooth headphones like the Samsung Level On Pro and Level U Pro. This you can manually enable or disable, for wired headphones too!
in Oreo you can select your codec in Developer Options.
i try to selected LDAC in bluetooth audio codec>developer options but can't select it. can select only aptx, aptx hd or SBC. anyone can use it?
my headphone is sony wi-h700, support both aptx hd and LDAC.
Does anybody know all the bluetooth audio codecs this phone supports?
Hi everyone! I just bought the Sony 1000XM4 headphones. The headphones support SBC, AAC and LDAC. However, when I connect to my device (Max Pro M2), I can only use SBC. even though in the bluetooth settings for the headphones, the option HD Audio: AAC (No LDAC) is enabled.
I went to the developer options to set the Bluetooth codec to LDAC (Qualcomm aptX Adaptive Audio), but the setting does not stick.
I don't have the 'Connect to two devices simultaneously' option enabled and the priority is on Sound Quality instead of Connection Quality.
I have tried resetting the WiFi and bluetooth settings but still can't get it to work.
I tried connecting the headphones to the Sony XZs and it instantly gave the option to use LDAC and used it. This makes me wonder if this phone even supports LDAC, even though on the internet it says that it does. I can't even use AAC, I am stuck on SBC.
Does anyone have any idea? Please?

I'm on Havoc 3.11, I don't know about stock ROM.
Yeah, couldn't get it to work on the stock ROM. Now, I'm on Resurrection Remix and it works!
