I have seen some posts about Android Q GSI installing on max pro m1..
I have searched for the methods to install the rom for max pro m1, and I ended up with nothing.
So please someone give me an idea or method on how to install the Android Q GSI on max pro m2.
I'm eagerly waiting to install the rom on my phone........... Thanks in advance. ?

Due to poor vendor from ASUS, all GSI methods are giving bootloop problem when trying to flash Q GSI
we'll have to wait. asus has a good hardware, but it's very poor at giving support on software.
I have found a method by searching google. In this site they clearly mentioned max pro m2 is working. Anyone pls test this method and give a suggestion.

I beleive the Zenphone Max M1 & Zenphone Max M1 Pro are GSI Certified/Project Treble
Reading the requirements for GSI/Project Treble, I believe both the Max M1 & Max M1 Pro should qualify. They can be bootloader unlocked, have shipped with Android 8.0/8.1, and should be Google Play certified. If that's the case, then installing a new ROM should be doable. I no longer have the device but would be tempted to get another one should this prove to be true.
Anyone willing to try?

Well GSIs are quite a success on zenfone Max m1 on oreo 8.0 vndk 26 vendor. We have booted phhusson's AOSP based GSIs with no bugs on AOSP-9.0 and AOSP-10.0 . After pie beta GSIs still works but in AOSP-10.0 camera not working is a bug which can be resolved for a particular device.

TWRP is available for this device you can just check the other threads to find links. In case of ROMs they are still under testing on custom vendor. In case of roms with stock vendor they are quite stable
The phone has sold so many units in india amd worldwide. I have been using pixel experience rom on every phone i ever had. Currently on Angler(nexus 6p)pie based and redmi note 4 and found it to be best for any phone. When can we expect the same for pie based pixel experience now that we have pie beta zip with us.
As of now you can try GSI rom and enjoy your favourite rom. If needed use volte fix on custom rom

You could try this... Its a semi GSI ROM... I have NOT tried this on our device... Do at our own risk...

GSI or Official costum rom for Max Pro M2?
Hello,
I've been running Bootleggers on a Moto G4 Plus, Athene and it's doing alright.
I got a Zenfone Max on me now and would like to root and install a ROM. The stock rom is bloated with apps and makes it laggy.
I looked up in the forum and most of them I looked at ended with the comment that the OP had stopped development for this device.
Can I please know what ROM still works well as a daily driver that is based on Pie for the Zenfone Max?
And if it's possible to install Magisk as my Manager?
