I9507 ROMs - Samsung Galaxy S4 VE Questions & Answers

I can't find anything on the on the I9507 apart from a Samsung Support page and some users and it has no GSM Arena entry at all.
It seems hardware wise the only major difference is 4G+.

[Q] i9500 LTE support?

I am pretty sure there were other topics like that, but I've also done my research and yet something still troubles me. From what I understand this is what the two version of S4 breaks down to...But I could be wrong.
I9500:
Exynos 5, Octa-core (Technically 4+4cores)
Supposedly no LTE support
Available in few countries
Supposedly the "international" version?
Technically the faster one
I9505:
Snapdragon, Quad core.
Advertised as LTE version.
Available is more countries
More importantly, available in North America. (I live in Canada)
However, from time to time as I am researching this; Some people will say that the Exynos chip is also LTE compatible, although I'm pretty sure I've read otherwise as well. So which is it?
Also, I'm by no means an expert in wireless technology, so can someone kindly break it down to me that what will I be missing out if I were to get the i9500 instead of the i9505? Currently I have the i9500 on pre-order, but it should be painless for me to cancel it as well. However, if I were to wait for the i9505, I'm not sure when carriers over here will get it, and it'll be locked. (That said, I do know it is easy to unlock). I also travel to HongKong and Japan on occasion, so I would need my phone to work in those two places as well.
I would be very appreciative if someone could answer my questions and concerns, thank you.
Like you said 9500 will feature exynos octa, it doesn't have lte.

[Q] i9505 Hardware Differences

Does anyone know what the differences between the GSM i9505s are?
I've been trying to figure out if I should get a 'Nexus' S4 when it comes out, or get the Tmo varient now, but there's speculation that they are the same phones with different software.
I've also found an thread about getting AWS on AT&T phones and a thread saying that Intl i9505 ROMs will work on Tmo phones.
So I guess I'm confused... it seems like all the differences between the various i9505 phones are software related and not hardware. Has anyone cracked some of these guys open to find out?

[Q] Using i9505 on Bell Canada

Hi all.
I originally purchased my Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 in the UK where I was using it on LTE with absolutely no problems.
One thing led to another and I'm now living in Canada, and using my i9505 on the Bell/Virgin network. The phone connects to the 3G network just fine, but does not connect to Bells LTE network here.
Having done some research, I'm led to believe that this is due to the fact that the i9505 does not support the 1700MHz network for LTE, although the similar i337 model does.
I've read a number of topics that state it may/may not be possible to unlock this banding on the i9505, but have not been able to find any conclusive answer on whether it's possible, and if so, how to actually do this.
Any help or suggestions anyone might have would be incredibly appreciated, as I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering this.
Thanks in advance!

Is my Sprint S4 L720T a i9500, i9505, i9505G or i9506?

Recently bought a Sprint SPH-L720T and need to buy some accessories but most sites list compatible models as i9500, i9505, i9505G or i9506?

None of the above, its an SPH-L720 Sprint S4 TriBand CDMA. The i95xx device are GSM.International/ATT/T-Mobile,ect. accessories should work across the board.

If by accessories you mean things like a case I think all S4s (not S4Mini) are the same dimensions. Google for confirmation
SPH-L720T designates the carrier and model of your phone - it's a Sprint/subsidiary Samsung Galaxy S 4, same as an SPH-L720, but is Triband capable - hence the T at the end.
GT-i95xx refers to the chipset. The i9505 uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 chipset, whereas the i9500 uses Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa chipset. Either chipset (and a few others) can be in any model of the Galaxy S 4. The i9506 refers to the Snapdragon 800 chipset. You can find out which specific chipset and model of the GS4 you have by digging into your phone info - most of your external accessories won't give two ****s about what kind of chipset you have, though.
Primary source for this information is here, though being a new user I can't post links. Copy/paste the following to your browser address bar, then change & to . for it to work: www&gsmarena&com/samsung_galaxy_s4_i9500_vs_i9505-review-930.php
You'd think that on a site like XDA this kind of simple knowledge would be commonplace, but as can be seen people like pgriffinsc like to contribute to conversations without knowing wtf they're talking about. This is how bad/wrong/misleading information gets propagated... do your part to fight that trend by providing sources.

How do I find out which 9506 version I have?

Now that my phone is out of warranty, it's time to root it. I want to make sure I get the right stock-based ROM for it. There are 3 variants, according to another thread in this forum: Galaxy S4 LTE-A SK (SHV-E330S, ks01lteskt), Galaxy S4 LTE-A KT (SHV-E330K, ks01ltektt) and Galaxy S4 LTE + International (GT-I9506, ks01lte). How can I find which is the one I have? I bought the phone in Greece. I can't find anything I distinctive on the box or in the battery compartment. The Samsung label on the box and inside the phone just say GT-i9506. Since I've never seen all the variants, I can't tell if that is all the information I need to know and, thus, ks01lte is what is appropriate.

ROMs are generally unified. So, unless the other models have some slight hardware differences, it should work regardless.
But booting into download mode should show you the exact model.
