Hi. First of all excuse my bad english.
By mistake I flashed a SKU: WW "recovery.img"(LRX22G.WW_user_1.11.40.421_20150912) into my phone trying to repair it from a bootloop. But my phone is SKU: CN. And I can't find a "recovery.img" file from a SKU: CN stock rom. I only find "recovery.img" from SKU: WW
All the zip files that I downloaded from Asus website for SKU: CN are in a format that doesn't contain any "recovery.img" files.
And now when I try to flash any CN stock rom using "apply update from sdcard" (via recovery in my phone) it says that my phone is WW and the image is CN.
Other problem is that when I try to flash a sku:WW stock rom I get this error that the file size is too large.

Then i try to upgrade with Fastboot mode.. even cant be upgrade in sideload.. I think my phone has some problems on bootloader..

You have tried with update from sdcard.download lastest versione of firmware and rename .zip in update.zip and put the firmware in sdcard,go in recovery and select zip from sdcard and select update.zip.sorry for my bad english

First I tried to update automatically through OTA update but failed.
Downloaded file from ASUS website (build no. 1877 ) and tried to do it manually by placing it in the root folder but still that failed.
ERROR - E: failed to mount / asdf ( invalid argument )
Please help with updation using simple method

3gb ram varient of ze550kl has this kind of problem.
You need to download latest firmware from the asus' site. Place it in the sd card.
Enable usb debugging in developers' setting. Then boot your phone into fastboot mode. Connect phone to pc via cable.
Then put the tools.zip file in the pc and unzip it. Open that folder. Run 'flash all.bat' file. This will flash stock recivery to your phone.
Now boot phone into recovery mode. Select 'apply update from sd card. Select the firmware and flash. Then reboot. Work done. Your phone will have latest update.
Hello, Everytime i try toflash a rom it's says: "Could not found Meta-Inf/com/google/android/update-binary in the zip file"
How do I fix it? I installed the latest official rom from Asus website to Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL
When I open the rom i can find update-binary.

Are you trying to flash the official rom?
You cannot install stock rom in twrp. You need to flash the stock recovery, boot into recovery, choose apply update from ADB, and type adb sideload ***.zip on the computer.
Hey Everyone, I am facing some issues with my Asus zenfone max...
When I try to flash a custom ROM with TWRP it gets flashed successfully but after flashing when I try to boot to the system the phone gets turned off after displaying the ASUS logo for 5-10seconds and again when I try to boot the process gets repeated... :crying:
So, is there anyone who knows how to solve the problem...

Step 1 : Flash stock recovery via ADB
Step 2 : Download stock ROM zip file from official Asus site according to your device and place it inside SD card.
Step 3 : Goto recovery and select "Apply update from SD card" and select the zip file and let the process complete.

hi all
my freind offer me bricked zenpad 10 z301 series reboot on screen asus no command
when i try to reflash it it show me that chip is mt6735 which isnt z301 and there is no z301 with this chip thats mean is flashed with wrong rom how the owner did i dont know and all z301 is mt8163
and all firmware from asus site are with wrong scatter files and with wrong files : system.new.dat system.patch.dat scatter.txt file_contexts.bin ect.....
i try some scatter file in the net for z301 and convert .dat image to img said bad chip wrong bootrom
i dont know how this tablet took mt6735 and it wont took otherelse
on front tablet zenpad 10 z301serie
under cover z301ml somewhere

Can you get into recovery from the "no command" screen (by pressing power + volume up) ? Did it fail to flash stock rom from that recovery screen?
Tried to get into fastboot to boot/flash boot.img or recovery.img?
Accidentally wiped my system with TWRP, flashing the rom with TWRP isn't working either (stuck in bootloop). I was hoping that I could flash the android recovery image and install the update that way. Model - WW-14.0210.1806.33
