Help! Stuck on V350AWM10f - LG V35 Questions & Answers

I purchased this phone 11 months ago and have yet to receive one single security update, much less an actual update. I am using the at&t variant (V350AWM) purchased directly from at&t with an AT&T sim card. I have factory reset the phone multiple times, I have attempted to use lg bridge to update (give an error every time. Yes I have tried different cables.) I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Well, it still should be under the warranty, you should be able to get it replaced by AT&T. If you don't want to get a swap, then perhaps you can consider cross flashing it with the ULM firmware?

I had the same problem. I downloaded the Amazon based firmware. I just googled around for it.latrst version was out there. It updated my phone and removed the att bloatware that was killing my battery. I am on T-Mobile and now everything works including wifi calling and HD voice.

[Q] LG G2 ATT Phone not registered

Hello i am new to this forum and i have a question that i asked around and can not get an answer to it.
Whenever i try to update my LG G2 (ATT) i keep getting a phone not registered error. I hooked it up with the LG software in hopes of updating it, but it says that i have my software is up to date, but i only have the D80010d. So the software recognizes my phone as being valid but it doesnt seem to get an update. I tried doing a factory reset but that didn't work. I did register my phone to the LG website, but that didnt solve anything? Any ideas?
Sidenote - I know that ATT has a service center near my area where they can possibly fix it for me, but i want to avoid doing that if i can. Also, I bought the phone through best buy if that helps in any shape or form. I did talk to LG and they said to talk to ATT, but ATT said to talk to LG. My last hope is just to do CM11 on this phone when there is a stable build out haha.

Even I have the same problem
M facing the same issue.. Did u get any solution for this..?
Get a new sim and try again. I talked to ATT rep and it said its mostly likely a sim card error. If you have a family member also on ATT try using their SIM and it should work. I used my mothers sim and it worked out. If it doesnt, go to ATT and get a new one. If you get updates working you can ask ATT to push updates to you VIA live chat.

I had that exact same issue. Leaving the new sim into the phone go to ATT live chat and ask them to push the updates to you. Just tell them that your phone is on the D80010o update and you would like to update to the D80010q and D80020c (KitKat) right after. It took me about 2 hours total because KitKat was a huge update. Try to keep the phone connected to a charger.
Quick link to the live chat. Just select technical support.

Upgraded to Kitkat...
Hey Rokanaske,
followed ur steps... and just now got upgraded to kitkat... Thanks a ton...
Just as an update to this thread.
If your IMEI number is showing as one ZERO and you can't get any OTA updates because of this. I have the solution. If you know your IMEI, even if you don't you shuold be able to get it from your AT&T account. Anyway, check out this thread. It's a neat program where you can type in your IMEI manually then write it to your device. Worked wonders for my LG G2 D800.

[Q] Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M) says NO MOBILE NETWORK (HELP!)

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this. I'll start from the beginning. I bought a Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337m) from somebody in my city. They said the phone originally worked with Rogers/Fido, but that they switched the logic board on it so now it works with Bell/Virgin. The thing is though, when I put my Virgin Mobile sim card in the phone, it won't let me send texts or make calls. I checked the IMEI and it's not blacklisted or anything.
It says No Service and has the little circle with a diagonal line showing up in the notification bar and when I try to send a text, it says No Network Connection (No signal found for mobile networks). I find it weird because I still get a notification saying that I have an unheard voicemail.
I've tried resetting the phone multiple times. I've also tried flashing both the Bell and Virgin Mobile Lollipop firmwares and that didn't work either. To be honest, I'm not sure how to tell which one I would need to install. I noticed when trying to flash the Bell firmware, that the phone kinda skips to a black screen quickly every time I close an app. I'm assuming that would mean it needs the Virgin Mobile firmware.
That still doesn't fix the mobile network issue though. If anyone could help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!! Here is a bit of info, I'm hoping it helps. If you need anything else, please let me know.
Model number: SGH-I337M
Android Version: 5.0.1
Baseband Version: I337MVLUGOC4
Build Number: LRX22C.I337MVLUGOC4
Also, in the "Status" menu, I noticed it says:
Service State
Voice: Out of Service / Data: Out of Service
Not sure if that has anything to do with it or if that's normal. Again, if you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I'm super desperate as I can't afford to lose the money I paid for this. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Coincidentally my girlfriend has a Galaxy S4 of the same model and with Bell/Virgin. I opened up the ABOUT DEVICE menu in both phones and the only other difference I noticed is on hers it says:
SE for Android Status:
"sepf_sgh-I337M_5.0.1_0013"
And mine says "sepf_sgh-I337M_5.0.1_0009"
Does that have anything to do with it maybe?

Install this APP and add all screenshots pls .
Okay, will do. I will post the screenshots in about 20 mins. I rooted the phone, installed CWM and am in the middle of flashing the latest firmware again. I forgot to enable USB debugging before flashing originally and I wanted to install CWM to wipe the cache. No idea if that would make a difference but I've been up all night trying anything lol. Thank you for the reply though, will post the screenshots in about 20 mins.

All seems correct but I think your device works for Bell Mobile (BMC) only but NOT for Virgin Mobile (VMC). Try to use one BELL simcard for verify it.

In all my experience, Bell/Virgin are always interchangeable. Same with Telus/Koodo and Rogers/Fido. I tried putting a Bell sim card in though just now and it still has the problem. It doesnt load any of the signal bars or anything. Oddly enough, when there is no sim card in the phone, the bars show up?

Since it was from Bell, would flashing the Virgin Mobile firmware somehow mess it up? What are the exact steps I would need to take to try to reset it back to stock settings? I'm wondering if I'm missing anything. Or if the APN settings have anything to do with it? I set them to default already and tried adding the Virgin Mobile Canada apn settings as well

Difficulties after switching to T-Mobile

Hey guys! Thanks in advance for any help or clarity you can provide.
I had to switch to T-Mobile from Verizon. My device isn't rooted, modified, or in any way different than factory. However because of the switch I've had some functionality that I've lost. Namely the ability to get software updates. This phone has been rooted before, and I'm very comfortable with the process of loading up different software. The question I can't find anything on is whether or not installing the T-Mobile firmware will brick/cripple the device. I know there are different chipsets so I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my phone up to date without being on Verizon anymore.

You can flash T-Mobile's firmware or the U firmware without any problems. There are tutorials here in the forums that will walk you through the process.

I tried finding something about loading the T-Mobile firmware on a Verizon device but I haven't had any luck. Only guides on doing a regular firmware update on a T-Mobile device. Should I be worried about the Exynos/Snapdragon differences? I hate asking for something so simple, but could you please point me in the right direction? I'd LIKE to try and go that route, because the U firmware had poor battery life, a lot of heat generation, and requires a patch just to get wifi to work. Then again maybe I'm thinking of the eng boot we had for rooti. I do love my all day battery quite a bit.
Thanks in advance.

T-Mobile, Verizon, and the U phones all have snapdragon processors. No need to worry about that.
Read through this thread here as it pertains somewhat to what you're trying to accomplish. Read it from start to finish so you don't miss anything important.

@Outbreak444 Thanks for the help. Last night I threw G935U-PI3 on the phone and literally everything worked out of the box. Even wifi calling and (seemingly) VoLTE. It's taken care of all my issues. I can't get over the fact that it's now an out of the box solution and it works flawlessly.

Hey, a friend of mine just got the Verizon s7 edge and is trying to get it to work on T-Mobile. Did you have to get the phone unlocked somehow, or did you just install the U firmware and everything was fine. My friend's data is not working. Thanks!

Just look on the forums on flashing either the U firmware or T-Mobile firmware using Odin. It's a fairly easy process if you read through the steps thoroughly. And you don't need to worry about unlocking anything.

I'm familiar with flashing the U firmware, as I did this on my Sprint s7, but my understanding was that just flashing the U firmware didn't open up the bands. But are you saying that flashing the U firmware alone was enough to get TMobile fully working?

My understanding it does. The hardware between the phone's should be the same so it's software that's affecting it. But the U firmware won't allow wifi calling and other carrier specific things unless you're rooted. So pick and choose.

Rooted with new binary, can I install U firmware?

I recently acquired a G935P to repair my old phone that had a bad sim card reader. I used the motherboard from the Sprint phone because i'm not skilled in the ways of micro=soldering items. Come to find out Sprint is particularly difficult because they are the only carrier that has upgraded their S7E's to binary 5. Now I have after various attempts, successfully rooted the phone with no issues, seems to run fine albeit some lag (due to the engboot) but I was inquiring that since I have root can I install the U firmware and how would I go about doing that. Thanks in advance!

Is the phone sim unlocked? You may have to call sprint to get it unlocked first. Until Verizon (or the g935u) gets binary 5, you will be unable to change your firmware, with the exception of the sprint binary 5 firmware.

It was recently unlocked but it consistantly showed the device receiving the signal as roaming, i believe because it was only internationally unlocked? and it did not pick up the 4G bands, only reaching normal 3G speeds and in my attempts to flash the U firmware I somehow managed to undo the procedure :/ I have the MSL code and am contuining with trying different settings to see if I can at least get the phone to accept the SIM card again.

Have you tried to manually add the carrier info? Sometimes when using different roms you have to change where you are connecting to because the rom defaults to another carrier.

Yes sir, I have to access the hidden menu to get into the data profiles but even when i get there, it won't show the APN's set for the device because 'user is not authorized' and when i add the verizon apn information and hit save, it doesn't go through.

I believe once you achieve root you should be able to run xposed, i'm not entirely sure on that but from what I understand it's possible. The U firmware is just devoid of any carrier bloat and allows you to run a more pure version of the samsung firmware, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

On older Samsung phones, when the bootloader was upgraded, you could 'odin' the previous firmware. It did this by not flashing certain components of the tar file. For example, you could go from a binary 5 nougat to a binary 4 marshmallow firmware, but the bootloader would still remain on binary 5... however, you just installed the binary 4 firmware.
Not sure if this would let you go to the u firmware, but may let you rollback to a binary 4 firmware. Haven't tried it on my s7 since I'm stuck with sprint until October... so no point at this time.

Haven't done it in a while since it was on an older phone, but you use a program called z3x Samsung tool pro. It will allow you to only flash certain aspects of the file. You may or may not be able to cross over from p firmware to u firmware with it.

All Samsung's have multiple ways of backing up and restoring. All you have to do is back up using Samsung cloud and when you start your phone it will ask you if you want to restore your phone and then everything will automatically come back to your phone. Factory reset fixes boot loop and other issues

Great, I also found my signal to be better as far as staying connected is concerned. At one point my data kept going out on the atnt firmware and I had to keep restarting the phone or mess with the Wi-Fi calling. I haven't had any problems since I flashed this and plus 8 is faster than 7 so I'm excited to not have to mess with this phone anymore and just leave it up to ota updates.

Which sim card do you have and which carrier provides the phone because then you might have to flash back to 7 and use your carriers official firmware or flash your carriers official 8 firmware.

OEM unlock is an option in Developer Options. Has that always been there?

It's there but it doesn't work. It's just a toggle button that would come with most Android builds for the phones that actually have unlocked bootloader.

If there was root before (there is), then I'm pretty sure it will soon be available for Oreo too. I don't see why there wouldn't be unless those individuals who created or found the engineering kernel for MM AND N, aren't around to help out again. If not, back to 6.0 it goes.
HI, Now I'm on a custom rom with Nougat. Sim's carrier is Orange(UE). If I flash this Official Oreo version the phone will become Locked, right? Any idea how to unlock it, no charges? Thanks!
Thanks for the upload. I was trying to see if SamMobile had this up yet but they did not have it up when I checked. I have the MetroPCS variant and it did have 8.0 available on SamMobile already. I am switching from MetroPCS to T-Mobile so this will be perfect to get my phone 100% ready.
