OEM unlock greyed out after reflash - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

hello there to anybody who can help me I recently just got the T-Mobile 6t and I flashed to international, bootloader unlocked, TWRP, and root. I ran into some complications after updating viper so I reflashed the stock international firmware with MSM tool and now I am on 9.0.13 and OEM unlocking is grayed out in Dev options. I was wondering if there's a way to fix this so I can unlock the bootloader again and install TWRP and root I'm sure it has been answered but I cannot find it any help is greatly appreciated

Just use the msm tool 9.0.11 should be back.

I believe you have to flash v 9.0.11 and then unlock boot loader then to make sure its set over to on ( it turns off by it self at times) before you flash current update. This is what i did at at least.
* just saw it was answered above me

thank you guys for the response, I will try this either tonight or in the morning

Try redownloading th 9.0.11 maybe it didn't download correctly and got a little corrupted. Also make sure you're using the patched msm tool and run it as administrator

You need to download the patch for 9.0.11 and extract it in the same folder as the 9.0.11 file and run the patch that should do it

So I have this same problem. OEM is greyed out, but the strange thing is that TWRP and magisk are installed and working fine. I'm also on a TMobile conversion. Do I even need to fix this?

nope. once your bootloader is unlocked, its a moot point unless you relock it or do a full flash that relocks it

Downgrading from B35

Hi all,
I have A2007U running B35 all stock and locked bootloader.
I'm having problems with MiFlash so I'm trying to find another solution.
Is there a way to downgrade using Sdcard and stock recovery?

You can downgrade without a PC. you need to find the official B32 update package, unzip it (there should be an update.zip inside the zip that you downloaded), and put that update.zip on the SD card. Then go to Settings, Updates, and install the B32. It will downgrade the system no problem.
Any reason to roll back from the 35?

At fastboot, you need run a command "fastboot oem unlock", then you should be able to access twrp.
Your twrp is probably already flashed, just can not be access as you have not run the command "fastboot oem unlock".

Need V20 H918-10P boot.img

Hi guys i am in terrible need of some guidance and help. i cant find a boot.img for the h918
I installed TWRP, and successfully rooted with magisk, but upon updating magisk through the app installed with magisk, now my phone is stuck on the fastboot. 'fastboot reboot' command just restarts it, and its right back to fastboot. i cant get out of it no matter what i do. i can reach the TWRP screen by pressing vol up + insert usb, but i cant install a previous magisk version because i get error 1. i dont know how to reach the download mode to flash a stock kdz, because when i try reaching it it goes back to TWRP menu. I have tried flashing the magisk uninstaller.zip but i cant flash it because it gives me error 1. My only option is flashing a stock boot.img for H91810P.
I actually managed to root successfully, and everything was working fine, until i updated the magisk from v16.0 to v18.0 through the app in the phone, then stuck at boot. I can still access TWRP menu, but not the download mode (i dont know how, with TWRP installed).
i dont know what to do this is my only phone and i work with my phone.
MAIN PROBLEMS:
Relentlessly Stuck at fastboot after installing magisk with TWRP then stupidly upgrading Magisk through the magisk app.
Please Help , I would owe you my life.
Why don't you have a TWRP backup?
Anyway, you can download any H918 ROM zip, extract it, and it will have a boot image.

Just look in the ROMs section and pick any ROM for the H918. If you were on Oreo, be sure to download an Oreo based stock ROM .. if Nougat, then grab a Nougat ROM.

Hey Brain i actually don't know how to proceed even with the boot image what should i do next in my current situation?
If you have the boot.img file, copy it to the storage (internal or external aka microSD), then use TWRP to flash it - you'll have to tap the Image file button to make TWRP load .img files instead of the traditional .zip ones after which you should be able to select the boot.img file and then you select the partition to flash it to. Obviously take your time and GO SLOW during this and make sure you're selecting the right items. If you make a booboo and flash the boot.img to any of the other partitions you're gonna brick the device and have a hard time getting it functional again more than likely.
This is flashed direct install in magisk right?

How to go stable from open beta?!

Hello guys! I'm on OB2 and i want to install the stable 9.0.11. Is there any way? I would prefer without rooting. Thanks!
You can fastboot flash using the thread located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-flashing-t-mobile-oneplus-6t-to-t3865966
Or you can use the MSM tool located here for the intl version:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-6t-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-oos-9-0-5-t3867448
MSM for Tmo variant is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-t-mobile-oneplus-6t-msmdownloadtool-t3868916
Fastboot flashing will require an unlocked bootloader at the least. The MSM tool will not.

Have you tried this? I had to go to beta 2 because I have Verizon and when I upgraded from .10 to .11 I lost all service. A reset didn't even fix it for me. I'd like to go back to .10 stable from beta 2, but don't want to use msm tool since it will lock my bootloader again.
Flashing in twrp will downgrade me to .10 from beta 2?
Thanks

Missing emoji when returning to stock

I recently flashed my 6T to stock from EvolutionX and locked the bootloader, and somehow in the process, it seems my keyboard isn't able to display or type any emojis. The steps I followed are:
HTML:
1. fastboot reboot bootloader
2. fastboot boot twrp
3. flash latest OOS
4. reboot bootloader
5. fastboot boot twrp
6. flash OOS
7. boot system
8. reboot bootloader
9. fastboot oem lock
10. boot system and setup (sign in to google, etc)
Is there any step that I missed, or any way to recover this without rooting/unlocking again?

I have a T-Mobile device, which I converted to Global and finally installed a custom ROM. For any updates, I have to follow the same route - go back to T-Mobile, then global and then any other ROM. Can I use this utility to go back directly to Global from custom or would I still need to first flash T-Mobile ROM?

Technically, this process would be the same as a conversion. Just see if you need to backup any other extra partition, like persist.img or other.

Thanks -- I didn't notice it was an executable. I think I'm ready to go, but just checking. Here's what I've done so far with my T-Mobile version OnePlus 8:
1. completed process to unlock the bootloader (unlocked phone, got token, applied token)
2. set up fastboot in a directory on my Windows PC
3. ran the self-extraction on OnePlus8Oxygen_15.E.35_OTA_0350_all_2103221815-FASTBOOT
Now I'm going to run flash-all.bat. Before I do that, do I need to back up any files, e.g. modem files? Thanks!

backup persist.img and modem.img just in case, and you should be ok to go.
