[Q] SM-N900 EFS nv_dat.bin corrupt EFS etc Pease HELP!!!!

I have a sm-n900 exynos and I have lost my imei and baseband during a Samsung flash. I have a TWRP backup, efs.img backup by dr.ketan's backup tool but nothing is able to restore my efs. I have scanned emmc blocks for bricked blocks and all blocks come back as non-corrupted. may be the partition is corrupted .how do I erase my efs partition to rebuild it. I have tired to flash PIT from ODIN but that too doesn't work.
tried this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...567133&page=36
but need a guide to identify the partitions and how to rebuild them. by any chance anyone know if I could extract twrp backup to files to restore efs or from efs.img so I can use the nv_data.bin, since tried restoring the backups and it didn't restore I feel the partition might be corrupt and hence not being re-written. so might be I have to rebuild the partitions by formatting as explained in this thread. but I don't know exactly the steps for exynos variant. I tried using terminal on twrp but mkef2 command shows mmbcblkp03 doesn't exist which as I have read in posts is the efs partition on this phone and reboots to twrp recovery. and mmbcblkp12 show filesystem too small and reboots to twrp recovery
Can some one upload sm-n900 efs folder may be can try and edit nv_data in hex editer

Could you provide more details about the backup you have:
- What files do you have? What is the name of these files, and also the file sizes?

So it seems you have the correct backup for your device. Some more questions:
1- Can you show the link to the EFS tool you have used to make a backup?
2- What is your difficulty now? You don't know how to restore? Cannot restore? Or you already restored but the problem still persist?
Please be noted that you have to restore ALL efs-related partitions, NOT only 1 partition.
At the moment, my app 'IMEI Backup ★Samsung★' can only restore from the backup that has been made by it. But I will add the ability to restore from the backup which was made by other apps, may be in the next release.

That means the above-mentioned app does not work correctly with the restoring job?

EFS lost on 5.0.1 on 910C

Hello everyone.
Got stock 910C with 5.0.1, today made root and twrp. backed up EFS with terminal emulator (got efs.img) on my sdcard.
Also made EFS backup with twrp.
Flashed custom 5.0.1 rom, right on welcome screen - lots of FCs. Wipes didnt help.
Returned back to backup of stock rom but now EFS got erased. no IMEI and cellular network.
Tried restoring with terminal and twrp - no luck
Can someone advise?

Dont forget, EFS doesnt contain any IMEI certs or CAL data, so if u clear EFS partition IMEI willl be the same, only SerialNumber will be wiped

can u clarify please. how can be serial number be wiped?
EFS partition -> SerialNo, Bluetooth, WiFi and password + settings
IMEI certs -> SIM LOCK, Imei number. CAL data
As u can see EFS erasing will never destroy imei number

then why did i lose baseband?
When you tried to backup EFS or root you lost MD5 signature of IMEI parititon. Now its gone. In some cases it can be undone by flashing to STOCK firmware.
Please check the screenshot for correct location of EFS partition and M9K partitions
i did restore my EFS by reinstalling stock 5.0.1 with odin.

Modemst1 and Modemst2 needed

Hello,
I've erased my modemst1 and modemst2 partitions for mistake, and now my redmi doesn't identify my SIM card. Can someone upload your backup, so I change it to my IMEI using any Hex Editor and flash it here. I already have G4's modemst1/2 but I'm not sure if they are all the same. If possible, send me your IMEI together, so it will be easier to find it using the hex editor.
Already tried flashing stock ROM and NON-HLOS.bin.

Already did... No luck. I've tried to restore a TWRP backup, but somehow there was no EFS option to select.. There was just Boot, Aboot, Data, System, ... I've selected everything that I could but it didn't work.. Still no IMEI. I'm gonna try to shell nvbackup via adb but my hopes are real
I've flashed using Miflash. Could you suggest a rom or another method?

Hi buddy,
I'm really thankful for your help. I know some people on Xiaomi and they allowed me to send the mobile to the factory, they will fix it using the warranty. I've flashed the stock rom and the recovery as well. I hope they don't find out that I've flashed another rom before.
I'll get the mobile back in around 10 days. If they don't fix it so I'll need your help. I'll request here first and then by e-mail.
Thank you!

IMEI Repair

Hi,
In the past somewhere i have wiped my EFS partition, and probably done some other things to my GT-I9505 i should not have done.
Used the phone for 2 years now without even noticing the IMEI was gone. (I live near a border, so bad network is common.)
Currently the phone is stock except for a custom recovery (TWRP). Tomorrow the IMEI will be restored by a local shop for 50 euro's, was the max budget before considering a new phone.
When it is restored, do i only need to backup the EFS partition, or should i take other things in mind, before flashing custom roms again?
Also, what file do i need in the EFS to make sure they did not just modify the software?
Thanks in advance.
The IMEI is no longer stored in the EFS partition. When you get the phone back, use Wanam Partition Backup and back up the following partitions. Most of these partitions are hidden, which is why you need Wanam: it can see the partitions.
efs
fsg
m9kefs1
m9kefs2
m9kefs3
modemst1
modemst2

Thank you, i was under the impression it still was. Makes one wonder where it is actually stored.
Phone works again, time to root and make the backups.
