i dont like miui much and i see there are couple of custom rom available for this device. so my qustion is
1. does the camera in those roms takes same quality day+night picture?
2. and what about smoothness and overall performance of the phone in those custom rom?
3. custom roms like resuruction remix and blisspop are stable to use as a daily driver?

I'm not sure we have blisspop rom etc yet for RN2. Just AOSP and CM. Camera is just as good but stock rom is better. And has PDAF
camera sensor and Soc, could permit the redmi note 2 to recording in 4k, but Xiaomi blocked this option -.-
1. No, MIUI takes noticeably better pictures.
2. Nope. There's stuttering when you clear out recent apps every.single.time.
3. I don't think there even is RRemix yet. I tried Blisspop for 5 minutes, it seemed OK.

Blisspop was good but I just prefer MIUI for the better camera quality and it's a bit more stable too.
I might give Resurrection a shot though.
AOSP and CM Camera is just as good but stock rom is better.
Miui it's much much better
I wish someone could port it to aosp/cm...

I have tried deodex the MiuiCamera and install to CM, but it FC.
What I love of miui camera is that exposure is adjustable with the rotatory circle... It's fantastic

Nexus experience is better

Tesla is awesome IMO
The best so far IMHO are Nameless ROM, Nexus Experience ROM, crDroid. All are completely stable, fast, smooth and very good battery life. I use all of them with Berserk kernel just to get more out of a kernel.
Rocking a crDroid right now. Totally loving it.
Go with nexus experience room

Sorry if this is not the place, and sorry for my eng too, but I have this doubt, I've seen differents cyanogens from China and the resurrection remix, I always had cyanogen on my Moto's I dont known the RR and I dont even know what is more stable today (I have a very bad internet and my 3s come this week, cant test any rom yet, but I want to download something stable to test when 3s arrived)
On another words... What rom are U using? And why?
PD: Sign please, https://www.change.org/p/publish-the-kernel-source-for-the-xiaomi-redmi-3s-prime-3x
With this we will have true roms based on the real code of the dispositive.
Thanks!
(Sorry my eng, again!)
I currently use Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 as of now.Its stable enough to be used as daily driver, only flaw is the vedio recording but it works fine when used via footej camera.Rest everything is great.RR is actually based on Cynogenmod only ,plus some more customisations and features like split screen multitasking etc.I also used CM13 for about a fortnight, its also pretty stable.YOu can use either of it!

Any noticeable lags, battery drain?
nope..i didnt notice any in the latest builds...the previous build of cm13 did drain battery a lil bit.and previous 5.7 RR lagged a little..but again the latest one is really good.it even has october security patch
I am currently on RR 5.7.0 as my daily driver for past week or two...it's quite stable...didn't bumped into any bug...waiting for kernel release so more custom ROMs can be made.
Please make sure you signed the petition on change.org, which request the xiaomi to release the kernel sources of R3S (If you want to see more custom ROMs).
Thank u very much for ur answers! I'll try the RR 5.7.4, when my 3s arrive, and yes, I've signed the petition when we were 240 aprox!! I'll put the link on top
PD: If someone want to share his experience with one of these roms or anothers are most welcome!

Yes they do...both CM and RR have a feature called "protected apps"...it locks any app ,and you can unlock them with fingerprint. Also if you use xposed, you can try "maxlock" which is a great module and provides applock functionality with fingerprint support(i myself have tried this module).

Hi, just want to know does audio recording is resolved? Because the last time I'm using unofficial CM13, it have this problem and will crash when trying to use audio input like google now (except native call).
And also, does doze work good too?

Yup doze works perfectly
At the moment I can only recommend this https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-11-3.35941/ which is actually a customized, well debloated and fine tuned MIUI builds. Until devs can get their hands-on quality sources officially from upstream (from Xiaomi and that's not happening yet), there is no other substitute.

FM radio support: yes.
Battery backup: almost same on cm, and less on rr.

Miui has bugs and problems. Currently, I'd recommend custom ROMs to only those who have problems using Miui (like me). And ported ROMs are not that bad - only VoLTE support issue, video recording problem and a little less battery backup. Everything else is fine and smoother.

For me significant reasons to replace a rom would be stability, battery life and I don't like miui look. But if I don't gain anything in battery life I just freeze most xiaomi crap including mi account and battery life management, install my normal greenify-titanium and other apps and stay at miui either developer or stable from miui-hellas. Only thing I really miss is the ability to run custom app from keys. If cyanogen could improve their battery life I think I would easily switch...

That can happen after kernel source's release.
I'm currently using cm 12.1 and in past I have used RR lollipop Rom.
One thing in this ROM is bad which is its camera app.
It is not better than stock one.
So can anyone provide stock camera from stock ROM for cm 12.1?

not possible, stock camera app is built to work only on Samsung phones that are running TouchWiz ROMs.
try another camera app, maybe "Open Camera"

LOS16. Stock Android and it has the best FP performance, right behind MIUI. Everything else I've tried, the FPS barely works.

Fingerprint sensor works/detects better than other custom ROMs for out device, right next to stock MIUI. That's what I mean by FP performance. Our LOS16 doesn't have OTA but the developer is already starting work on LOS17.
