Hi. Does anybody else has a problem when launching the camera with the screen locked (with double tap in the power button or quick toggle on the lock screen) you can't change between the lenses? When I click I get a vibration kind like if I was trying to use the fingerprint sensor. When I unlock the phone and open the camera it works fine. Tried clearing cache, rwbooting phone still has this issue!
Works fine here

Anyone else with this problem? Still can't switch between the 3 cameras when launch the camera from lock screen
This is caused by goodlock's notistar.
Disable it in lockscreen

I am having problems with the face down mute and light sensor thing. I would love to be able to get these working.
I have tried Schaps Advanced Config, Diamond Tweak and Registry Edits.
I would like the device to go into mute (do not ring calls) when it is put face down
Also, I would like to disable the automatic screen going off on call and let the light sensor detect when it is close to my ear and turn the screen off...
Appreciate your help
I think there is no light or proximity sensor on the HD.
I do nothing and my HD goes silent if I turn it face down.

Couldnt one then infer that it is obviously a feature of some software you have installed?
Isn't there any setting on:
setting - system - motion sensor or some kind?
Could we have a list of install software on your HD?
Don't sweat it guys!
It just works out of the box!
And fyi the HD has a Light Sensor, G Sensor and Stylus Sensor.
Yes - the light sensor is in the earpiece area (if you have ambient light sensor option checked [default], have it open in a bright room on a mainly white windows screen then cover the earpice area you see the screen dim)
I don't know about it working straight out of the box but you can certainly do it with Gyrator 2.

There certainly is...
Actually, I wanted to start this thread myself..
Face-down-mute does NOT work on my HD. Neither with Gyrator ON, nor whent it is OFF.
I have checked the registry (HKLM/Software/HTC/Phone/MuteFaceDown or smth like this..), the key setting is "1" so technically it should work....... But it Doesn't!!
Face down mute works if you have it face up and somebody calls you. Just turn it face down and ring is muted.
This is only thing I found on this topic.
Turning the phone down mutes incoming calls for me too. no problems there..

This is very useful and it absolutely works. Cool! I thought when we place the phone face down, it would jsut be muted period. I was also assuming that there was a way to do this with Gyrator, but didnt know which event to select on orientation face down. I can turn off the screen, but there is no option in gyrator to mute the phone.
Thanks for the help though.

This is what I also assumed, when I am in the meeting and get a call I put it face down and it mutes, but then when someone else calls I need to face it up then down again which ideally doesn't work for me.
Isn't there a key like FaceDownMuteAll = 1?
Unfortunately i have the same problem. Flipping the phone is not muting the ring. Maybe its something to do with what we install. Also another strange issue no matter what i do i have the active sync always running in the background.
I have changeScreen installed and if I disable it it works. I think gsenor apps are the cause

It works straight out of the box, I installed all sort of Gsense apps and it removed and face down mute still works fine.
Even in the case it is faced down and someone ring, I just have to face up, see whos is calling and face down again, it muted.
I have noticed over the past few days that when my screen is off if I tap the sensor it will turn the screen on and the LED light will also light up (usually 3 taps about 1 second apart).
I have smart stay, air view, and all gestures turned off (except screenshot). Finger print scanner on. nothing set as far as i can tell in any other menu.
Has anyone else experienced this at all? Is this a "feature" to wake the screen up.
It doesn't bother me, just curious. I am going to test on my wife's phone tonight as well and see if hers does it.
Tap what sensor? The one at the top of the phone?
Yes on top of the phone between the ear piece and the front camera.
Interestingly enough I tested on my wifes S5 and hers does not do it. I am curious what app I installed or setting I changed that is making this happen. As of right now I also do not want to reset my phone at this time as it is not a nuisance. I will try to get a video clip of it and post it.

That a video was to be posted to view of the quirk.
Well I have figured out what was causing my phone to do this. It is in fact a feature of the phone and is called air wake up.
To enable or disable go into Settings>Accessibility>Dexterity and interaction>Air wake up.
I must have at some point enabled this by mistake without realizing it.

I can't added this feature on my phone..
Back again with another bug.
Ok, so to use the flashlight gesture you have to light up the screen using the power button. Fine. But I have to shake it really violently to get it to react and turn on. It's actually quicker to unlock the screen using the fingerprint sensor and then use the drop-down shortcuts.
Can someone tell me if they have the same issue? Beginning to think I have a lemon and might be better off getting a replacement while I can.
Thanks in advance.

My flashlight gesture is almost identical to the moto x flashlight gesture (chop chop). Work great, just wish the screen didn't need to be on.
Edit: scratch that, it's a lot worse since updating to B27. Will add this to my big bug list. Thank you!
Same issue here since the update. I shake it big time and it won't even turn on.
Hi, so I enabled fingerprint gestures in Settings and there will be times when the sensor and gesture won't work. I would have to either restart my phone or disable then enable gestures again for it to work. I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a poor fingerprint sensor on the S8. Anyone else having this same issue and know of a permanent fix? I contacted Samsung and all they said was to clear the fingerprint sensor cache and if that don't work try in safe mode then factory reset if necessary.

Yes.
Seems like a faulty hardware... On mine it works flawlessly.
I place my finger over the sensor, it takes half a second and the screen turns on unlocked. Also, the gestures for the notification bar (which I don't use), work without a problem.
Try wiping everything and even flashing a new stock rom from SamMobile .
If this doesn't work, bring it back where you bought it and request a new unit.
So basically my touches are about 6cm away from where I actually touched the screen, it won't let me switch to front camera or press the shutter button because of this.. any ideas on how to fix it? I tried screen calibration but the Moto camera seems to be the only problem.

Man that sux. Are you rooted or tampered with system in any way? Have you tried just wiping the phone? (Factory reset?)
If you didn't do anything like change or add anything in the build.prop having to do with the camera, I would try a factory reset or reflash the firmware and if neither fix the problem, you've got a problem with your touch screen or something.
Did all that, idk what it is honestly. My touch screen works fine with everything else except camera.
