Like some people I installed the leaked 4.2.2 update for my Note 8 wifi. I'm curious when the official version comes out for my country (usa) will it show up as an official OTA update or will I have to manually install it?

More than likely you'll have to install it manually. It's very rare that you will see an OTA for an unofficial leaked build.

Guys my Sony Z2 d6502 isnt getting any OTA 5.1.1. Should i be worried? I did a factory reset and nothing changed. Its stock and unrooted and updated fine to 5.0.2. It seems every one else have already received an update. So is there any fix. Or does any one one know why am i not getting the update. Thanks in advance for your help.
Which country do you live in? Do you use a branded phone? These factors influence the updates.

I live in Bangladesh. And my phone is'nt operator branded. The thing is one of my friends has a D6503 and he already received the update 4 days back. And that's what has got me worried. Thanks for the reply mate.
Is your date and time correct? A few days ago mine is wrong and I can't get the 5.1update. Now it's OK.

Also where is Nordic update?
The update hasnt spread much for the D6502 series, I'm sure by a week or two, you should see an update

Xperia Z2 D6502 Lollipop 5.1.1 23.4.A.0.546 update available as OTA for Customized GEL Id 1281-5464.
Unbranded Europe CE1 is not available too.
today sony pushed update for 6502 version of xperia z2 as you can see all major countries got it

P;S check via phone update center i was not getting notification via pc companion
so far this update is good no lag more fluid + camera is way way way faster then before not tested image quality yet
Find a PreRoot suited with yours and Flash ^^
Or you have to simply wait for CE

No it's region bound, you can download from sam mobile as the update is released if you don't get Ota

Hi so I'm running the latest ota on stock firmware and I'm wanting to try the unlocked firmware however the only one available is marshmallow which I'm fine with using for a couple weeks or so until Nougat is released. The question is can I downgrade to Marshmallow by flashing the appropriate files in Odin? If so does my sim need to be unlocked to flash? Thank you so much have been looking for answers but no luck.

The SIM doesn't have to be unlocked first as long as it's the Sprint Sim. I did just that recently - downgraded from the Nougat 935p to mm 935U.
