I' using S8+ (SM-G955U) AT&T version unlocked. I'm living outside of US and cannot get any updates. Is their anyway to get the updates? The samsung website doesn't have firmware for AT&T version and I can't find roms for my version of phone. The phone's baseband version is G955USQU1AQC9 and processor snapdragon 835.

Hi there,
I have rooted my phone and installed the US firmware in august. What is the latest Canadian firmware that works with videotron? I would like to go back to the latest canadian firmware so I might be able to get OTA....or is there a way to have OTA using a US firmware in Canada? Thank you very much.
I could not say. I'm also a Canadian with the US firmware (provider is Telus) but had not got to install the latest firmware update yet.
My s7 edge, according to apps like cpu-z and Antutu, my model number is SM-935F. But when I see my software version, it is SM-935FD.
I HAVE bought this phone in Dubai and currently living in India. So according to Indian version on Sammobile.com, I flashed SM-935FD Rom.
Now the problem is whenever any new update comes on my software version SM-G935FD, my phone shows its already updated with latest update while sammobile shows new update.
Should I download SM-935F Software which belongs to other country??
(I have exynos and dual Sim phone.)

My phone is S7 Edge SM-G935F Snapdragon Variant Which Is Single Sim.Can U Guide Me How To Enable Volte In The Said Phone? Thanks In Advance!!
In November last year I bought a factory refurbished Galaxy S7 with the Snapdragon chip which came saying it was a G930F. However, I have come to realise that the G930F is not an actual model of the S7 and is simply a Verizon S7 which had the firmware debranded but will not receive OTA updates because it is not recognised as a real version. Is there anything I can do about this?
F is the international model that does not use the snapdragon processor and can unlock the bootloader. The U model is the US varient that uses the snapdragon processor and is bootloader locked.

All you can do is flash the latest G930V (Verizon branded) or G930U (Debranded) stock firmware using ODIN 3.12.7 or newer
But double check in download mode which model it shows there first, likely it will show G930V in which case either of the above firmwares will work fine
Or take it back and get your money back / demand the G930F
How do I flash this ROM?
Is it safe to upgrade firmware targeted for one Galaxy S10+ device to another device?
Assuming both phones are either running Snapdragon or both phones are running Exynos.
Example:
- buy SM-G9750/DS (China/Hong Kong version)
- flash firmware from SM-G975U1 (US Unlocked version)
Will this be safe? What is the procedure? Has anyone attempted it?
Will I lose Dual SIM capability?
What are the potential benefits of doing so?
Will this also enable more bands (which are not enabled on China/Hong Kong version of the phone? example band 66 and band 71?).
Is there other way to enable those bands (CDMATool does not show those bands in selection).
Bands are hardware, not firmware. Flashing different firmware won't enable more bands. Flashing different firmware won't get you anything I'm afraid. They all effectively share the same firmware. All you'll do its cause potential issues.
I know the Exynos dual SIM variants share thw same firmware as the single SIM Exynos variants. But I'm not sure about the G9750/DS and G975U1 .
Hi, newbie here.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 unlocked AT&T. Provider is Straighttalk. Owned this phone for years. The Android system has not updated beyond ver. 5.0 (not even 5.0.1). Here are numbers that may help provide a solution.
Ver. 5.0
Baseband ver. G900AUCU4BOF2
Kernel ver. 3.4.0-4432708
Please tell me how to get the phone to update to the most recent version.
Thanks, thelonius

All Samsung phones get major os updates for about 2 year's so the S 5 ,depending on carrier, country and if it's European, Asian, African or American, can be stuck from android 5 to 6.
See sammobile and search for your model and carrier (if not unlocked) what's the lastest firmware available.
If there's a more recent firmware available and you don't have OTA notifications or OTA dosen't give you it after tying a manual update, try to update with samsung kies installed on a pc.
If even this dosen't work, download ,from sammobile, the lastest odin (it's under your firmware) and install it on your pc. Then download the last firmware for your model (always from sammibile) and install it with Odin. On sammobile, under your firmware, there's the explanations for how to do it.
