Help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I have this device and I used to use it a lot but then I got a new device. Recently I wanted to start rooting so used this device as a dummy. Instead of flashing Malik’s I flashed the update package or something like that for magisk and bricked device. Got that fixed by wiping stuff in twrp but when over board and wipes the os. Now when I boot j to recovery it does not happen and I’m stuck as boot logo. I don’t need any of the information on the old phone so I am wondering if anyone can help?
Ps I was running team win on it and it’s the Samsung s4 stat model.

Boot into download mode and check what firmware you were on. Depending which bootloader you're on, you can download it and use ODIN to flash back to 100% stock. However, if you're on later firmware the firmware package may not be available here in the forums.

[Q] Uh Oh...

Bought a new Nexus 7 because my wife and I have them and love them. We had bought our daughter a cheap 'funtab' from walmart just so she could play a few games she loves and hopefully leave ours alone, the funtab was a complete POS so it was returned to WM and just bought her a N7 instead.
When booted, the tablet it immediately notified me of the update from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1. Each time it tried to update it would fail partially through, not sure why. So I thought I'd download and use the toolkit to force the update. After unlocking, rooting, installing busybox and so on. I choose the option to flash stock image. The update process started OK there but part way through gave an error, something about needing to be 'X' but is instead 'x' before going back to the home screen. Now the tablet is stuck in fastboot mode, and cant boot to either recovery or android. I think I may be in trouble here.... Any suggestions?
#1 reason why people shouldn't use tool kits to root. You have no idea what went wrong or where the problem occurred.
I'm assuming that your tablet is unlocked so you need to download a custom recovery and install it via fastboot.
Then download the Stock 4.2.1 ROM from the Android development section and flash it in the recovery.
This should give you an idea of how to do it.

I've done more research and I'm currently working on getting the android sdk going. I've downloaded it, jdk, the proper factory image (i think I f'd up by accidentally downloading the factory image for the hspa model). My question now is can the factory image be flashed from what appears to be fastboot mode, or do i need to flash custom recovery first (via the sdk)? I can confirm that the bootloaded is unlocked.
Ok so I was able to flash the stock image using the instructions found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
This process went extremely well once I had all my ducks in a row. Thanks for the help.

[Q] Bricked my G2 and really need help please.

Hello everyone I need some help with my G2 its the rogers D803, First off I'm kinda a noob when it comes to flashing roms, this is my third G2 I've owned, i bought it off kijiji and its been nothing but trouble, my LTE wouldn't work and I couldn't update it to 4.4, The ota wouldn't work cause the device was not resisted. I tried to update with the LG support tool, when i would connect the device it would say update found then all of a sudden it would say your device is up to date. So i decided I would root it and flash a custom rom. I used TWRP a flashed Mahdi Rom and it worked great. Now here is where I messed up, I decided to try another rom, went into recovery and did my wipe but i accidentally wiped the system along with all the roms and zips I had on the internal storage. now its stuck i n a boot loop, I'm still able to get into twrp and also can get into download mode. my problem is I'm unable to mount the device to get my roms or even my backup folder back onto the device. when i plug the phone in i cant get the drivers to install , ive tried using ADB but my device doesn't show up on there. it does show up on the lg support tool when i put it into download mode. If anyone can help me out it would be much much appreciated. sorry for the wall of text but I'm trying to give as much details as possible.

Nexus 6P Soft Bricked: Please Help

The system was informing me that i had no OS installed when i went to install a custom ROM, caught up in the panic i was quick to find a thread on how to reinstall factory images onto the phone, having followed the guide and flashed all the necessary .zip's and .img's to the phone i expected it to just boot back up into normal android. This is not the case, it is now stuck in a boot loop and i'm getting rather scared that i may have wasted my 3 month old phone. If anyone could help that would be amazing.

Deleted Bootloader on LeEco S3 X626

A couple weeks back I deleted the OS off of my phone while messing with TWRP recovery trying to install a custom ROM. I looked around the forums and i got my phone to the point where It booted into a stripped down version of android with stock recovery on it, although everything was mirriored and backwards. But when i tried to install the stock rom for my LeEco S3 with stock recovery it got stuck i a boot loop and I couldn't turn off the phone or boot into recovery or anything. So i let it keep booting until it ran out of battery and died. So then i decided i would put the stripped down version back on and start again.
So I went back to my sp flash tool and reinstalled all the partions except the boot and recovery partitions (according to the steps on the forum) but my phone still wont boot into anything, it is completely black and wont boot into recovery or fastboot, and im running out of ideas on how to fix this phone :crying:
After pretty much giving up all hope of fixing my phone, i figured i would try the format option in the flash tool and then reinstall all of the pattitions. I selected format all flash, not doing proper research first, and now i cant even reinstall partions, I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL error anytime i try to flash the partitions.
can you at least get the phone to fastboot mode?

No I cannot, The screen is completely black and nothing comes on at all if I hold down the power button.

I have already looked through that thread, and i have done everything up to the flashing process, and then I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (0xC0060003) Error. I looked it up but the only option I haven't tried to solve the issue is to remove the battery, which i cannot do currently because to remove the battery you need a heat gun to remove the screen to get to the rest of the phone. I think I've given up all hope on fixing this phone and may just begin saving for a new one.

same problem. after twrp flash x626 not boot

SM-P613. Error vbmeta image.

Hello!
I was recently gifted a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 SM-P13. I only use my tablet to watch chess videos on Youtube, so I was happy to get a tablet to mess around a bit with it. I did not know much about rooting, but I thought installing Lineage OS and learning from it would be exciting.
I'm good at following instructions, but with some overenthusiasm, I realized that Lineage OS did not support my model a bit too late. So I reached step 5 of "Installing a custom recovery using heimdall" in the official instructions (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gta4xlwifi/install).
But I could not do step 6 as it could not boot into recovery mode. It will stay in download mode with the following message:
<!>
_partition recovery
Reason recovery: Error verifying vbmeta image: invalid vbmeta header(6)
CUSTOM recovery
VBMETA P613XXU1AVG5, 54410278R
I have looked around to see fixes, but I have felt slightly overwhelmed. So I have installed Odin, and at this moment, as Lineage OS is not an option, I don't care which ROM to install (stock, lite, etc...).
Can someone guide me on what to do now so I won't worsen things?
Thank you for your help in advance!
Hey Pablosky000, have you tried using odin to flash stock firmware to fix it back to how it orignally was?

Hi. Liked I said, I feel a bit overwhelmed and risk-averse at the moment. I have Odin installed and a the stock lite version downloaded. Was hoping for a "Try Odin with stock first" before making any further mistakes.

I don't fully understand whether or not you are wanting to return it to normal or not here, but I do know about the S6 lite. I have my own S6 lite, and I noticed no one has been updating the patched files for it. A recent update forces it to have the file it was talking about, and unless someone makes a specific twrp for that device specifically, we won't be able to use a custom recovery to flash a rom.
If your issue is getting it into recovery mode however, you aren't alone. The Samsung tablet's usually have the same method for launching, but this one specifically was weird.
You have to:
1.Unplug it
2.Hold power and volume down
3. As soon as it turns off plug it back in and begin holding the recovery key buttons
4.If it isn't in recovery you may have just missed the small window you had to do it, which is fine just start from step one until it works.
If you did flash your own recovery and expected it to show the stock Samsung recovery menu, that won't happen since you overwrote it by flashing a recovery. You should be able to find your device model on https://sfirmware.com/
In odin "AP" is where you flash your recovery files. If the device isn't working you may have to also flash the "BL" or binaries for your device. I usually do anyway just to make sure it is going to work correctly. Make sure you have adb, and any Android drivers needed for it to work. Let me know if you need more help! Thanks.

Perfect!!! Thanks a lot. I didn't have much expectation apart from "not bricking it". I just wanted to make sure I did not do anything stupid. Follow your instructions. And it worked perfectly! Thanks a lot for the help! I truly appreciated. I am usually alright at a lot of these things, but I ended up being a bit lost, and just wanted to make sure I stopped doing stupid stuff!
Million thanks!!!!
I am facing a similar issue, but I can't seem to find a recovery image, so can you please help with that? I went to the sfirmware website, but can't locate the recovery image for sm-p613, though I did find it for other models such as p610. At this point, I'm fine with going stock os if it means I haven't bricked the tablet.

I softbricked mine with Snapdragon last night. See the fix and link to a working recovery image here. Developer says there's no hope for Snapdragon support for the S6 Lite Wifi now or in the future. Samsung doesn't even support the firmware reload for this device in their own Smart Switch Windows app.
