The speaker doesn't get too loud, but the quality is fantastic.

My only gripe with this phone is the speaker I wish it had dual speakers or at least be a little louder

I use Volume booster GOODEV (playstore) . Set it at 5% and it gives a better sound output (loudness). Go to the settings >app>volume booster Goodev>power usage details>app launch> manage automatically (disable it to run in the background)

loud speaker very bad quality. It sounds horrible and quite low. Even the ringtone is horrible.

After studying a bit the issue, the problem apears to be software, but there is no settings for sound, no dolby, no nothing. Only some basic on/off type settings.
Realy waiting for some customs roms (a RR or a CM) .. PLEASE

So far the speakers very loud much better than the V 30 as far as volume quality I would say is about the same just louder if they put a speaker like that at the other end of the phone at the top this would be pretty sweet. Much easier to use for speaker calls.

About its Speaker Volume, honestly i would vote 3.5/5 . Its speaker volume is not loud enough for outdoors usages.
However i believe the clarity out of what you can hear is good after all.
Its Earphone/Headphone Sound is good, along side Huawei Histen Sound Effects makes it even better. i would rate around 4.5/5 here for headphone sound.

I think it's nice and loud, no distortions on max volume. However, it lacks some bass and highs, that's all I can say about it.
EDIT: Wait, I just realized that this thread is about the speakerphone, not loudspeaker. So.. about that, the speakerphone is clear and loud.
Loudness is very good. I use it as a "stationary mobile" in home to reach kids when outside, and they can hear it ringing from most corners of house. Louder than many flagships I've had (looking at you Sony).
