Is there a way to turn off the suggested/frequently used apps in the recents screen.?

Three dot menu in the finder search bar at the top.
Or try Samsungs Good Lock App, it's called task changer, then u can customize it the way u want. Good Lock includes loads of apps to help you customize the phone the way u want.

Hi I searched everywhere and couldnt find any answers, but I have the tmo version of the LG, I'm running Nova and see people with transparent navigation bars on the bottom. I cant seem to get it to be transparent or find a setting, I'm also on stock no rom installed. I'm rooted can any one let me know how to get the navigation bar transparent thank you!

im not using the nova launcher, but you can go to settings > display > front touch buttons, then at the bottom of that you can selet "transparent background"

I did that for some reason it stays black when i use nova
Where you see transparent navbar on Nova on G2? I also using nova and navbar iz black or white
Transparent navbar does't work with 3rd party launchers.....just with stock launcher

Since you're rooted you can use autohide soft keys from the Play Store. It hides the Nav bar and you activate it by swiping up from the bottom. It takes ten minutes to get used to it. And while you're at it..You can hide the status bar on a per app base with the app settings module. You have to install the xposed framework first (and put the uninstaller on your sd, search it here on xds). You can then activate the status bar on swipe with smart status bar from the store.
Might take a while to set up this from scratch, but you end up with a screen without any buttons or bars as long as you don't call them. You asked for the transparent Navbar, I recommend the invisible one. See Screenshot to see what my nova settings, my browser (and every other app on my phone) look like, with bars hidden and bars called.

If I use multi wallpaper to set my wallpaper in apex launcher my status bar goes transparent, that will do for me. Give it a go

Its a wallpaper that comes with the G2. When you select a wallpaper, you can choose it as an option for where you want to get your wallpaper for.
I can confirm this works for me as well. Im using Action Launcher, and the status bar is transparent when i use Multi-Wallpaper.
the aicp rom for verizon phones does this. its awesome. not sure if its avail for tmo.

Did you mean "multi-photo" mode to set wallpaper? I've tried it on Apex Launcher but the navigation bar didn't become transparent [and yes I've enabled transparent bar in the display setting already]. Am I missing something here?

Just a random (but important) question: why do I get Quick Settings page as my default when I pull the notification bar down? Shouldn't it be the notifications page? And how do I change it? Running OmniROM 4.4.2 Nightly (26/1/2014)
You should only have quick settings when swiping down from the upper right corner. You can change this under settings -> notification bar. If it's happening generally when swiping down i don't know. Sorry

And you are sure you don't have quick pulldown enabled (Not the same as smart pulldown!)? It's in settings -> bars. That's the only thing i can think of...

as my experience if you pull/drop notification from right you got quicksetting mode and if you pull/drop from left you got notification mode

So today I was messing around on the stock launcher for my Honor 8 and discovered that if you use four fingers and start tapping the screen it brings up a hidden apps menu. Not sure if it's something known since I looked it up and could not find anything. Here are some screen shots.

oh man, all you have to do is use two fingers swipe out and .... tada you're in the hidden apps drawer
BTW, it has been there since EMUI 4

Its works on 6.0 but with 7.0 not working with two fingers, i'm trying that answer two.

I got the G950WVLU1AQI3 update today and noticed even though the little dot shows on the nav bar, pressing it doesn't do anything. I don't mind not having it hidden but it's also defaulting to an ugly white background Is it just me?

Been like that since last 2 updates
It's single click on mine, double click does nothing.
Mine was single click until last update so...things change.
It was changed to double-click to alleviate accidental clicks.

Mildly infuriating me that I've got my icons perfect size & using the LineX icon pack but whenever I go on to the recents page I have the standard icons which are also huge, any ideas?
It was a sore eye for me to see different sizes too so I turned off suggested apps, go to the 3 dots menu then settings from the recent page.

Yeah it sucks, I did turn off suggested apps briefly but I actually find them useful, hopefully a workaround is found or something, thanks for the suggestion though!
