If you are on 5.2.7.3 you dont have a firestick 4k.

Somehow I predict my Miracast phone, TV, Surface Pro, and High end desktop computer will do none of this Miracast crap... as usual.

Any rumours about Amazon updating the Amazon fire tv box gen 2 to android 7.0 / 7.1? just with the newest kodi 17.1 and spmc 16.6 requiring 5.1 its sort of maxing the OS currently. I know Amazon won't care about this as they don't support kodi or spmc lol

I can't even get 17.1 or 16.6 to install on my FTV using abdfire. All failed to install.
The Fire OS6 has been out for a while, the Hardware specs of the FireHD8 7th gen are similar to the 8th generation except for few tweaks. So will it be possible to install fire OS6 on Fire HD8 7th generation?
It will be released as an update in the future as per Amazon support chat.

The fireTV Lite stick and the 3rd fireTV Stick are lineageOS supported (unofficial), but amaz. doesn't like this somehow and patch/fix all vulnerable sticks just in the factory (all new sticks) or via updates as soon as internet access is aviable (all older sticks out there). Chance to get a vulnerable stick is still good, if you go into a store or shop and look for the serial number on the sealed boxes (compare serials). Goal is to find a low serial, i.e. old stock. Take a look at this posting (and the thread), to get an idea about the serial thing
