Folks,
I have the XTRONS model PF82MTVA (8" VW model, upgraded to Android 4.4.4)
It is:
Full AOSP On MStar Cedric3
CPU Cortex-A9 dual core
Android version 4.4.4
MCU Version 4.3.10.1-1-10-610101
System version 2.9.5_20150413

Decoding the MCU version gives me:
Version: 4.3.10.1
H/W revision: 1
Car model: VW

Can I flash this to Android 5.1 with the Malaysk package? Which one?
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Any luck IM LOOKING FOR THE SAME? Where did you get your 4.4.4 update from, CHEERS
Folks, I have seen a couple of requests for more info re my Xtrons unit recently.
Sorry for this late reply but I am travelling in my van and at the moment have done almost 10, 000km in the past 4 weeks. Presently on the very west coast of WA.
Sorry, but I simply can't recall where I got the upgrade - though I can say it worked fine though when Xtrons folk tried to help with an unrelated issue the solution involved reinstalling the original Android version. Sorry. I will TRY to find where I got it when I'm home again.
I must tell you though that I had months of trouble with the unit leading up to the reinstalling of the original O/S. THAT did not solve the problem. In the end, when I had to put a new battery in the car and do some underbonnet work the battery was out for 2 days. When I put it back in the head unit worked fine!
In the subsequent 6 weeks there has been one "no boot" instance.
Through the months if issues, no variation of resetting changed things. Installing the original code didn't work. It was only totally powering down the unit that worked.
FWIW and for ?reference.

Hi all
I might have bought the only android device in the entire China, that is un-root-able. :crying:
It is a ZOYOSKII fra Aliekspress with following info:
10,4" screen
Android 9 PIE
CPU Info: CPU:Intel X86_OCTA-CORE 1.8Ghz SC9853 4+64Gb
MCU Version: 2019.10.15 09:51:58 XHCN_53_l82_G23P48F64_Ver:1.0
It seems like the "new" intel processors is not the most used in the industri.
The only other i have seen, is the Joying devices, but i havent been able to find a root that i dear to use on this unit.
Can you help with a root-build for this or can i use some allready-existing root?
Thanks.
There is no "ready to use" rooted build for any SC9853 unit.
You need to use the way as described in the Joying thread and build your own rooted boot.img.

1st of all: You need to get in contact with your seller to get the OEM firmware.
2nd: Install the Joying Extra tools by @surfer63
3rd: continue with posting a screenshot from the extra tool
did you end up finding any information on this unit?
I bought one off of a friend that has the same information and I can't seem to get a few things working
Do you know the Security Code for this unit?
Have you got the latest build?
3368 is the code I believe
have you got something new for your head unit. my head unit also the same, I used joying firmware and root but not compatible
I have the same headunit, has anyone figured out how to root this device from this seller (ZOYOSKII)? I have multiple issues with the headunit, and would be great to collaborate. Another seller (Sinosmart) has the same unit, is the firmware / rooting process the same?
I have one of these too, i need to root so I am able to hide the navbar at the top.
Any updates on this? I just bought a used car with this already installed. I just want carplay and a newer version update.
Hello . New here and have a question hopefully someone can help me with.
I have an aftermarket single din Android head unit which I believe is made by XTRONS. It has been working great up until recently when I noticed that more and more apps are not running as the Android OS is outdated. I just wanted to know if anyone has information on how to update it please. The simpler the better if I'm honest as I'm not great at these things. A complete how to guide would be perfect if anyone knows if one exists.
I'm guessing it's just a case of downloading the correct update file (something I would appreciate help finding as don't want to end up bricking the unit), and putting it on a memory card which you then put in the GPS memory card slot in the head unit?
I have been on the settings menu and have brought up the following information.
Model number rkpx3
Android version 4.4.4
Baseband version unknown
Kernel version PX3_V2.00.0020.00.00
Build number common_V1.00.00060.53.1
MCU build number LM-AND-841-7090V1.22
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also wanted to ask if it was just a case of updating the Android OS or if I had to update the MCU as well or is it something you should do anyway?
Apologies if this has been asked before and thanks in advance
Hello..
Recently I bought a PX5 Android headunit for my VW Golf MK5 .. Figured most of the things out. However I am unable to determine device particular model, as it is showing just PX5 in the About Device menu. Generally I am trying to find a way to get into Engineering Mode to play a bit with the microphone sensitivity settings. However I don't know how it is done for this device.
How can I identify the device model if at some point I need to perform firmware upgrade, and if somebody can tell me how I can get into the engineering settings. Already figured out the 0000 for factory settings.
Thanks

You have a obscure MCU but "It seems a S32F0 MCU based HU,
(...) The remaining is the same of any MCU with S32F0. You can try, at your own risk, to flash one of the S32F0 MCUs based on 7708 Radio Chip.
I get the same fake Android 11 **** ROM on mine and I succesfully updated to real Android 10 !
You can get real Android 10 with Online update watch here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/firmware-for-mcu-mf1.4273219/page-2#post-86791627
That is some useful information..
So it the Fake Device Test app reports that the real Android version is 10. So far any apps I am using on the device (music player and any nav apps) does not require any android version above 6. Are there any real benefits from flashing to a real Android 10 besides reporting the real version?
