Any way to cast without wifi with this device???

I want to develop an app where i can share my screen (presenter) to others (viewers) over a wifi connection either by using wifi network with AP or WiFi Direct technology (like Miracast ).
Better if there's no requirement of creating a host AP i.e. via WiFi Direct.
but if its not possible we can go for the hotspot option as well.
what will be the limit of participants?(i need it to be atleast 10)
The app is required for presenting ppts without using projector so i thought this way if there's other way please mention.
Is there a way to spoof my phone to make it appear to be on the network it's broadcasting when I have the hotspot turned on so that I can use screen mirroring? I want to be able to use it with my Roku 3 but when I try to enable screen mirroring I get the message telling me that the WiFi hotspot will be automatically turned off. Any ideas/solutions will be appreciated. Thanks.
u trying to screen mirror over the hotspot through your roku?
Yes, when I'm using my hotspot in my phone and try to turn on screen mirroring it automatically turns off the hotspot. Is there any way to avoid this?

Im on Acheron as of this moment, so it has the motorola tethering app through xposed. Maybe try that? Because I have had no issues with it or the stock tethering app.

As far as I know and understand, screen mirroring requires the use of the wireless nic (WiFi card) in your phone. I know Chromecast does this and I think AllShare cast also (as does Apple TV/AirPlay). That's just how the device communicates with the receiver... via the wireless network.
As long as hotspot is enabled, the wnic is in use and other services that rely on it wouldn't be able to use it.
Huh. I have a successful Ethernet connection on the np. However I cannot get any device to connect to the np via Google cast (or dlna). I know the problem is almost certainly that the devices and the np don't think they're on the same internet network connection. I can find no information about the np Ethernet connection anywhere. Most comments don't even cover Google cast and Ethernet. Is the Ethernet connection and the Google cast connection supposed to work automatically? If so, it doesn't and there's seems to be no help on it anywhere. I read something on the many pages discussing pc issues with this that igmp needs to be adjusted on the router but my router has no igmp option. Has anyone here got Google cast working via Ethernet on the np? Thanks very much.
Prior to 6.0, casting worked fine even when connected to Ethernet. The first build of 6.0 worked fine with casting but subsequent updated do not. If o had to guess, I bet it is the result of a cast app update that broke the feature.

does anyone know how i can get it to work?
Just tried WiFi Hotspot in my car, I usually set it up such that my Alexa is connected to my phone hotspot while driving. While Alexa can connect to the hotspot, it cannot playback any music or ebook. I tried connecting Alexa to my home Wifi and everything works, so it looks like a WiFi issue from the phone... any idea?
Trying tethering my iPad to OP5 and it seems fine, can play Youtube... so maybe it's temporary issue w/ Amazon server, will test again later. :/
trying more and it's still the same... very frustrated.
Are there some kind of firewall with the hotspot setting that may have blocked something going to the Echo?
You know I just going to blame Android 7.0 Nougat any chance we can have a CyanogenMod 13 6.01 based foxfi friendly ROM ?
