Pretty sure the phone only has adaptive power saving mode. If adaptive battery exists it's just something within the ai built into the phone....which would also work with adaptive power saving mode.

What did you restore to your phone after you did a factory reset?
If your battery life was bad, is either because you restore apps from either smartswitch or a backup, or because of the proximity sensor bug. Otherwise battery life should be good, unless you have apps that are draining a lot of battery. I had 10h SoT on my exynos variant and battery was not charged to 100 was at 94%. I will suggest you to look a the battery optimisation guide here, and also the exynos battery life thread.

Well there is proximity sensor bug, that does not allow the phone to go on deep sleep after you make a VoIP call (whatsapp or facebook call) this is solve by rebooting the device, but also the new software update aahas fixed this issue.

So I recently bought an s7 edge from Verizon and it has horrible battery life compared to other people with the same phone. I went to Verizon with this issue and all they did was give me another phone in exchange for the previous one but that did not help. Sometimes the battery drops 12 percent on standby overnight. I have found a few apps which have been draining my battery but I unfortunately cannot disable them: gear vr service, help, and knox use over 12 percent of battery each. I wish I could root the phone but no roots are out for the snapdragon version. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Can't you just use disabler pro to disable those apps

Im really amazed how people just go to lets say phone provider and say that they dont like the phone and they get a new one . In Poland I think this kind of thing just wouldnt work. Especially that at the moment this phone is sold out and i was luck to get mine so fast.

Do you have AOD on at night? That will burn through some battery.
Those three apps are interesting. How did you determine they're using a lot of battery?
When I look at them in the application manager each one says it's used 17% of battery since the phone was fully charged (24 hours ago). But that can't be accurate. Added together, they'd use more than 50% of my battery capacity, but they don't show up as individual apps in my battery stats, and the largest user (Android System) only used 30%.
Can you post some screen captures of the battery usage screen showing the apps using data? You might also try force charging to 100%, then force closing those apps, and see if there's any impact on battery life. If not, then it might be worth trying Package Disabler Pro. But most Edge owners seem to be getting good battery life, so I don't think that should be necessary.
I am getting the same drain (S7 edge verizon). It only drains my battery at my dorm wifi and when I go home it's fine. I don't think it's a Samsung issue since my LG G3 with a 6500mah battery can't even last two days on standby.

I've been debating if I should do a factory reset because since updating to 7.0 the battery life hasn't been as good as it should be. So I'm wondering what the community thinks I should do and getting everything back is a pain in the ass. Battery life hasn't been the best since 6.0 when it was using the february security patch and I can't even go back down to that.
Has anyone had better battery life after factory resetting?

I prefer BK Disabler, the color codes used by PDP for the different types of packages is not as good as the tabbed view used by BK Disabler. At least for me.
Edit: another advantage of BKD is you can disable unnecessary services too.

I did a factory reset with wiping all cash twice and it didn't help. The battery life stayed as horrible as it was after the update.
Want to mention that i didn't disable any app when using my phone on Android 6.0.1. I had AOT turned on and my battery could handle up to 1.5 - 2 days. Now it's less than a day :/
Also, I wonder, if Samsung reduced the phone's battery life after the Note 7 problems (I've read couple of articles that they were planning to reduce it from 3600mAh to 3000mAh). Does anyone have any correct information about that ?
Thanks.

Probably won't fix it, but hey, it DID fix the glitch I had.
I use bluetooth 100%...phone, streaming...
I'm on 560, and if the phone were turned off/on, and bluetooth was on at the time of
reboot, I had to manually turn the bluetooth back on. After wiping the Dalvik cache,
now, when I power off/reboot the phone, I do not have to manually enable bluetooth.

It could be your physical battery breaking down. Have you seen if any apps are the culprit?
I think this is some massive issue. Many people have the same problem including me. Before the Nougat update my phone battery could live for 2 days, now I have to charge it at least once a day (sometimes twice). Tried to reset the phone couple of times. Nothing helps.
Recently I started experiencing bad battery drain (13% over night) and I noticed my kernel has been keeping my phone awake. I did a factory reset without restoring a back up and still the same thing.
Can anyone take a look at my screen shot and help me figure out a solution?

Yeah it works , try updating to latest firmware as they have improved battery drain , you could turn off AOD , put some apps to sleep in the settings that you don't use and optimize battery usage for them. i was told Mobile Data consumes alot of battery , I'm getting 2% drain for the night unless I leave some downloads.

I have not. I have literally no idea why the phone is acting this way. I also don't know why my battery stats are not working on the app.
Also idk if this information will help my phone is a snap dragon 855 US variant.
I might try another factory reset. Could you give me a safe to disable list? Perhaps I could try just disabling little pieces at a time and see what happens. Maybe I uninstalled an important service or something.
For example I completely removed wellbeing from my device. Idk if it is important etc or had a role in certain services.

Sure, I have the exynos so that might explain why cpu spy works for me.

I used the command that the app tells me to use. Does gsam work on exynos?
I emailed them two weeks ago, never got a response back.
