As the title says, I enter Magisk manager and go Uninstall > Restore Images. I then download the 303.7mb update and it almost instantly fails with the "Couldn't Update. Installation Problem" error.
Has anyone else has this problem when using Magisk for March update? Has anyone successfully installed the update with Magisk method?
I had this problem. Unable to fix, I installed V10.0.4.0 cleanly and updated to March update
I too face this issue is there any possible way to solve it ??

First you must use magisk_unistaller, then restart normally without magisk installed. Install the ota (are two, one of 300mb and other of 1gb ) and finally reinstall magisk.
will try this!!

Well, your last option is clean. You must reflash stock rom and then update. Finally reinstall magisk. You can make a copy of your apps and configurations in your google account.
thanks a lot man

Did anyone could find a solution for this? I haven't installed magisk again, since there's a high chance this can happen to every OTA from now on.

What i resolved was to install magisk anyway, and when it's OTA time, i'll just downloaf the entire rom, flash it by TWRP and then reinstall magisk. We'll have updates until september, so i'll do this 6 times more and that's it.

Hi,
I've unlocked the bootloader, instaled TWRP as recovery and rooted it, now, when the OTA message appears and I click on it, it reboot into recovery, but the updated is not performed... any idea how should I apply the update with the custom recovery?
Thanks

Take backup
1) do a full-wipe and try again..
2) do a full-wipe and install CM11S -- 22R freshly from fastboot and try... (install TWRP & root )
3) Try ota zip and flash... from

Not really , my opo is rooted and has TWRP , OTA was successfully installed through TWRP and the phone is still rooted
Make sure that "Update CM recovery" in developer options is unchecked and try again

I didn't even received my Opo, will hopefully arrive today :laugh:fingers-crossed: I just wanted to tell what I heard.
Updated it using TWRP but once booted it tells me there's an udpate, over and over... update in TWRP seems to work (no fails, only message is "radio image updated")
I'm rooted unlocked and using TWRP and it worked fine for me...

Apparently, that's not all:
People who have received a OnePlus One through one means or another are now receiving an over-the-air software update that addresses a charging issue affecting the device. Sometimes the phone would think it's plugged into USB when it's actually plugged into AC power and, as a result, charge only half as fast, if not slower. The handset would display Charging (USB) instead of Charging (AC).

Seems to TWRP has been removed after OTA update. First time it run update with TWRP but update notification still stay in tray. And after second try it disappear but together with TWRP
Works for me too. Using TWRP as Recovery. Press the OTA update then reboot into Recovery Mode automatically and process the rest upgrade command

I haven't received the update yet
Wish I hadn't taken the "update". My phone came rooted so I thought that was the default setting. This update killed root so I had the hassle of re-rooting my new phone. Also missing a few features now.
Yep it's out.
For those of you in need to manually update read below.
Download: cm-bacon-d22b777afa-to-0428073396-signed.zip (KTU84P, XNPH30O)
Install: To install the update, flash a custom recovery (TWRP recommended), boot into it, then sideload using adb sideload - if you've ever updated a Nexus device before, then you'll feel right at home, as the steps are exactly the same. TWRP will ask if you want to re-root at the end.

Why can you flash the zip, why do you have to sideload it ?
Mine keeps failing some sort of verification check, on both cm recovery and twrp.

Are you sure you're installing with "adb sideload" as instructed? You can't install from the "install" button in TWRP.

yep. on both the stock cm recovery and twrp i get this error:
Code:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/framework/apache-xml.jar","44e4.........","eab54.........")
If you've flashed any mods or made any changes to the system. It will fail.

Basically when you're on stock ROM and if you did any changes to your /system/ then it will not update because its been modified.
does this include removal of apps ? Mine failed to sideload as well.+
Edit 1: I did do some modding of the build.prop as well this morning.
I had a feeling that the system partition was a problem, so i wiped it and then reflashed the previous build from cyngn.com and the update still fails.

Same problem here, fails at:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/framework/apache-xml.jar","44e4.........","eab54.........")
Everything is stock, except Recovery. Tried with original recovery and it still fails...
Got mine to update even though the system partition was updated with a modified updater-script.
I will upload the entire zip with the updated script. For those that know what they are doing the updater-script is attached.
Edit 1: Note you do loose root. You have to install supersu again if you did have it previously (if you modified system then you did)
I have a louder sound mod. So basically I have to reflash to pure stock to use this? That sucks.

I guess the update.zip factory image from the official site isn't truly stock. so i went with the nuclear option and just reflashed everything via fastboot. update worked perfectly now haha.

Hi there, I've been having problems with the Titanium Backup recently and tried some troubleshooting method such as unticking Mount namespace separation in SuperSU. They didn't work until i get to the point on updating the SuperSU from Play store. Then asked me to update the binary which i selected TWRP and it rebooted. After the installation from TWRP, it only boots to recovery. Tried turning off the phone and it still go to recovery even if i select reboot system.
Now i tried re-flashing the 'CF-Auto-Root-a7lte-a7ltexx-sma700fd.tar' via Odin3. It completed but then it's only boot looping. Sure i know it would reset multiple times but it has been more than 30mins doing like that over and over again. Tried to flash the TWRP again via Odin and wiped data/system/cache. And tried installing the Ressurection rom but it fails it gives me error "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/A7 Root and all/Roms/RessurectionRemix........"
Error flashing zip........
Then tried rebooting system. It said no OS installed proceed to reboot then saying device does not appeared to be rooted and asked me to install SuperSU which I did and it just restarted and still on boot loop....
Any help, please? TIA

After flashing twrp dont let the device reboot. The stock recover overwrites twrp. In odin uncheck reboot then after the twrp install you have to boot to recovery Vol+ home and power..

Hi everyone, I installed this and issue arised, my system settings went to default rather than my customized settings.
But started to realize that my quick charge isn't working anymore (at least doesn't show a notification saying the fast charge is connected) and also no more vibrations for my touch light keys (back and switching apps buttons) when I touch them.
Pretty annoying, anyone has these issues and know how to fix these? Thanks

Just updated and all is well.... Downloaded the full image, removed all magisk modules, reboot, local update option (upper right hand cog in system update menu), then installed magisk directly to other slot, rebooted and all is well.
I'm assuming you wiped because you installed the full update versus using local update option... It even tells you data should be preserved but backup just in case before the procedure.

Is it possible you were on the Open Beta before? I have heard rumors that going from Open Beta to Official Release causes unwarned data loss. FWIW, I did this upgrade from official 11.0.1.1 and did *not* experience data loss.
However, and this has now happened (I believe) both with the 11.0.1.1 and 11.0.2.2 upgrades, the official upgrader looks to have swapped A/B slots during the install, as opposed to doing so after the install and immediately before the reboot. The result is that if you follow the guides that tell you to install Magisk to the inactive slot, you'll be hitting the wrong slot.
I suspect people can probably get away with doing a direct Magisk install to what it considers the "active" slot right after the OTA update and then rebooting. For an extra layer of safety, you could do that first and then hit the inactive slot afterwards. You would then likely end up back in your pre-update OS (albeit still having root), so you could switch slots manually with fastboot or do a second install to inactive slot in Magisk Manager to switch slots that way.
I'm curious if others have encountered similar slot weirdness. Perhaps it's dependent on whether one is using Oxygen Updater or the stock updating program. This is my first OP phone, and first experience rooting with A/B slots in general, so I may be overlooking something obvious here.
