I have an android app, Screen Torch.
The app changes brightness to 1.0f when it starts.
Is it possible to enable ultrabrightness programmatically?

I am curious that whether there is any way that i can get the stock google sleep animation (the old tv animation) on the note 3 N9005?
is there any ROM or app that can allow me to use that animation?

i use a app ( free ) Screen off and lock .......together with Nova prime launcher, (i have stock not rooted .)
in Nova prime i select gestures .."double tap " and then select this " Screen off and lock" as the action .
.....so i double tap screen and get selected choice " tv animation" etc or any other effect/animation on sleep.( so i do not use hardware button !! ,at all )I get a real cool animation on sleep !

i do not know if this is what you are after ,?
If so,
just be carefull to select correct icon ,as in app drawer it has two icons,
one is the screen off and lock .. other is the screen off configuration ( settings ) that you have to first configure and also give administator premission in settings /security.
You can see with number of installs in GOOGLE play it is popular ..
option that you can try ??

i have used it constantly , on my old htc desire hd , htc one x , note 2 ,note 8.0 tablet and also using it on note 3... for past month or two !!!
Never ever had any problems .!!!!
(you must remember to enable setting ,/security / device adminstrator ..etc )

I know that this must seem like a stupid question. But how in the Name of Linus, do I change the background of the Lenovo Lockscreen?? Or better yet: How do I get it to use the default system wide background?
Really this is no joke. After 2 months of usage, I still cant find the darn setting to change it! Although I thought I would be capable of doing so.
The solution is to put your wallpaper in the folder /storage/emulated/0/.lelauncher/wallpaper
Then you can select the wallpaper with the Lenovo background tool.
Solution is from the lenovo support forum:

Thats horribly inconvinient... First Lenovo screws up the Screen, than this!
I also see, that there is no way of using a Live-Wallpaper there... too bad
btw: I had the same Problem as someone in the lenovo forum: I was using a different launcher because the lenovo launcher as well is horrible.
Btw. if you have stock launcher installed (doesnt have to be used) you can change lockscreen background simply through it (in 3-dots menu in right bottom corner)
is it possible to cast the screen to a tv via miracast protocol ?
on a S7 there is a system App "Smart View" but not on this phone. Also not on a S5 Neo.
Can anybody give a hint, how to mirror screen on these two mobiles.
