When I get a notification from Discord, Messenger and sometimes WhatsApp and then click on the notification, it takes 2-3 seconds for the app to open. If I press the app icon from the launcher it opens immediately.
So far I've tried restarting the device, clearing app cache, reinstalling the apps, disabling battery optimization and finally wiping the cache partition from recovery. The only thing that worked was wiping the cache partition, but the problem returned after a day or so. Interestingly enough, the problem does not appear when using Messenger Lite.
Any ideas or fixes? Have any of you encountered a similar issue?

Hi guys ,
I am using a rooted stock ROM on my nexus 7 and was watching YouTube when all of a sudden movie kept playing the same frames for a while, while audio was plsying fine and then all of a sudden the tablet rebooted. After reboot all of my third party keyboards got disabled in the settings by their own. Anyway, my problem is that after reboot home button is not working! And when I swipe up also the Google now shortcut is not working ! Nothing happens.
The back and recent apps are working fine right now.
I tried rebooting again but that also didn't help!
Anyone has any ideas ?
Looks like the ROM is booting on kind of safe mode.
I mean when I hold the power button there is only one option and it's power off.
I tried power off and on again but that didn't help!
Also the settings shortcut in the notification menu is not working! But the display rotation toggle is working.
Developer options were disabled, unknown sources for apps were disabled!
Did any of you had this problem before?
I also tried clearing the settings app data, cleared the cache and Dalvik cache from recovery!
These things didn't help!
I would at least back out the rooted Rom and verify that the way the device was intended to work still works. From there, see if there's any updates about using that Rom on the nexus 7.

The thing I don't want to wipe my data and restore everything again! I just installed button savior the home button in that app seems to work.
I think I need to clear data on some system apps part to re-initialize some settings again!
I KEEP losing my "clear all" recent apps (search bar too) - Is there a permanent fix?
My clear-all recents [X] keeps disappearing.....It starts with the search bar disappearing in the recents screen, then shortly thereafter, the [X] disappears.
I know there's a temporary fix for this by booting into safe mode and re-starting (and I've done this each time)... But after 5 times in less than 4 weeks, this is getting old having to re-setup defaults, widgets, and Dropbox (a few other things too).
Does anybody know what is causing this or if there is a permanent fix I've overlooked?
I had faced this issue once.... The only way recovered is reset the phone.. i know its very annoying but i could not find any other way. May be you can speak with Oneplus customer support and see if they have any fix.
I'm also facing same issue but don't think so that there is any permanent fix for this. Maybe a future OTA update will fix it. Till the time you if you want the "clear all" button and If you are rooted than you can use Gravity box.
Same thing happened to me as well. I did something different.
Just stopped clearing app and let android do the lmk, as needed.
This just happened to me. After installing the latest update to the Google app and rebooting the phone, the search bar and clear all button in the recent apps panel were gone.
Incredibly how buggy OOS is ... I thought leaving Huawei was a good idea ...
UPDATE: Fixed it by rebooting into safe mode and then rebooting "normally" again, though I had to set up all my accounts again after that.
Sometimes, when I press on app icon (it's doesn't matter, Samsung's app or third party) a phone make 1-2 seconds pause and only than start open app. I can't say that phone hangs. My phone stock, no root, with latest nougat patch. I use Nova launcher. Does anybody has problem like me?
Try clearing cache , reboot and see , if it's Durant help id suggest do a factory reset and see
When i try to go into the settings of my camera, it pops up, but doesn't stay open ? Opens and closes in a second, i can stop it from closing. I tried Force stop, clearing cache and erasing data from it, but still does the same thing. It doesn't crash the camera, only that the settings window doesn't stay open. Anyone have an idea what would be doing that ?
I just got the Nov. 7 update on my Tab A 10.5. Everything runs fine so far. Only problem is when I try to open settings it force closes. Everytime I try to open settings I get a pop-up saying the settings keeps stopping. I have the option of app info or force close. I can access WiFi and Bluetooth settings by swiping down the notification shade and tapping and holding the appropriate icon. But I can't get into settings. I cleared settings cache and data, rebooted into recovery and cleared cache. Still keeps force closing. I really don't want to factory reset and lose everything. Any ideas to try first?
