Will a Verizon S10+ work on AT&T? - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Thinking about trading my iPhone for the S10+, but the S10+ is a Verizon device. Will it work on AT&T?

Yes it will work but it would be advisable to flash AT&T firmware.
And it is unlocked.

Thanks! From what I've seen, AT&T firmware isn't available yet, correct?

If it still works like the s8+ when you insert the att sim and restart it downloads the att device build. I factory reset it and it even had the att boot screen and all features worked.

This is not available yet. Only on the S8 and S9 models. It will be coming in a future update according to a Samsung rep when I asked about it.

The s10+ isn't Verizon only.. I was given the option to buy it for any of the 4 carriers or unlocked. I have the unlocked 1tb on ATT right now with no issues

Did you reset your phone? It may have changed, but worked for me.
Its been a while so wasn't sure if a reboot fixed it or if I factory reset it. I do know I bought the s8+ from Verizon then moved to att used it for a while like that, then realized I wasn't getting updates. So that's when I started messing with it. I know after i got it fixed i had the att boot screen as well as all att features.

I have one that was purchased and still financed on Verizon and worked initially with a tracfone AT&T network sim. Then I went to sell it to an att customer and when their sim went in it pops up a message that says call verizon to change carriers on this device. Anyone else?

How to activate unlocked Not 3 on US Cellular?

I just got a factory unlocked Note 3 SM-N9000 from an online retailer. I was told by the seller that I should be able to just swap the sim card from my Galaxy s4 to the new Note 3 without any issues. Of course this is not the case. I took it to a US Cellular retailer to see if they can activate it and they said it cant be done.
Is there a trick to get this to work or am I out of luck?
Thanks for any help.

[Q] g935k/g930k anyone using a Korean s7 in the US?

Anyone been able to use the Korean S7 in the US? I'm on AT&T and want to use Samsung pay without having to be limited to no tethering on the AT&T model.

I have just got Korean S7 edge and it works with AT&T besides the fact that I cannot setup Samsung Pay. It gives me a message "insert a SIM card of the country you are in".
AT&T SIM is in, so I have no idea what is the issue with it. All other stuff is working fine

Yes, same time you get that message. Maybe your phone was branded by Olleh, right? See at booting time. Many my friends reported if any korean version phone with Olleh will be facing that problem. But if SK Telecom no problem. I dont know why. So, I wanna cross flashing using G935F firmware. But I'm so scary if bricked

Yes my phone is Ollleh. I am not a specialist, but the more I read, more I convinced that G935F should fit.
At worst case, if bricked you can reflash Korean FW back

I am not sure if I prefer to flash stock and get Samsung Pay or just root and clean the current one (or flash custom afterwards), giving up on Samsung Pay
Second option looks like less risky to me  I will take my time to think about it

Very interesting! We are getting closer. The commenters on that board are thinking the phone is a Sprint variant. I don'the know enough about the S7 to know exactly how different it is from a Verizon phone.
Yes it is real. It is on a T-mobile S7 Edge. Here is the thread.

Yes, Unlock for about $2 on eBay. Will work with Tmo & ATT, and their MVNOs. You may, or may not, need to switch to 3G for first call to register (I had to), then you can switch back to LTE without any further problems. You also may need to manually add APN, but I did not need to.
It's a pretty solid phone and can be had for $40 at Walmart, or price-match elsewhere. Really stinks that the bootloader can't be unlocked. I didn't think it would bother me...but it really does. Oh well, I knew it before I bought it. Will be a good backup.

Have you tried entering your APN manually? Try Googling Tmobile apn settings.
Others are getting it to work on Tmo.. https://slickdeals.net/f/10418732-s...w-free-store-pickup?p=103877488#post103877488

Maybe your SIM card is activated on another phone. Happened to me on MetroPCS. I put in a SIM that was activated on another phone...it worked fine for about 5 mins., then all service was removed and it said Emergency Calls Only. You really should try entering the APN manually, if you haven't done so already. I'm now using Cricket with no problems at all.

I think that's the issue. Same thing happened to me. I tried to use my gf's SIM from MetroPCS in mine. It worked for like 5 mins and then lost service. MetroPCS doesn't recognize this phone for some reason because it is a Verizon phone. You could call them and try to add it to your account. Cricket picked it up easily. I just had to do a lot of searching for the correct APN.

Call MetroPCS and register your SIM to your E4, go with Cricket, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless. There's always a possibility that Metro won't allow your Verizon E4 on their network because they want you to buy theirs. I'm sure...as you know, theirs don't even have a fingerprint reader.

Personally, if I were you...I'd go with Cricket, At&t, Straight Talk (At&t), or Total Wireless(Verizon), because T-Mobile (MetroPCS) coverage is not all that great.

Well I may be buying a AT&T S10+ that is "Unlocked" so I'd rather have it branded with T-Mobile stuff instead of AT&T.

Ok that makes sense.
Just make sure it's truly unlocked. I had an ATT iphone that ATT actually unlocked and it was used on Verizon for 1 year. No problem. Then it was used on ATT again briefly and when sim cards were switched to TMO I got the dreaded invalid SIM message. A quick call to Apple revealed that ATT locked the phone again! And I wasn't an ATT customer. I did get it unlocked after calling ATT but what a PIA.

Cool thanks for the heads-up. Once I get the IMEI number I plan on calling AT&T and make sure there's nothing wrong with it like lost/stolen/still financed then I'll call T-Mobile and give them the IMEI number to make sure there's nothing wrong with it on their end.
