Minor battery drain in note 5 pro
I have noticed 5-6% battery drop in idle 8-9 hours which i feel is on much higher side from nougat viewpoint.
I had lineage OS 7.1.2 in redmi note 3 previously and battery drain was only upto 1-2% overnight.
Well, even I've experienced a 5% of battery drain overnight. May be it's the issue with the stock kernel. Guess it'll be fixed soon by Xiaomi else a custom kernel will do the job.
Im using redmi nite 5 pro 6 gb variant. Im a moderate user and I face a heavy standby drain. It drains 5% while I use it just for watching videos in 15-20 minutes. Kindly reply if you face the same problem

I had 8% battery drain on wifi on idle for 6 hours. I would call it a fair.
I charge my phone once a day in the evening when in decreases to 20%, not exceeding above 80% takes me about 1 hour.
I have the global version phone, miui V9.5.6.0, I went to sleep with 80% battery, woke up with 79%.

Can you tell me mobile data on or off?
I use the latest Xiaomi EU Beta Rom from Rombuilder Page and i lost 3% overnight 95 -92% in 9,5 Hours.

Same for me. Wifi, GPS, data and bluetooth ON. Overnight mine drains 1-2%. Quite impressive
Mines draining quite a bit. I'm on the s636 Note 5 Global. Not sure if it's WhatsApp or Google etc causing it. I'm tempted to do a hard reset and see. I'm on MIUI 9.5.6.0 are there any guides on how to optimize the ROM? With light use I'm getting 1 day+ down to 40% but was expecting it to be better as I can see others have done so too.

No.. without any data... actually im getting good battery life (10hr+ SOT). you can check screen on time thread for battery results

Mostly WiFi. Oddly enough my phone just shows "4g" not 4g LTE
Yesterday I got 5 hrs SOT with over 1 hr of Pokémon Go and still 24% left. Display was on full brightness in auto mode because the sun was shining like crazy. That alone used around 30%. After that I set up my Android Wear watch and did some downloading of games etc.
I think when simply browsing on WiFi/4G way more is possible. Will post if I have some figures.
These 3 pictures are from today. Mostly wifi, 1 hr commute, 40 mins Pokémon Go, a lot of twitch and Reddit.
Gotta say, I am very impressed.
I don't have screenshots, but on first cycle I got 5h45 min SOT( setting up the phone, social media, youtube, phone calls etc.) and 35% battery left when I left to sleep. First impressions are great, and I'm really liking this phone so far.
From 95 to 25.
Wifi and LTE casual browsing, lots of instagram, some streaming to chromecast.
Battery is fine.

7hr 15 min of SOT in 16hr 5 min of usage. 4G on whole time except the 7hr at night during which the battery dropped 6 percent.

My result - heavy usage with navigation, taking pictures, changing countries and only via LTE, 3G, 2G
I am having massive battery drain. The launcher, phone app and voice calls are the main culprits. I have just charged my phone so I will be posting my stats when it drains below 20%
I am mostly on lte and a medium user. I am getting only 4.30 to 5 hrs of sot when the phone hits 15%.
10 mins of calls takes 4% of phone and voice calls. Is this normal?

Not bad, my old device Xperia z2 would go down to 35% for similar usage.
My screen on time is 5 hours. And battery drains to 27%. It isn't bad, but it isn't half as good as what others are getting.
I'm getting terrible battery level life. See attached screenshots. The phone is also very warm and still discharges when plugged in via USB. Do I have a faulty unit? Any tips gladly received. I've reset it, formatted the SD Card (from my old phone). I'm at a loss.
My battery life on 1st full charge with dual sim usage on 4G: I am pretty impressed with it.

On a single charge I am able to get 1.5 day usage with all time mobile data on. If I am on wifi it can last around 2 days.
SOT is almost same.

What am looking for is a phone which can last a me whole day typically 15 hourday with emails phone calls social media, an hour of streaming music on Bluetooth with good camera. Is this better in terms of battery life or OnePlus 6?

My friend has OP6 I just enquirer about battery and he says at the end of the day around 20-30% on a moderate use which is less than honor 10

After 1st charge. Still has about 10% charge .. 19 hours 30 mins since last charge with over 6 hours of SOT

my app (accubattery) seems to display 8 hours of SOT while browsing on wifi atm.
and not sure if its because i have turned on battery saving but past 2 days i get 9-10 hours browsing on wifi.
that seems right for a 3400 battery for it specs.

These were my accubattery measurements i think theyre faulty though.

I'm getting a bit more, but mostly over WiFi, ralely on data (4G), sometimes I charge the phone at night before going to sleep (10:30pm), go to sleep with my phone near to me and check it several times during the night, and it reaches 4pm with 30% of battery, so I feel like in normal situation more than 14 hours of charge and around 8 hours of use.
installed a new app for battery measurement called 3c battery widget.
according to this thing i probably get around 8 hours of sot as well. (wifi browsing brightness set not too high)
I can get max 3-4 hours SOT. 4G active all the time except when I sleep ~8 hours. GPS allowed. No wifi, not playing games at all. Using Facebook, messenger, 9gag and sometimes navigation.
Record is 2.3 hours SOT at 54% battery so with same usage I could get about 5 hours. Usually 1 SOT hour = 25% battery for me.

I am getting 9-10hours SOT consistently on the P30 Pro, mine is the 256GB 8GB RAM version, and I have been thoroughly enjoying the camera and battery life.
8 but i have another 20% battery so i can make it 10.
I am definitively not getting that much.
Right now I have 29% battery left with 4,5 h of SOT and 1,5 hours of calls, couple of pictures taken yesterday. BT was on the whole time connected to my watch GT, Wifi on, 4G on.
I just updated yesterday afternoon to version 124. Maybe it improves over time.
What's the best way to drain less battery? Keep WiFi on or Mobile Data on or both at the same time?
With a normal use (from 5:45 to 17:45) with
auto brightness, 2 wearable connected, 4h of music via BT, GPS always on, 1h of voice call... I made 9h of SOT within 48 hours (with a single charge)
I have a problem. The battery menu can not be more than 6h SOT. I do not know where I'm wrong. can he help?
I have the same problem. I think since the update the battery drain is insanely fast.. No rogue apps, just fb, messenger, and mostly of them are put to manual mode.. What is going on, pls help. Also it can barely go through 24h without charging, mostly 5h on screen time max..

Sounds like a faulty device. You should be getting 8 hours and over for SOT

How the hell do you get 11h on screen time with one charge????
Either with screen dimmed so it's visible only in total darkness + wifi internet... or in fact some people have outstanding battery and other got horrible.
I always end my day with 50-60% left and 4-5hrs of sot. Auto brightness and mobile data.

The brightness was average 50%. It has to be mentioned that the battery is hugly affected which apps that are used. As you can see from my post i used reddit and youtube a lot when i got 11 hours SoT.
I have experienced 6-11 hours SoT. So 7 hours is not bad... It all depends on which apps that are used.
I have charged it this morning, now It has past 2h and 45 min since the charging, screen on time 52 min and 88% left. It says only 20h are left before the battery runs out.

the battery of the phone is garbage... imho

trhe problem is the display that drain all the charge. i see the battery information right now 6 hours of screen , 92% of display battery usage, all the rest are applications and system. hope that xiaomi and poco will fix something.
That's really disappointing. I had a oneplus one with a similar display and similar on screen time. But with a much smaller battery. I expected at least 8 hours of screen time for poco x3.
Guys yesterday I achieved 4.15 hours of sot with 50% battery left. 50/50 WiFi and 4g, heavy usage. With 120hz.

yea, exactly... on pocophone f1 i pushed around 9 10 hours.. easily .. i gues more optimisation is needed, i dont believe that 845 ifs more efficient than 732g .. cmon its 5000mah battery this thing should last at least 11-12 h sot

today, i unplug phone around 3am.. now is 13:30 i got 59% battery and 5h sot . I had a half an hour video call, some youtube, and instafram, facebook, and lotts of browsing all is done at 60hz.. tomotow ill try to do same thing on 120 and brightness was on auto all the time (mainly under 50%)

i get now 81 % and 1:30 sot on wifi auto brightness 120 hz its not bad but battery its 5k check it in accu and it show 5160 so its not the battery maybe its that 120hz
But some ppl are reporting really nice sot around 10h is there any chance to check our screen manufacturer maybe Xiaomi use few different panels in poco 3 in check hw info app form gp and service menu but i can't find this info.
Usual for me is 6-7 hrs sot with 50% left

According to AccuBattery I got about 12h SOT, thats about what I expected.
Medium usage, 120hz activated, energy saving off.
I guess the adaptive refreshrate helps a lot to save energy, e.g. it quite instantly drops to 30hz if watching a normal Youtube video.
It's strange this problem, 90% of display battery usage, it's a bug ? a global problem ?
After the update I have better battery endurance, 51% left with 5 hours SOT and just a tiny charging time during the day.
If someone has a battery issue you can try what i just did yesterday. Go to about the phone and update click in the right upper corner and click download newest update or something like that it will download full 2.4 gb rom and after that just do the update, maybee that 240 mb was quack

I'm a little disappointed for the battery life of this Poco X3. At least for me: with normal usage, under wifi, social and messaging apps, with 60hz refresh rate I get maximum 6/7hrs SoT. I hope it will be optimize in next updates.
