I check the Cyanogenmod site every once in a while, and to my surprise as the title says, CM14.1 was finally released today. I really need my phone right now so I can't mess with it, but I will definitely be installing it in the future a) to start getting up to date android security releases and b) to upgrade to Nougat. I am hoping that CM14.1 will be released for the Nexus 4 soon as I would install it there immediately and use it as both a backup phone and to discover all the features of CM 14, as I never used any CM in the past.

Thanks for the heads-up. Appreciated.
Hey guys! Some very talented developers have been working on unofficial releases for a while already, and I am unsure whether to go for their takes or wait until an Official version is released. Any predictions on when this might happen? Or should I just void my warranty and go for Vache's build? Thanks!!!
I might also like this. While Motorola says they will release Oreo for Potter, they seemingly haven't provided any timetable for that. I am a bit hesitant to install a LineageOS nightly on my daily driver, but I would love having the option, especially if it turns out that Motorola botches the Oreo upgrade.

I have been using Vache's/fAIyaZ 7.1.2 build for some days now. Only found one bug, Skype wouldn't manage to access the camera for video-chatting, but I found a solution for it (activating Camera 2 API from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/themes/potentially-google-camera-port-t3684264 ). Other than that, everything works perfectly (and a lot better than the Moto built-in tracking suite they ship the phone with).
Applying an unofficial fix to an unofficial port sounds a bit problematic. Do you think it would be possible for Vache/fAlyaZ to fix this in their port somehow? Or would it be more of a gapps thing? Or neither?
It seems so insane to me that there is no official LineageOS for Potter yet? I couldn't have even imagined that it wouldn't be released quickly when I bought the Moto G5 Plus - I though it is such a popular phone, so well reviewed for the price, able to be unlocked, etc. How can it no be better supported by the LineageOS team?
Sorry to necro this thread, but Oreo has now been officially released for Potter, after seemingly forever. What are the chances of getting an official 15.1 build for Potter any time soon?
I know Vache's unofficial build is much loved on here, and I think there's a 16.0 unofficial build I've seen flowing around as well, but some of us would rather go with an official build if one is available.
Don't mean to be a d*ck, but just follow the trending topics on the forum and you'll see where everyone has flocked to. At the moment I believe there's no need to program Lineage for Pie, when we have one extremely good AOSP based version online. Install the Pie version of the system that can be shot from a bow and never look back... Vache did a great job for as long as he did it, and a couple of other contributors too, so <3 thank you
now everyone seems to be somewhere else, that's how it goes
all the previous versions and knowledge gained from them kept being passed forward to ports from the next version of Android as well, so you'd have to look at Lineage Pie. Lineage16 seems to still be too raw for Potter, which means you likely won't see any official version soon. With Pie out, everyone's efforts turn to it, so you can see also that the 15.1 thread is pretty much dead.
https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/02/13/lineageos-13-based-android-marshmallow-now-discontinued/
When I still thought I could continue using LineageOS 13 on my Tab pro 8.4 LTE (SM-T325) longer, and now it got discontinued.
Ending of support for the wifi version, means it should be the same for LTE version. :crying:
Because everything runs so smoothly and stable, unlike LineageOS 14 builds found in the forum which have many bugs like camera, torch not working. :crying:
Any chance of Lineageos 14 for Tab Pro 8.4 (WiFi and LTE) owners with bugs fixed?
Edit: Sounds like all of 13.0, sadly just the last version that supported our device. Makes sense I guess but sad to hear Likely a lot harder to get 14 working as we don't have any compiled drivers for things like camera under the new version of Android (no proprietary Samsung firmware for mondrianwifi runs the later Android and likely never will)
I'm happy to continue using it for the forseeable future
It's such a shame that the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 got such a bad software support from Samsung and it was not that popular among the community. Its successor, which is VERY similar, was much better supported. It also came with Kitkat (4.4.2) and it was updated up until Marshmallow (6.0.1). Moreover, LineageOS has an official 14.1 build for it: https://download.lineageos.org/klimtwifi Since they are so similar, isn't there any chance to backport some of the work done on Tab S 8.4 to the Tab Pro 8.4?
So sad but it is true
I just found this out as I had not checked for updates for my 8.4 tab (MondrianWiFi) running 13.0 in the last few months.... When I went to just check for an update there was none and in fact ALL builds were gone. I guess I better save and backup my current build in case it gets corrupt because it's the very last update I will ever get. ? Crap
Is there an Archive somewhere that the last updated version of 13.0 could be found?
I was going to update from the last CM flash I did about 2-3 years ago and I seem to have missed the boat...

Luckily I went from the CM 12.1 snapshot to lineageos early this month. Here is a mirror I made of 2/11.
drive.google(dot)com/file/d/1oZZbqik-fwEeRN8qKHtlF0hkT9TPo46Y/view?usp=drivesdk
(Sorry, I didn't get the sha)
Looking at the internet archive page web.archive(dot)org/web/20180323182211/https://download.lineageos(dot)org/mondrianwifi
The mirrorbits link has been taken down, but it seems this build is the latest unless someone fixed whatever was preventing new builds.
Sorry for link formatting I don't have 10 posts. I hope it is allowed to post links like this but it seems to be a restriction on the posting itself and not a rule so IDK.

THANK YOU! I just subbed to this thread yesterday, hoping someone would come through with a download. My tablet was running Slim6 perfectly, but I had a memory card crash, so was wanting to check out other options. Came here a tad too late to get the ROM, but fortunately you posted. How is Lineage working for you?

I also switched due to SD failure. It has been working nearly perfectly. My only issues so far have been somehow triggering the dismissible internal system problem on boot (failed gltools install?) and android n-ify not working as well.
Haven't bought a new SD yet, so I can't testify about that.
Technically have been having random crashes, but I'm pretty sure it is battery related as it is much more stable at higher percents/charging/low load.

I wonder which version of GApps you're running? The one I tried didn't work at all. Crashes all the time.

Open gapps nano (the filename was open_gapps-arm-6.0-nano-20180401.zip)
There are some odd crashes with drive uploads and youtube randomly breaking, but that was happening on my 5.1 setup soo
I have been deliberateing to flash Lineage OS 15.1 (LOS 15.1) for my X Compact. I know how to do it, but I fear that LOS 15.1 is worse than Sonys edition of Android 8.0.
Please, could someone how has flashed LOS 15.1 on X Compact tell is it worthy. What's working example noise cancelling and camera. What is not working?
Thank you already!
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Are you going to build it? I'm not aware of any Lineage 15 for XC...
A while ago @Chippa_a mentioned a 15.1 (and maybe 16.0) public build for kugo was planned in the near future. Don't know if that has actually been realized though.

Unfortunately I'm not going to build LOS 15.1 for X Compact. Sorry for misleading.
Ohh... Sorry my mistake . I mean Android 8.1 by SonyAOSP Team from Android File Host. I'm not able to post outside links in here, because my account is new. I check Android 8.1 for X Compact few week ago. After that I flash LOS 15.1 for my older phone. I mess these two up.

I see.. I personally would like to use AOSP 8.1, just to see if I could mod it, but the problem I've had with it is that I can't seem to get root working. The builds seem to run great, but I get a bootloop any time I try to modify anything. I haven't gotten any response back about it, but one user did say that they got Magisk working.
However, I have to say that I would doubt that you're going to find a better rom overall than eXistenZ for stock 8.0. I have yet to find anything for xc that comes close... (as far as Android goes - right now, I'm using Sailfish on my xc, and it's great)
Does anyone know where I can find the last OFFICIAL LineageOS image for the Nexus 4? I'm not interested in more recent unofficial builds. Thank you.

The last official builds of LOS 14.1 are still available for download from someone's ftp just using Wayback Machine. Unfortunately, all latest LOS 15.1 links are down now.
And here you can find one of the lasts — or maybe the last ever — official release of LOS 15.1 for Nexus 4.
Bro, I'm looking for it, but it seems that many official ones have stopped supporting it for a long time, but there are private ones. I have seen some that support Android 11. It should be the latest version. I haven't tried it yet. What do you think?
Thanks all. I flashed the Nexus 4 with the link Waldold provided above. Feels snappy and no showstoppers so far. Many thanks.
2021redmi2fans,
I am happier with older android releases, so I haven't been looking for private releases with more recent android versions. I just use f-droid.org for apps & no apps I've tried need anything so recent. I actually might even try an earlier release later on.
