I am going to keep this very short and not too lengthy.
Is anyone porting TWRP for the fire HD 8 2017?
I am not finding any thread to help unlock the boot loader of this device. Can anyone guide me as to how i can get this done?
Are there any ROMs as well which i know will take some time but if anyone has a ROM ported that'd be awesome.
I am not only asking these questions for myself but for anyone who share the same concerns as I do.
Thanks to everyone
Special Thanks TO:

Please update me and everyone else to whom it may concern via this thread.
Thanks Again! ?

Hi everyone,
I’m using CM7 for a month now and very appreciate it ! I’m a bit of a noob in the Android & Linux world and so I wanted to have more information about a few things that I’m reading regularly. I’m looking for papers, blog posts, wiki sources or your personal tips and tricks about :
- In what consist porting a ROM to a device ? I mean for instance in what consists the porting of the ICS sources to a mod as Cyanogenmod 9 for a specific device ? (I’m using the Motorola Defy)
- What is building a ROM? And what are Nightlies ?
- What are the main difficulties in porting sources to other devices?
- How does rooting of a device works? What is modified in the device?
- How is the bootmenu installed ? What is modified to have access to that menu during the booting ?
I’m asking because I was looking for technical information and found nothing !
So, if you could help with all kinds of information and sources, do not hesitate !
Thank you everyone !

For boot menu, the logwrapper binary is changed to a new file. That file is one of the first things run by the kernel, and this binary is used to hook in and light the blue LED, and listen for a button press. It then starts the boot menu for real if you press the down button, and displays it on the screen.
Rooting is exploiting of a vulnerability in the device, in order to gain root (superuser/administrator) access, and thus full control of the running system. You then leave a binary in place to allow further access as root without issues (su binary), and Superuser.apk to control root access on a per-app basis.
Thank you for answering.
Do you know what kind of vulnerability is exploited ?

Yes. psneuter is the standard root exploit the one click tools use
Checklist of Things to Do w/ Axon 7
1. Unlock Bootloader - DONE
2. Flash TWRP - DONE
3. Get Root Access, along with Root apps - DONE
4. Flash Cyanogenmod 13.1 - PENDING
Who is interested in seeing Cyanogenmod 13.1 running on the ZTE Axon 7 as much as I am? If so, please post on this thread. Hopefully, the right people will check this out and get the ball rolling on this project.
Why don't you build it ? ?
We are never happy ... let the devs work ... on the other hand they have a life and bills to pay !

If you want your question answered just contact Cyanogen directly.
***Thread Cleaned*** (removed negative, counterproductive comments/quotes, for a fresh start)
Some concerned users brought this thread to the attention of Moderation staff.
A good practice is to have the dev needing the device (Unjustified Dev) set up their own donation link, express their desire to dev for the device, and put out a little description of the work they intend to do for that device (ie; unlock bootloader, Roms , Kernels, etc)...
Otherwise, third party donation links usually only raise suspicion, mistrust, and rarely accomplish the goal of helping the dev get a device.
I applaud those who want to support developers (they certainly deserve the support), let's make sure we do it in a way that isn't counterproductive to the goal or the donation process.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Well, in order to build a rom you need:
Device Tree
Kernel
Vendor/Proprietary files
We have versions of the first two already loaded on GitHub. It's a (hard) matter of someone figuring out what proprietary files we need and then going through the iterative testing to ensure all the hardware components are working. So, let the devs have time with the phone to see what they can figure out and we'll start seeing development.
Please Cyanogenmod come to this device..
Guys ...... are you intrested in porting custom roms to your device .... If yes then I will post a guide about successful rom porting guide (full)
In other guides, init.rc files cause bootloop but I can teach you how to change init.rc file to prevent bootloop as well....
(Especially for BLU devices )
So if you want me to post a tutorial , then say thanks and comment on my post ....
You dont need to type anything , just type "......." few dots
Just go on and share
Let's go... Lol

Yes there is a drastic need for this. I have a Blu Studio 5.0C that BLU no longer supports.
ROM LINEAGE 14.1 for BLU STUDIO X8 HD
Dear, I want to install a Lineage 14.1 ROM on my BLU STUDIO X8 HD, but I am afraid I have not found one specific for it; Can you help me?

Just post the tutorial. Please. I think you'd find that in short order BLU phones would FINALLY have more than a few scattered ROMs from am explosion of porting.
Thanks and please

Please do! I currently have a BLU G9 PRO, (G0231WW) and can't seem to find any support for it which bites it's a really decent phone. I've managed to port twrp for it yet haven't gotten it to cooperate with the OS. A guide would be a blessing to learn from.
Hello everyone
I tried installing android Oreo on my Ze552kl, but the installation was not finalized successfully.
So I decided it would be smarter to install the rom along with a Recovery and do a Root Direct.
Does anyone have a Tutorial, or any indication of Rom with less bugs in Oreo?
thankful

Did you even bother to look? There's already a thread about this here.
Thanks, I had searched, but I found only a few comments on the subject, I could not find the topic
Hi everyone,
I was very excite when I saw this post on TRWP site: https://twrp.me/site/update/2020/12/31/twrp-3.5.0-released.html since it would add the so much missed support for native android 10 devices like my 1+7tp mclaren, but to build this twrp you need an android device specific for 7tp mclaren I belive (similar to the ones found in https://github.com/TeamWin/?q=android_device_oneplus) (the android 10 branch)
Are there any guides on how to do this? I'm more than willing to give it a go and share it back if i manage to get it working.
My whole point in getting a OnePlus device was that I could dual boot (it would be really nice to be able to dual boot nethunter for work since I constantly need to do simple security assessments on the fly. Having that possibility on my mobile would be a huge time saver for me)
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
And congratulations to all on this forum. It's always great to see the coding communities at work!
