SM-G928L (LGU+ Variant) Debrand - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Greetings!
Just wanted to ask whether if it's possible to flash the Global Firmware - "SM-G928G" as a means to debrand my "SM-G928L" S6 Edge Plus (LGU+ Variant).
The phone's carrier status had reached its end-of-contract to LGU+. It also accepts any Simcard inserted and is Carrier-Lock Free.
However, a multitude of questions suppress me from flashing the firmware, leaving me with the following inquiries:
Pre/Post-Flash Questions:
1. If I flash the Global Version on the Phone (India), will I still retain the no carrier-lock status?
2. Is it possible to flash from one firmware model to the other? (G928L > G928G).
3. Are there significant differences on the Global Version and the Carrier-specific Version that I currently have?
Here are some of the reasons as to why I want to debrand the phone:
1. Several Carrier/Modem Settings are inaccessible.
2. Several Phone Settings are inaccessible.
3. Firmware Storage Allocation is taking up all the space on my device.
Looking forward to your quick response. Thank you!

[Question] Removing carrier apps/buying carrier phone

So, since i've never actually cared for knox, i've searched very little about tripping it and since i want to use samsung pay, i have the following questions:
1 - Bought the S7E from my carrier and it will probably arrive with more bloatwares, so i was thinking, could i flash any ZTO update to it using Odin? (It's an 935F)
2 - If yes, how would OTA updates work? Following my country's schedule or the firmware default location?
3 - If it's the second, which one would you say it's the best?
First of all, congrats on joining the Galaxy Team.
1. Theoretically speaking, you may flash firmwares from different countries if and ONLY if it's the G935F variant, as the G935F is the international model ,and assuming of course your carrier hasn't had the bootloader locked, which is less likely.
2. The OTA updates would follow the firmwares default location regardless of your geographical location.
3. I think as long as you get the international variant (G935F) than you are making a great decision as the bootloader is locked and there's much room for development.
Hope this helps!

Z5 E6683 VoWiFI/Flashing Questions

Hi all,
I'm trying to get my wife's E6683 phone to work with WiFi calling on EE in the UK. The phone was bought third-party and has generic (non-EE) firmware on it.
I *think* i need to download and flash the EE firmware onto the phone for this to work, since there are no options for WiFi calling present on the current (vanilla) firmware.
So I have the following questions:
1. Do I need to flash EE firmware onto it, or is there another way?
2. Can I flash the EE firmware onto it *without* wiping the phone?
3. The only UK EE firmware available is for the single-sim E6653 variant. Various posts suggest this is ok to flash single-sim firmware onto the Dual SIM equivalent, but can anyone confirm? (I don't care if the Dual SIM aspect of the phone stops working)
4. Is it a risky process? I'm semi-familiar with ADB and I've flashed phones before, but I'm no expert. I found a guide on hardreset.info, but are there any better or more specific ones?
Many thanks for any help!

Trying to make my S8 "Canadian"

Noob here. Checked forums for answers, but getting confused.
Just bought an S8, model SM-G950FD, which appears as though it's from UAE. I'd like to avail myself of VoLTE and WiFi calling on my main SIM (these features aren't important to me on my secondary SIM). CSC on phone is OXM_XSG.
1. Is it possible to flash my phone with a Canadian CSC even though my processor is Exynos?
2. If yes, where do I get the appropriate file to flash?
3. Can somebody spoon-feed this old guy on how to do this? I already downloaded Odin, but I want to hear from some more experienced folks so that I don't brick my phone.
4. Lastly, my main SIM is Canadian but my second SIM is from Europe. If I change my CSC to a Canadian carrier, will this affect the operation of my European SIM?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

S6 edge plus firmware flashing (stock rom shift)

Greetings! Is it possible to flash a firmware that does not coincide with the specified model number of the S6 Edge+? I am planning to flash the Global Version (SM-G928G) of the S6 Edge Plus to my Korean (SM-G928L) Variant from a former LGU+ Carrier plan. There are a lot of things that bother me with the current firmware installed on my phone as it prevents me from obtaining access to the following:
1. No Sim Toolkit Menu
2. No Mobile Network Settings
3. No Voice-over-LTE option
4. Outdated Firmware Updates
Looking forward to your opinions and thoughts. Thank you and God Bless!

Switching firmware for SM-G975U (need advice)

Hi guys, need some advice on S10+.
I'm from an Asia country and last year I bought a new S10+ from a online seller which does grey imports for mobile phones, because I want a Snapdragon version over the Exynos, which is what most Asia countries get.
The Model number (SM-975U) and Baseband version (G975USQS3CTB6) are indicating this is a US variant but I can't tell which carrier it is because there is no carrier logo on the phone or when I turn on the phone, no bloatwares as well.
The only down side is this Baseband/carrier does not have updates since March 2020. I tried checking for updates but got nothing.
What I try to get:
1. Latest original firmware which will continue to update itself (hopefully)
2. No carrier bloatware
3. No need root or custom roms (Doesnt go well with banking apps)
I have experience rooting and flashing custom firmware on my previous Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but I can't remember if I have done unlocking bootloader before, lol.
Need advice on:
1. Which firmware should I choose?
2. I remember XDA forums used to have useful Guide under Sticky Threads but now I don't see it. I hope this guide will be able to help me with what I am trying to do.
3. I probably sound stupid here, is there any flashable settings file that is friendly to Asian region/telco? I am noticing a bit of network weakness on my phone, I hope its just me.
Thanks to anyone who reads this.
You've aquired the US Unlocked Snapdragon variant, it's not associated with any US carrier and it's not bootloader unlocked. Flashing updated FW is likely your best bet, it's available here.

The only other option for an update is Samsung's SmartSwitch. Whether or not it's compatible depends on your local service provider.
