LG V20 AT&T - H910 - Manual OREO Update - LG V20 Questions & Answers

i have an AT&T variant of LG V20 but because it is locked via AT&T therefore i was unable to receive any OTA update as i dont have an AT&T sim card.
I simply want to update my LG V20 to OREO from nougat. My LG V20 is not rooted nor i intend to have it rooted after i update it, i just want to update is the way it had been updated OTA if it had been. Please help me with a step by step guide on how to do so. Thanks in Advance. I have seen other post where similar questions are asked but they want it rooted on oreo which is not my concern as i want the stock rom only. Also my model no is H910, i know it is important as i have already seen people post without models and have had issues with flashing and stuff. Please help me.

Your only options are to root or get an att sim to be able to get the ota as there are no kdz for the H910

Need a root method for LG V20 AT&T

I'm wanting to update from a note 4 to the LG V20 but I don't need another phone I can't root... So is there anyone with a root out for this phone... I'm dying for a new phone with root capability... I would greatly appreciate it..
anyone? I have an ATT LGV20 and just want to know if I can root it somehow? Does it have to be "unlocked" first?

Look in the ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries & Other Developments. The AT&T variant is the H910 - so there is currently a bootloader unlock & root method available for it. (I have the H910 and am unlocked & rooted )
Twisted
I didn't think that the H910 was bootable yet. I don't see anything in the Roms section. Only stuff for the H918.
Edit
Actually I'm CONFIDENT that it isnt rootable yet!

I'm confident you need glasses
Root was obtained for the AT&T H910 a week ago and the thread is the most popular one in the roms section. So you need to look again, or do a search for "[LS997|VS995|H910|F800L] DirtySanta Bootloader unlock and Root guide"

... I wear glasses, so... yeeeeeeeeeah.... >.<
I use the XDA app, and all I was able to see were H918 roms. I've heard of the DirtySanta unlock though, but wasn't aware that it was for the H910 now too. And if it's only a week old, then that's still brand new.

Lg v20 VS995 7.0 root?

Ive looked around I'm the forum and can't find anything 7.0 specific. I'm not sure if its still a reliable option as I havent used it since my s3, but one click root says it will work with 7.0.
Anyone have an input or a link for a full on tutorial. I dont mind manually doing it as I said I couldn't find 7.0 specific threads.
Not sure if it matters but my software version is VS99T14B.
Thank you.
Vs995 is rooted. gotta downgrade from 14B though. the stock firmware is 7.0 so the only root related threads are FOR 7.0. You need to use Dirtysanta

Thank you. Forgot to request a close someone answered in another thread. I wasn't sure if I could downgrade or not. I saw sonewhere they patched downgrading. But thank you for the response, better to get the same answer from more than one person.

Just purchased an H918 10k - should I take OTA update?

Is there anything I should know in particular to 10k? It sounds like rooting isn't enabled unless i downgrade to another firmware version (is it even possible?).

Same thing with me. Recieved h918 with 10k. Downgraded to j, unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp and custom rom.
Is there a specific page you'd suggest for me to follow our search term? Sorry I'm very new to this and thanks.

Find the post with LGUp (restore even for bricked devices) and follow the instructions to downgrade. There are also some youtube videos which are very helpful, in order to downgrade or after, unlock bootloader and so on..

need help lg v20 h918v10r.
Does anyone have any way to help me downgrade it to h918v10j?
Currently the h918v10r version is antirollback version 1 so downgrade to h918v10j is not.

Hi,im using a couple phone,ip8 and an LG G4 LS991,i love lg but things that i hate is this g4 is the bootloader cant be unlock coz my device antirollback was v4 and i cant root or modifying the phone.
Looking for a month but many thread say the v4 cant be bootloader unlocked.
So...

Please answer me,your ans very helpful, after solved ill delete the thread.
Huge Thanks.
Whatever you do, don't EVER buy a phone from Sprint. You really should stay away from ALL carriers, but if you must buy a carrier branded phone -- T-Mobile is the only choice.
For now, the LS997 (Sprint V20) is the only model that can't be rooted.
