Hi guys. Wondering if I can get some feedback on people's experience with the stock USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. I am experience audio ducking/muting and static when the male portion of the adapter is bumped or moved in any way. It shouldn't even move.... but at this point it's on its way out. Has anyone found a solid alternative adapter in the case it gets worse? I'm pretty disappointed in this. It was nice of OP to include an adapter but stupid to get rid of the headphone jack to begin with. Very frustrating.

Hi all,
has anyone else notived the fact that the headphone jack (when using an adapter and high quality headphones) is quite loose and that the plug almost falls out? I used to own a Magician and was quite happy with the "tight" jack
Same problem here.
I too have bought multiple adapters, and ALL are loose. You will find that there should be three sections on your jack for this phone. These fit tight every time and is what I have settled with, HOWEVER, the adapter I used has a PTT mic/clip and a universal 3.5mm two section audio jack. This is the only way to get a tight fit that I have found.

This fits tightly and works well. The cable section reduces the stress on the connector too.

I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to use the usb port on the hermes and turn it into a line-in jack using the 8th inch adapter that is meant for audio out via software. Reason being is that with a 400mhz processor and 2-4-6gb sd cards it would be nice if I could turn my device into a portable harddrive recording unit for my mixes. Only problem to that is a line-in. Any intelligent responses are appreciated.
totally possible, and i believe a hardware dongle exists already for that very purpose
but there is no reason why you couldn't modify your original headset (other than the fact it uses tiny wires, as a audiophile i like 4gauge, on everything. haha) to assist you.
easiest thing to do would be lop off the mic and wire a jack onto its pads, BUT you will need to watch your levels in ANY case to make sure you are not giving your device wayyy to much power.
Yeah I definately thought levels would be an issue if i decided to just solder somethin up. Other thing is it's mono. Would be nice to have stereo since Im pretty sure it can handle it. If you could post a link to that hardware dongle you were mentioning i'd appreciate it. If its less than a hundred bucks I just assume get that for the purpose of stereo and not to mention not having to bother with soldering crappy little wires.
That I can buy, that will plug into my auxiliary jack in on my Saturn Vue, so I can listen to music on the go?
Thanks
Wouldn't this be a better question for a Saturn forum? Good luck!
The auxillary jack is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nothing abnormal.
So you're asking for a Kaiser USB -> 3.5" female adapter? 2-in-1 USB adapter (found on amazon) fills that need and you can charge at the same time.
You'd just need a male-male 3.5" cable in between the two for audio output. No need for bluetooth unless you want to get fancy, but you'd still need to charge your phone, so might as well use a completely wired solution.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the suggestion Alex, I already have this, but my problem is that my usb port was messed up , and now I can't use the wired solution. Otherwise I would stick with the wired.
Maybe something here
Mitch, I love you. Thanks, the Sony Ericcson was exactly what I was looking for.
Does anyone know of a adapter or device that will adapt my headphones for use with the USB mini?
how 'bout this noob ^?
So I saw the adapter in the store banner right after posting this. Anyone use the Javo? How is the sound quality on a good pair of phones?

If you're super cheap, use the adaptor that came with your Touch in conjunction with this 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor. Very cheap, free shipping, and great website!

Hi Everyone,
I plugged my A7 through the HDMI port to my projector, it works with no issues whatsoever! But the sound jack doesn't work once the HDMI is plugged. Is there a way to force the sound to work even if HDMI is plugged in? Or even the speakers?
Thank you,
Marc
I have run into this issue with other devices, not the A7 yet though.
Once HDMI was connected the device only wanted to send audio over it and disabled all others.
My projector had RCA L/R out, but no internal speakers.
What I ended up having to do was get a RCA -> headphone jack adapter from Radio Shack and use regular PC speakers from that.
Probably not the solution you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
Possible solution
The option I'm looking at right now is an HDMI switch. It has 2 inputs for HDMI and outputs 4 HDMI and an RCA. I'm not really insterested in dishing out the 70$ for it though.
