Hi, I am facing a fairly confusing problem. I decrypted my SD card on my Samsung galaxy A5 (2017), when I switched to Pocophone I removed SD card without decrypting it. I performed a hard rest on samsung A5 and also my sim card tray broke inside and while retrieving the sim I damaged sd card slot, now it won't detect SD card anymore. I haven't formatted SD card till now it has all the files but unreadable. I still have my Samsung phone with me. Is there a way to decrypt SD card via attaching USB OTG card reader, or via Samsung PC service??

I have recently purchased a SanDisk Extreme Micro SD 64gb SD card for my S7 Edge.
On Android 6.0 I had various issues writing to it. Since the Nougat upgrade it has worked faultlessly until this morning. The phone will not detect it at all.
Is there a compatibility issue with this card or is it simply faulty ?
Sounds like the issue could be the card. It's happened to me with the same SD card.
Connect the sd card to a computer using a SD card reader.
Backup all your data.
Put the SD card in the phone and choose to format it.
Connect SD card to computer and put all files back on the SD card.
Put SD card back in the phone and should work as normal.
That worked for me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which I am no longer using as a phone, but as a media player. In it I have mounted a San Disk Ultra Plus 200GB Micro SD XC1 Card which houses my music collection. The problem is that the Micro SD Card, when mounted in the phone, is not being recognised by my Windows 10 Laptop or my iMac, running under Sierra.
Further investigations have produced the following results:
1. When the Micro SD Card is attached to either my Laptop or iMac via a card reader, both are able to read the card and its contents.
2. When I attach the phone without the Micro SD card, both my Laptop and iMac find the phone via Samsung SmartSwitch and Android File Transfer respectively.
3. When I mount the Micro SD Card into the phone neither the Laptop or Mac find the phone or the card via Samsung SmartSwitch and Android File Transfer respectively.
4. When I experimented with a 32GB micro SD Card the Laptop and iMac found both the phone and the Micro SD Card.
5. The phone as a media player plays music from the Micro SD Card with no problem
I have gone through the process of Developer Options and USB Debugging and updating the software as 2 & 4 would not work if I had not.
My conclusions from all this are:
1. I find it hard to believe the format of the card is the issue as the card reader option would not work.
2. Could the issue be the size of the card (200GB) as the smaller Micro SD Card (32GB) worked?
Any thoughts or suggestions most welcome!
When my SD card is locked, i.e. switched to read-only, it cannot be mounted via otg + sd card reader. My phone says my sd card is "corrupted".
However, if my SD card is unlocked, it can be mounted without problem.
Is it normal behavior? Recalling my memory, my old Note 2 LTE did not behave like this.
My C9 pro is running 7.1.1. I use the bundled OTG adaptor and tried both Kingston MobileLite G4 card reader and Eye-fi card reader (the reader came with my Eye-fi card years ago).
