Hi, I'm trying to find the proper Unlocked Firmware to flash onto my at&t phone. Does anyone know if any of these will work?

I have a galaxy S 4 for Cricket model SCH-R970C. I need to unlock the phone to able to use the SIM slot outside the U.S. I've been able to root the phone and I tried flashing a i9505 ROM thinking that would unlock the use of the SIM with no luck. The baseband modem firmware does not change when I flash a different ROM. There is little to no info out there about the cricket GS4. Is it possible to flash different modem firmware so that the phone can behave as an i9505 model? The hardware is the same... just can't change the modem firmware.
I need this ASAP otherwise I need to find a new phone! I'm not in the US now and calling Cricket is not an option. I tried flashing a different modem firmware using ODIN but it fails. What am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm willing to "donate" $$ for a solution. Thanks.

Hi,
You should not flash a modem that is not meant for your phone.
You are risking a brick if you try it.
Your best bet may be to just buy an unlock code online.
Sent telepathically from my S4

No, i gave up on the phone. I don't think it's that easy to change the baseband firmware on the phone. I didn't try buying an unlock code, but that might be the only solution for now - just make sure the unlock code is specifically for the cricket model.
Has any managed unlock it? I need older modems in order to complete. The unlocking please provide me with them if you have.
I have a rooted an unlocked i337m. It has an imei of 0 and I have no idea what to do since any Sim card I put in it says unregistered Sim.
1. Can anyone please point me Ina direction of a DIY fix?
2. I was going to try and flash back to stock via Odin since I'm only on 4.2.2 rooted but the phone was rooted when I bought it and bloatware removed.so I have no idea what carrier it's on. Any ideas on how to find that out do I can know which stock firmware to flash? Thanks for any help
If no custom rom or buildprop modified, you should be able to check buildprop for original carrier afaik
Im using a 900v on ATT, rooted, all is well with that, BUT I would like to ask if anyone can steer me straight on what modem I can flash?
Being it's a Verizon phone I'm scared lol jk
So anyone willing to help?
You need to flash the modem / firmware for your phone, the G900V. Don't try and flash firmware from other variants.
So there's no clear cut guide for what I want to do and I see this and that about what needs to be flashed first, or CSC, etc....
My question:
Can I flash the ATT version of the Unlocked FW (G950U1) http://updato.com/-archive-select-model?record=6032047A52D711E7963AFA163EE8F90B onto the AT&T S8 G950U the standard way, using the modded Odin and not need fancy work arounds, etc...???

Yes, you can flash any U carrier firmware to a U1 phone. It will data wipe your phone though. You have to use the patched version of ODIN to flash it. Once you're on carrier firmware, it should get OTA updates if you have that carriers SIM card put in.
